Chapter 756: Diabolical Guests
The Dark Elves outside Ludmila’s castle are still in disbelief at the abundance of wonderful food continuously brought from the mysterious portal by Lucien’s wives. But the miracles don’t seem to stop there, as those who were severely injured inside the castle now emerge more alive than ever.
The medics, now fully revitalized by Sophia’s magic, don’t stop to celebrate; instead, they spread throughout the city, healing every injured Dark Elf.
Inside the castle, Maya looks at Lucien with a bright, wide smile, while Ludmila wears a shocked expression.
"All this that you are doing... everything..." She looks at Lucien and Sophia with eyes full of gratitude. "I can’t repay you... and I don’t know what you want..."
Lucien can see that Ludmila is truly grateful, but she isn’t going to let her guard down easily, especially since with each good deed, she grows more fearful of what he might want in return.
Holding Sophia in his arms, Lucien smiles at the mature elf. "Just keep an open mind, and lead us to a place where we can talk privately."
"Of course," she quickly nods and begins to ascend the stairs of the main hall. "This way."
Lucien follows Ludmila, carrying Sophia, with his other sisters, Cecilia, Svetlana, Maya, and Nea in tow. The rest of the girls continue to aid the Dark Elves in their recovery.
The group ascends the grand, dark staircase and walks along the shadowy corridors on the upper floors.
Small ornamental windows create spaces for rays of light to enter the corridors, but the sunlight loses much of its brightness in the somber atmosphere of the Shadow Star, making magical lamps the primary source of light within the castle.
The numerous rooms throughout the castle, from which the elves healed by Sophia’s magic are now emerging, attest to the scale of her impact. As these elves catch sight of Sophia in Lucien’s arms, they immediately recognize their savior, her aura radiating life.
The elves yearn to kneel before Sophia and thank her profusely. Understanding their gratitude, Ludmila tries to quickly usher the group to a more private location, not wanting to deny them their expression of thanks but also needing to keep things orderly.
Ludmila leads them to the top floor of the castle, into a grand dining hall adorned with antique furniture and a fireplace. Despite its apparent wear, the room isn’t as disheveled as the rest of the castle.
As Lucien observes the surroundings, Ludmila introduces the room. "This is an old dining hall of our family... there’s no one left but me to use it these days."
Lucien detects a tinge of nostalgia and sadness in Ludmila’s voice as she mentions her family, and he briefly notices a similar shade of sorrow in Cecilia’s eyes.
"This place will do," Envy materializes her body and comments.𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
The other Sins appear as well, except for Sloth, who prefers to remain within Sophia’s soul.
Svetlana and Ludmila are surprised to see Envy again and notice her ability to materialize and dematerialize her body, just as Lust, who appears next.
The young elf becomes increasingly bewildered and curious about the mysterious demons, but Ludmila quickly recalls all the stories she has heard and read in books about the most dangerous demons of all.
"You are the seven deadly sins, aren’t you?" she asks, piecing together the identities of these enigmatic figures.
"The Seven Deadly Sins???" Svetlana asks before they can respond, then she immediately looks at Lucien. "You must be Lust, for sure!"
He smiles as Lust sighs and the other Sins cast thoughtful glances at him.
Before he can reply, Ludmila quickly glances at Lust before turning her attention back to Lucien. "No, he’s the host and she’s the Sin."
"Oh, really?" Svetlana looks at them with an impressed expression.
Lucien just nods, and Ludmila continues speaking. "The seven sins are all women, but a demonic host... wait, you’re a hybrid??"
The rest of the group can’t help but praise Ludmila’s observational skills and intelligence; it seems nothing escapes the sharp gaze of the mature elf.
He nods with a seductive and friendly smile, but not everyone is in a good mood, and Donna and Naomi’s patience is running thin.
"Enough small talk," Donna exclaims, slamming her hand on the table before casting a hostile glance at Cecilia. "We need answers now!"
Naomi stands beside Donna, also directing an inquisitive look at Amelia’s mother. "We need to know what the hell is going on here!"
Ludmila and Svetlana are confused, but they don’t want to interfere in Cecilia’s reaction and Lucien’s group.
Svetlana remains silent, but as Ludmila is now the host, and friendly with Cecilia, she feels it’s her duty to do something.
"Please," she says to the girls in a polite yet firm tone. "Don’t be hostile towards my guests in my home."
Donna and Naomi continue to glare at Cecilia, but Wrath approaches Ludmila, materializing her massive war mace.
"And what if I turn your house into a pile of stone dust?" Wrath asks, revealing her sharp teeth in a diabolical smile.
"I..." Ludmila tries to maintain a friendly posture, but without losing firmness.
However, Gluttony suddenly appears, floating from a pink cloud right in front of her, shaking her head. "What a way to treat us after we’ve fed and saved your people from a slow and painful death..."
"I am grateful, very grateful," Ludmila quickly speaks. "But Cecilia is also an ally of my people, and I cannot let you intimidate her—"
As the elf speaks, Gluttony moves closer, also showing small but sharp teeth as their faces dangerously near each other.
Ludmila has fought thousands of battles in her nearly two millennia of life; she had to fight not just enemies on the battlefield but also thousands of men who doubted a woman leader and all sorts of possible hardships.
But nothing she has experienced prepared her for Lucien’s group. And while he undoubtedly seems the most dangerous, the others, especially the Sins, are also very influential and enigmatic.
The small Sin in front of her looks like a child with cute wings, but her expression is genuinely diabolical, and her aura seems to suck all the goodness the elf keeps inside her body.
"I..." Ludmila feels as if an abyssal vortex is in front of her, sucking everything out, even the words from her mouth.
The elf takes a step back, but before Gluttony can follow her, closing their faces again, her expression changes drastically to shock and... pleasure?
"WHAAA?!?!" Gluttony screams with wide eyes and a salivating mouth and tries to dematerialize her body, but she can’t.
Then she looks behind and sees Lucien holding her cute and delicate tail firmly while his hands glow with purple energy, containing her own energy, of course.
"Little devil..." Lucien smiles wickedly at Gluttony as he slowly pulls her by the tail. "You will behave while we are guests of this good lady in her home..."
Gluttony is one of the most stubborn Sins in the group, almost as proud as Pride, but feeling Lucien’s firm grip and his incredibly pleasurable energy containing her body, she panics.
The last thing she wants is to end up looking like a lovesick girl, as Lust and Envy already do, but Lucien’s rough touch is so good that she fears she might start moaning unconsciously.
She also can’t break free from his powerful energy, so there’s only one way out before the situation gets worse.
[I hate you, I hate you, I hate you!!!!] She screams in her mind.
But at the same time, the words that come out of her mouth are quite different.
"Okay, okay, okay!!!" She shouts. "I will behave, I promise!!"
Lucien’s smile widens before he releases her tail, then the little Sin deflates and vanishes like a popped balloon.
"You devil..." Those words come out as a nearly inaudible whisper as Gluttony silently returns inside Naomi.
He then turns his attention to Wrath, who, upon seeing his diabolical smile, quickly puts away her mace and swaps her hostile expression for a fake, gentle, and friendly smile.
"Got it, got it, for real." She raises her hands as she backs away from Lucien.
The other Sins laugh as Pride shakes her head. Nea and Maya manage to contain their laughter while Cecilia and Ludmila are shocked by how Lucien handles the Sins.
"Damn, these are the legendary and diabolical Seven Deadly Sins, the most dangerous demons ever???" Cecilia keeps her thoughts to herself, of course.
Ludmila, on the other hand, doesn’t find the Sins any less dangerous, but instead grows increasingly fearful of Lucien and what he might be capable of.
"What kind of demon is more dangerous than the Sins???" She thinks, looking at his devilishly seductive smile.
"Sorry about that, my good host," Lucien speaks courteously. "How about we start again?"
