Modret's gaze was fixed on the stage as he watched the fight between the two half-humans play out.

The two half-humans on the stage circled each other warily. One was tall and muscular, with patches of gray fur running along his arms and shoulders, while the other was slimmer, his eyes glowing faintly with a pale blue light.

The tall one let out a growl that sounded more beast than human, then lunged forward with terrifying speed.

His claws gleamed as they tore through the icy floor, sending shards flying into the air. The slimmer half-human twisted to the side, barely avoiding the strike, and retaliated with a surge of energy that erupted from his palms.

A translucent wave spread outward, striking his opponent squarely in the chest and throwing him back several meters.

But the moment the taller one landed, he stomped on the ground and leaped back into the fight, roaring with a loud voice that reverberated through the surroundings.

Their blows collided with such force that the air rippled. Each punch left faint trails of devastating energy, and the ground beneath them cracked with every impact. After all, they were already at the Galaxy Realm.

The awakened beasts surrounding the arena let out thunderous cheers, their roars echoing through the icy arena.

Modret narrowed his eyes as he observed the fight closely. Despite their chaotic movements, both fighters displayed remarkable control of their power.

He knew that beasts possessed talents such as enhanced physique and many others, so he wasn't surprised by the brute display and fighting style of the two men in front of him.

'They're not just fighting for survival… they're fighting for that crystal,' Modret thought, his gaze shifting briefly to the yellow gem that pulsed faintly on the pedestal where the bull-like awakened beast and the three others were staying.

Modret's guess was that the winner of the fight between the two men would go on to obtain the treasure, which could then increase their strength.

'Are they training these guys to attack the human race as well?' Modret's mind flickered with countless thoughts.

Meanwhile, back on the battle stage, the slimmer fighter suddenly blurred from sight.

In the next instant, he appeared behind his opponent and slammed his hand into the creature's back, releasing a violent burst of blue energy that sent the larger half-human crashing into the icy floor with a loud bang.

The bull-like beast overseeing the battle gave a guttural snort, its golden eyes gleaming with amusement.

The watching beasts grew louder, their chants echoing like thunder and resounding faintly in the pyramid.

The larger fighter rose again, with blood dripping from his mouth.

His breathing had become heavy, and his movements had become slower, but his eyes—those beastly, red-tinted eyes—were filled with rage.

He roared, and his body began to change.

His muscles expanded, then his bones cracked, and his fur thickened as steam rose from his skin. A violent aura burst out of him, shaking the ground.

'He's forcing a transformation,' Modret realized instantly. 'That's dangerous… if he loses control, he might die on the spot.'

Modret had already read about this back at the Axarel Manor and knew that beasts possessed a state called 'Berserk.'

Once they activated this state, any slight mistake could cost them their lives. This was the reason why awakened beasts were very cautious and wouldn't use this move unless it was their last resort and they were forced to the brink of death.

It was also the reason why Modret had decided not to attack the four high-level beasts.

After all, if their strength was already far above his own, then what of when they activated their Berserk mode?

Wouldn't he be easily killed off without having the chance to react?

The slimmer one hesitated for a split second, uncertainty flashing across his face as he contemplated whether to go berserk as well, but it was already too late.

The transformed half-human moved like a blur, slamming his opponent into the ground with one massive strike.

The impact sent a shockwave across the arena, toppling several nearby beasts off balance.

When the dust cleared, the slimmer fighter lay sprawled, blood staining the icy floor. The larger one stood above him, panting heavily, his claws trembling from overexertion.

The bull-like beast raised its hand, and the arena fell silent.

A low, rumbling voice echoed through the chamber. "Winner… number 17."

The crowd erupted once more, their roars shaking the air.

After that, the Berserk state deactivated, and the beast collapsed weakly to the floor under the thunderous shouts of the awakened beasts.

Only after a short while did he stand up, staggering as he approached the location of the bull-like awakened beast.

The moment he reached the bull-like awakened beast, he bowed down and stretched forth his hand.

The bull-like awakened beast snorted and then tossed the treasure in his hand to him. He caught it and then bowed once more before turning around and walking back toward a cage-like section where all the other prisoners were.

Modret watched silently, his eyes narrowing.

'They're making them fight for survival and strength… like toys in a cruel game.'

Modret didn't like the sound of that; however, he didn't plan to play the hero.

'Nevertheless, they might be my only chance of getting all the treasures for myself…'

Many thoughts flickered in Modret's mind, and a plan began forming…

An evil smile appeared on Modret's face, and he watched as the prison rumbled once more before two creatures stepped out from the cell.

This time it was a sexy half-beast girl and another lady that had a fox tail.

Modret felt the blood rush up his body, and it took him some time to struggle to keep himself calm.

Letting out a sigh, he turned around and began walking out of the pyramid.

The plan in his mind had a few steps to it, and he was ready to execute the first part.

After leaving the place for a short while… surprisingly, something happened.
