Instead, Coach Udoka was waiting with folded arms and a sheet of paper.

Kyle's heart thudded.

"You cutting me?"

Ime shook his head.

"You're going to Maine. G-League stint. You're gonna get real minutes, real touches—and real expectations."

Kyle clenched his jaw.

"Am I being demoted?"

"You're being challenged."

Ari's Reaction – Tough LoveLater that evening, Kyle and Ari sat on the balcony of his Boston apartment, suitcase by the door.

Kyle grinned.

"They let me off the leash."

"You send a wolf to the woods—he either starves or becomes the apex."

Ime nodded slowly.

"Time to bring the Reaper home."

Back in Boston – The CallAfter Game 6 (averaging 23.6 PPG, 7.8 REB, 4 AST, 2 STL, 1.5 BLK), Kyle received the call.

"You're heading back."

"To Boston?"

"Yup. Starting with rotation minutes next week."

Kyle looked at himself in the mirror of the locker room.

Gone was the unsure rookie.

In his place?

A full-grown threat.

Ari Meets Him at the AirportKyle stepped off the team van and into the parking lot of the Boston facility.

Ari was waiting, sunglasses on, hoodie up.

She ran and wrapped him in a hug.

"So… how was hell?"

"More like home. Just… hotter."

"You ready for the league now?"

He smiled.

"Nah. The league better be ready for me."

Final Scene – TD Garden ReturnBefore tip-off, the announcers introduced the roster.

"And returning from his G-League tear—standing at 6'8"—the Reaper… Kyle Wilson!"

The crowd roared louder than ever before.

Ime leaned over.

"We're putting you on Ja tonight. Let's see what you learned."

Kyle cracked his neck.

"Perfect."
