North America Gunman Detective

Chapter 643: 416 old acquaintance_3

Jimmy shook his head, "I came alone."

Mario walked to the window, looked outside, then opened the door and checked the hallway, "What do you know?"

Jimmy: "That's for you to say. I can get information from Penili; you should know where I stand. I'm not interested in you."

Jimmy was very patient and friendly because according to surveillance, Mario's car had fled ahead, while Jimmy's car was shot. Ballistic analysis suggested that the shooter was in the second car. However, due to the angle of the surveillance, the person in the second car wasn't visible, and even now the car couldn't be found. The license plate was fake, and on that day, the car corresponding to the license plate was in a different location.

Since his car was shot and it wasn't Mario's doing, Jimmy no longer had any interest in him.

Mario was quite straightforward too. As a subordinate, since the boss had given him the information, it was better to just speak up. He had been through the initiation ceremony and was a full-fledged member, not just temporary gang labor; he trusted the boss very much.

"Five nights ago, I was resting at home when two people sneaked up to my house under cover of darkness. I discovered them, fired my gun, and then I escaped."

Jimmy: "Who were they?"

Mario: "I'm not sure. I've been attacked three times these few days: five nights ago, three nights ago, and also yesterday afternoon."

Jimmy: "Have you been staying here these two days?"

Mario: "No, I only arrived last night, and I'll be leaving soon."

Jimmy: "Think again, do you have any clues as to who they might be?"

Mario: "I really don't know, I can't think of anyone I've offended."

Jimmy: "Have you done anything recently?"

Mario shook his head, "I can't say."

"Knock knock knock," the door sounded, "NYPD, please open up."

Karen came out of the bedroom to answer the door, which was opened just a crack, "What's the matter?"

"Karen Cole? We're looking for Mario Cole," they said.

Karen: "You've got the wrong place; I'm already divorced from Mario."

"Then have you been in contact with Cole recently?"

Karen: "No. You can look for him elsewhere; he's not here." With that, Karen firmly shut the door.

The police outside didn't know whether they had found Mario's personal connections on their own or if Nia had told them, but it didn't matter to Jimmy.

Seeing that the police had left, Jimmy looked at Mario and said, "Looks like this place has been compromised as well. Mario, you better think hard and tell me, who exactly are they?"

Mario looked at the door and said, "Azte's people, or people related to them."

Jimmy couldn't help but smile at the familiar name: "Why?"

Mario, looking at Jimmy: "I found one of their warehouses."

Jimmy: "Did you do something to the warehouse?"

Mario nodded, and Jimmy understood. The kind of people who would shoot in the streets, if linked to Azte's group used to working along the borders, weren't too surprising.

Jimmy: "What did you discover, what did you take?"

Mario shook his head: "I can't tell. But I can give you the location."

Jimmy nodded, took out a pen and paper from his pocket, handed them to Mario, "Tell me what you can, then get out of here as soon as you can. You wouldn't want them going after Karen."

Mario took the pen and paper, wrote down a warehouse address and unit number, and handed it back to Jimmy. Jimmy carefully put the pen and paper back into his pocket, conveniently collecting his fingerprints as well.

Jimmy got up to leave, and Mario had a brief chat with Karen, grabbed his stuff, and left her home.
