Journey of the Fate Destroying Emperor

Chapter 1610: The Main Event Starts

Chapter 1610: The Main Event Starts

Just as Wang Wei was about to leave, a space tear materialized, followed by an aura of intense rage. Song Jiang appeared while looking at the Grand Preceptor as if the old man were the vilest thing between Heaven and Earth. Everybody paused briefly before Wang Wei suddenly reacted. He activated the continent’s array to block the entire domain, preventing anything from coming or leaving.

Li Ming and Wang Chong glanced at each other from the corner of their eyes before instantly reacting. Li Ming clashed directly with Bai Qi while Wang Chong headed for the Terracotta General. Wang Wei followed and teamed up with Wang Chong. Song Jiang did not know what was going on, but that did not stop him from attacking the Grand Preceptor.

Wang Wei focused on supporting. He would move around the puppet and release his Soul Attack at key moments to disrupt the latter. By using the continent’s false constructs, he increased his connection to the real thing, allowing him to use 6-tier Grand Skills. However, his greatest contribution was not his fighting prowess but the battle of ChronoSpirit.

With the two working together, it was only a matter of time before this puppet was history. Bai Qi knew this quite well, so he no longer hesitated and summoned the Great Wall. This artifact is special for several reasons. Firstly, it inherited the spirit of the Great Wall from the Prehistoric World. When Ying Zheng was reincarnated, Hongjun gave him a few gifts, and the spirit of the wall was one of them, along with the spirits of many loyal Qin officers.

Before his second reincarnation, Ying Zheng had the wall absorb all the luck of the Qin Dynasty in the Upper Zone World. The wall was further nourished by the process of reincarnation, making it a unique artifact by any standards. Unfortunately, all of this meant nothing since Wang Wei had blocked this domain, temporarily stopping the wall’s descent.

A gargantuan palm with the power of origin descended from the sky above Qin’s capital. The wall’s spirit immediately abandoned the summon and returned to its eternal duty of protecting the dynasty. Everything will be fine as long as Qin still stands. Bai Qi’s indifferent expression became colder.

The Terracotta General will not last long. Unlike Lie Peiqi, it was not a true Primal in the first place. It was designed to be at its most powerful when guarding Qin and using the power of the Great Wall. But now, it was far away from its source of power and isolated from Qin. The general’s fate was already written in the walls.

Bai Qi was a decisive man. It’s one of his characteristics that allowed him to go on expeditions for Qin in three lifetimes, killing all enemies in his path. Before this war, his majesty gave him a last resort in case things went awry: a talisman created from the power of the Butterfly Jade Pendant. It was supposed to be used in case Maitreya woke up early and decided not to deal with the situation peacefully, but now, he had no choice but to retreat.

As a light enveloped him and the others, Li Ming acted. He used one of his unique skills: Duplicate. Every Heaven Chosen will, at one point, use the tactics of using their opponent’s technique to deal a mental blow. [Duplicate] started as such, but later, Li Ming used it to increase his fighting skills. However, the most excellent use of this skill was not to copy others, but to copy the people closest to him.

At the Primal Level, all skills are unique, and without the right Dao or enough knowledge to make up for the gap, it’s impossible to copy them hundred percent — unless the person gives you permission or access. Qiyuan, Yan Hai, and even Wang Chong had no issue giving him access.

Li Ming used [Duplicate] to summon Yan Hai’s recently created attack: Heaven and Earth Sword. He did not think he could kill his target, but it was enough to disrupt their ability to teleport. Battle Maniac ensured to target the Terracotta General to ensure success.

The sound of the void breaking spread everywhere before revealing a puppet with numerous wounds. Li Ming, Wang Chong, Wang Wei, and Song Jiang all attacked together. In less than ten seconds, the puppet was sealed. In five minutes or less, they found his Time Mark.

"Who wants to do the honor?" Wang Wei asked. Li Ming did not hesitate to shake his head as he wiped the blood from his nose. He did not expect the backlash for using Yan Hai’s sword would be so terrible. Wang Chong opened his mouth, but was cut off.

"I’ll do it," Song Jiang said with an almost tangible hatred oozing out of his eyes. No one rejected, so Song Jiang entered the River of Time to finish things off. With the Time Mark, he erased the Terracotta General from the timestream without any consequences.

"Brother Qiyuan is waiting for you," Li Ming said.

"Is something the matter?"

"You could say that, but we can wait until this is over."

Wang Wei frowned. He was not paying much attention to other fights. He sensed the aura of that weird rage monster, but he was too occupied with the Black Order Assassin Saint to know what had happened to Yan Hai.

"I’ll immediately see him once Hong’er returns."

"That’s fine."

The others left, and Wang Wei looked in the distance. The battle between the Tribal Sacred Mountain and the Demon God Cave was intense, with the latter suffering immense casualties. However, the struggle of Primals was relatively equal, with the demon race having the advantage.

Grand Sect Alliance:

Dugu Baitian opened his eyes with a deep frown. Even the best pill he could buy with all the merit available to him was not enough to completely heal the injury to his [Existence]. However, none of that was as important as the current state of the alliance. The Earth Sword God was sealed, and Gentle Soil was eradicated by a higher existence hierarchy, meaning she was truly dead. And that’s not mentioning how the other Primals should be in a similar situation to him — if not worse.

He glanced in the distance, observing the alliance’s luck. A sneer flashed on his face. ’I haven’t been injured for more than 10 minutes, and you people are already planning on how to take power.’ He activated a communication, and a charming voice soon rang in his ears.

"Chancellor, shouldn’t you be licking your wound? Why are you contacting me of all people? Did you miss our wild and passionate night?"

"I don’t have time for your nonsense."

"Then, what do you have time for?" The Heavenly Serpent Empress mused.

"I need you to do something for me."

"You — of all people — need something from me? This should be interesting."

"I need you to attack the alliance," Dugu Baitian calmly said. "You can kill and plunder as much as you want, and I promised I won’t stop you. I’m even willing to sign a binding oath not to retaliate."

"...Hahahaha," Lu Chuntao exhaled. "I want to say I’m surprised, but I’m not."

"Are you going to do it, or not?"

"Why not? Send me the contract and I’ll immediately get started."

Dugu Baitian sent an agreement, and after modifying the terms for a few seconds, they both soon reached a deal. Lu Chuntao invaded the Grand Sect Alliance. Usually, she wouldn’t even get through the outer area of the alliance’s territory, let alone reach the core area. However, she broke through their array in less than 30 attacks.

Then, she started killing and plundering. She didn’t waste time fighting the Peak Paragons and killed the weaker cultivators while taking resources. The Heavenly Serpent Empress was at least a C-Class Primal with numerous ultimate skills, so no one could catch her.

As expected, after a few minutes of rampant destruction, numerous people stood in front of Dugu Baitian and the other primals’ healing room. However, no one replied to these people’s pleas. It seemed the message was not clear enough.

Emperor Enlightening Academy:

Lin Fan, Nine Death, Xu Shi, and the newly crowned Paragon, Bai Hai, took charge of the aftermath. They needed to rebuild and reassure everybody. Once the work was done, they landed outside of Kong’s headquarters.

"Shi’er. I —"

"No need to say anything," Xu Shi sighed. "No one can escape their fate."

"Maybe," Lin Fan muttered.

"Let’s check on father."

The group entered, and the first sight that greeted them was Emperor Kong floating cross-legged in the sky. His hand released a light that he used to draw a bunch of squiggly lines in the void. However, midway through assembling this weird painting, it collapsed. Kong started again without pause. The group looked at each other as they recognized the process of [Existence Reconstruction].

"Father, we need you to take charge of the situation."

Kong did not answer and continued his work.

"Headmaster, you cannot give in to the grief," Nine Death said, his voice cold, yet reassuring.

No answer.

"Master," Xu Shi said slowly. "I —"

"You don’t have to say anything," Kong finally said. "The unfortunate truth of the cultivation world has always been that the weak have no rights — including how they die. If I weren’t weak, none of this would have happened."

Kong slowly landed on the ground, his expression bland and unreadable. He glanced at Lin Fan.

"Master, I’m sorry. I —"

"There is no need for you to apologize. You not only save me, but everything I’ve worked my entire life to achieve."

"But you saw what I did to the world."

"None of that matters," Kong said calmly as he looked in the distance. "All that matters is we have an irreconcilable enemy, and luckily, destiny is on our side for this conflict." A hint of rage mixed with unwavering determination flashed in his eyes.

"Let’s go," Kong said as he looked at the team. The academy needed a boost in morale, and he was the only one who could truly guarantee it.

...

Wu Hong calmly looked at Ying Zheng. She did not expect this bastard to pick her, of all people, as his target. "Today will be the greatest mistake of your life."

Ying Zheng sneered. "Others might find your confidence endearing, but I do not. You will fall just like all my enemies."
