Nine Star Hegemon Body Art

Chapter 6576 Barging into Jiuli City

Chapter 6576 Barging into Jiuli City

“Truly?”

The sweeping elder was surprised to hear that.

While Long Chen was recovering, he had been silently observing. The flaws in Long Chen’s nirvanic rebirth were obvious to him. They were simply imperfections, not true defects. After all, Long Chen had still formed complete essence runes. This wouldn’t stop him from becoming a Sovereign Lord.

But because Long Chen had been forced out of seclusion early, the process had left tiny imperfections. The sweeping elder had run through countless simulations in his mind on how to fix them—some requiring the sacrifice of his own core energy. However, he couldn’t find a way.

And when it came to Long Chen’s astral manifestation, he was even more helpless. Long Chen had gone down a path that no longer belonged to the original Nine Star Hegemon Body Art. Even the sweeping elder couldn’t touch that.

Hence, for Long Chen to say he had found a way to fix these imperfections was a delightful surprise to the sweeping elder.

The sweeping elder pondered for a long moment, then nodded. “Very well. Do as you’ve planned. Leave everything else to me.”

Hearing the sweeping elder’s support, Long Chen was overjoyed. Thanks to his guidance, while he was recovering his astral energy, he had replayed everything that happened in the heaven region’s battlefield. He had felt all along that he was overlooking something crucial—and now he had found it.

“Will you begin immediately?” the sweeping elder asked.

“No. There is something I must do first,” Long Chen replied, a cold killing intent flickering in his eyes.

...

The void split open, and Long Chen appeared all alone. Four sprawling mountain ranges gathered in this location, looking like four dragons facing a pearl.

The pearl itself was a majestic city. This was Jiuli City, the shared center of the Long, Ye, Zhao, and Jiang clans.

The dragon veins belonged to the four clans individually, but the central city was shared by the four clans. Only those who had reached a sufficient level of strength were allowed to enter.

The moment Long Chen appeared in front of the Jiuli City, an ear-splitting alarm rang throughout the entire city.

WUOHH—!

“Do you really not need me to accompany you?” The sweeping elder’s voice rang out in his mind.

Long Chen had asked only to be sent here. He intended to settle a personal matter.

“Not for now. I’ll give them one chance—one chance before I erase the divine clans from this world.” Long Chen replied as he shook his head.

As he walked toward the gates, hundreds of the divine clans’ experts immediately blocked his path with their weapons.

“This place is Jiuli city! Y-you are not permitted to enter!” one of them shouted, his voice quivering with fear.

These experts were all nervous. Although there were several Sovereign Lords, they recognized who was in front of them.

BOOM!

Just like that, those experts and the gates behind them were sent tumbling into the city.

“It’s Long Chen! Alert Patriarch Boran!”

One terrifying aura after another rose. The moment they saw Long Chen, chills ran down their spine.

“This unlucky star has returned...”

They didn’t differentiate between Long Chen and his heart-devil. All they knew was that Long Chen had personally destroyed the Brahma holy land, and if it weren’t for Patriarch Boran’s interference, one of the eight divine commanders would have died.

Long Chen extended his hand, pulling one of the flying experts back toward him

This person was one of the divine clan’s heavenly geniuses—the fortunate survivor of the heaven region’s battlefield. Even as a newly advanced Sovereign Lord, he trembled violently in Long Chen’s grip, unable to muster even the courage to resist.

Long Chen grabbed his neck and demanded, “I’m not here to kill people. Tell me, where is Long Tianrui’s residence?”

The moment Long Chen obtained the information he wanted, he tossed that person aside. The latter smashed into a pavilion and passed out.

With a flash, Long Chen passed through the city and arrived at the rear mountain. Countless experts of the divine clans were here, but not a single person dared to get in Long Chen’s way.

He stood in front of a sheer cliff with an immortal cave. According to the fortunate survivor, this was Long Tianrui’s residence.

This was an immortal cave of the highest level—a giant spirit-gathering formation connected to the Jiuli City’s grand formation. It was reserved for the greatest of heavenly geniuses.

Seeing this immortal cave, Long Chen suddenly felt a pang in his heart. Long Tianrui had passed, but her immortal cave was still vacant. Thinking of how Long Tianrui had turned to dust in his hands, Long Chen felt like a million needles were stabbing his heart.

Suddenly, the cave’s doors burst open.

A frail woman was kicked out, two heavy chests tumbling with her.

She hadn’t even hit the ground before a palm-image struck her from behind. She and the chests rolled over the ground.

“That bitch Long Tianrui is already dead. Why don’t you just die with her? Are you planning on burning her relics for her?” A woman’s voice rang out from inside.

Following that, four women came out of the immortal cave, sneering at that frail-looking woman.

None of them noticed Long Chen standing above them, his gaze like winter steel.

Perhaps it was because Long Tianrui was already dead, but the alarm didn’t ring out in her immortal cave. As a result, these women were unaware of what was happening outside.

That frail-looking woman slowly climbed up. As if she couldn’t hear their words, she kept her head down and walked toward those two chests. Her tears dripped onto the ground, but she didn’t make a sound. Nothing else was important to her other than those two chests.

“Now that Long Tianrui is dead, you no longer have any support. Just patiently wait for your death!” one of the four women sneered.

This woman’s face was marred with burn scars—Moon Flame scars. Long Chen recognized them instantly. She had been part of the battle that killed Tianrui.

“I don’t know when she’ll die,” Long Chen said coldly, “but you will be dead right now.”

“Long Chen—!” The scarred woman shrieked as she finally sensed him.

Her eyes almost popped out of their sockets. It was as if she was seeing a ghost.

Just as she tried to flee, Long Chen raised his hand. All four women lifted helplessly into the air, and black flames devoured them.

“AHH!” All four of them shrieked.

“Yan Xu Flame...”

The others quickly recognized the origin of the flames.

“Long Chen, don’t go too far!” an elder shouted at last, unable to bear it anymore.

It was precisely the Long clan leader.

“Say another word and you will be next!” exclaimed Long Chen.

“You...”

The Long clan leader was outraged, but seeing Long Chen’s icy gaze, he didn’t dare to say another word.

“Long Chen, you came to my Jiuli City alone? I have to admire your courage.”

Ye Boran’s figure slowly appeared, with his hands clasping behind his back. He stared at Long Chen coldly.
