Chapter 749: Mistakes of a Scared Dark Elf

Chapter 749: Mistakes of a Scared Dark Elf

If Lucien’s sudden appearance and his looks were enough to leave thousands of Dark Elves bewildered, the scene of him protecting Svetlana from Artem’s attacks makes the whole situation even more absurd.

When the mysterious Handsome Devil emerged between the leaders of the elven armies, soldiers from both sides had the same uneasy feeling; they couldn’t help but expect the worst.

And such a first impression is unavoidable, after all, Demons are generally considered the most dangerous of the superior races due to their unpredictability.

The Dragons are clearly more concerned with internal affairs, while the Gods are attempting to enslave everyone, so their methods are always the same.

But what about the Demons? All these elves can think is that such creatures will always try to deceive and seduce their victims.

This is exactly the thought of many of these elves seeing Lucien embracing Svetlana.

The green soldiers fear for her safety, while the blue ones want to see her fall.

On the other hand, many of these people are also confused about Lucien’s actions, and especially the gree army, upset with Artem for not holding back his attack while the young elf was in the line of fire.

Either way, everyone is at a loss, even Artem, who can see the disapproval in the eyes of his soldiers and simply can’t bring himself to attack Lucien again.

And of course, after seeing one of his most powerful attacks do no damage to Lucien’s wings, the reckless elf is hesitant.

But a quick idea comes to his mind, and in a swift movement, Artem points to Lucien and looks at his nearest soldiers. "What are you waiting for?? This devil is attacking your leader!!"

Artem’s shout echoes across the battlefield, shattering the bizarre silence that is replaced by a buzz of murmurs and questions.

"What??"

"Really???"

"Is he hurting Lady Svetlana???"

"Or worse... taking advantage of her???"

The green soldiers panic while the blue ones just watch the whole scene.

But no one moves a muscle to do anything; attacking Lucien seems like madness even to the elves in the late stages of the Immortal Realm.

Svetlana, so immersed in the new sensations that Lucien stirred in her body, takes a few seconds to register Artem’s shouts.

"What the hell??" She stands up and casts an annoyed look at Artem. "No, he hasn’t harmed me, unlike you who tried to kill me!!"

"Kill you?" The elf asks sarcastically but can’t hide the regret in his voice. "Damn, no, of course not! I was trying to save you from him... that..."

"Devil," Lust comments with a cheeky smile. "Your Devil, in fact, and you should start respecting him, or..."

Lust’s words are extremely arrogant and discomfort all the Dark Elves present, but Artem feels especially offended as a high-ranking officer and a proud man.

"Or what???" He looks at Lust with a hostile expression and starts to lift his bow.

Lust maintains a confident posture and shoots a quick glance at Lucien, clearly making a scene.

Lucien isn’t upset with Lust; he understands she wants him to demonstrate strength as it seems the easiest way to make the Dark Elves stop fighting among themselves and listen to him, or unite against him.

In fact, he’s still trying to think of a plan, but he can’t stand to see someone threatening his Queen, of course.

Yet, he tries not to act as impulsively as in the past and gives Artem another chance to calm down.

"It would be better if you didn’t do that," Lucien says to the elf, but his tone remains so dominant and arrogant, further wounding the proud elf’s ego.

Artem, not wanting to lose face in front of all his soldiers, starts forming a magic arrow in his bow.

"Really..." Lucien tries to speak more amiably. "We are not your enemi-"

Before he can finish speaking, Artem completes the arrow and attempts to shoot it at Lust, certain that she isn’t expecting it.

*Whoosh!*

But Lucien reacts faster and covers the distance between them in less than a second.

He quickly grabs the bow from Artem’s hand and before the energy dissipates, he easily breaks the bow with his bare hands.

As a soul weapon of someone in the Immortal Realm, the bow is very resistant, but Lucien’s current strength with so much energy from his wives is devastating.

He breaks the magical bow as if it were a dry twig, causing significant internal damage to Artem.

"AH!!" The elf tries to suppress his groan of pain and quickly jumps back while summoning his bow again.

Remaking a Soul Weapon after it’s been broken consumes a lot of soul energy, but Artem quickly summons his bow again.

He tries to create another arrow, but Lucien once again reaches him swiftly and breaks the bow yet again.

*CRACK*

*CRACK*

*CRACK*

Artem remakes his bow only for Lucien to break it three more times before the elf runs out of energy and suffers an internal collapse.

"ARGHHH-" The reckless elf almost falls to the ground while breathing heavily.

Lucien is frustrated with the situation because he wishes to be an ally, not an enemy of the Dark Elves, but since Artem is making things difficult, he has to set an example for the others.

"You filthy demon-" Artem tries to insult Lucien, but a red whip emerges out of nowhere and wraps around his wrist.

"WHA-" Before he can understand what’s happening, Lust pulls the whip, tightening around Artem’s arm so forcefully that it crushes his bones.

"AHHHH!!!" The elf screams in pain and despair.

While Lust enjoys creating such scenes, she stops torturing the elf before tearing what’s left of his arms from his body.

Lucien smiles at her but then his expression becomes serious as he looks at Artem, screaming in pain on the ground.

He sighs before turning his gaze to the other Dark Elves, most of whom are increasingly fearful of him.

"I’ll repeat," Lucien pauses and speaks slowly, without restraining the power in his voice. "I am not your enemy."

All the elves listen intently to his words. "I came here with good intentions, but if you insist on attacking me..."

Lucien pauses again, his eyes beginning to glow purple and gold while his aura becomes even more dominant and arrogant.

The pressure generated by his energy is so powerful that it causes thousands of elven soldiers around him to struggle even to breathe.

A murderous gleam appears in Lucien’s eyes as he speaks. "I will start to kill... and kill... until no one..."

The elves around gather all their remaining determination and start to step back while trembling in fear.

Despite being just one person, along with Lust, naturally, he seems too intimidating for those Dark Elves.

But as quickly as his murderous aura appeared, he controls it and soon returns to having a charming, trustworthy smile on his face.

"But of course, you don’t want that, right?" He asks in a casual tone.

Then he casts an even more friendly look at Svetlana and especially Ludmila. "I’m sure we can get along very well..."

Svetlana almost nods instinctively, but she still tries to contain her clear excitement.

Meanwhile, Ludmila keeps her soldiers at the ready and her guard up, as she has no idea what to expect from Lucien.
