Chapter 4625: The Four Hosts
Liam Moonsmile was clad in a white robe embroidered with the symbolism of the moon. As he appeared, there was a huge manifestation of a moon behind him, but engraved on that moon was a smiling face that may very well resemble himself. He radiated the mannerisms of a Saint as he had his hands cupped with a light smile on his face, but his aura stemming from light energy was anything but a Saint’s.
However, even that aura seemed restricted a bit as he forced a smile.
"Divine Emperor of Death, it has been a while." He said, wanting to add that it has been a while since he robbed them in daylight, but he didn’t dare.
Davis nodded lightly as his gaze shifted to the other figures among the four host powers that stepped forward.
From the phoenix delegation, a woman alighted gently, her steps leaving traces of prismatic flames that shimmered across the cold floor yet did not melt it.
Her name was Selira Skytune. He had heard rumors about her before, one of the strongest amidst the younger generation, standing along with the likes of Rath Heavenshade.
Her hair was like woven silk of seven hues, cascading behind her like a living rainbow, while her eyes blazed with serenity and superiority both. Her expression was calm, almost aloof, as though the very world beneath her was fortunate simply to be graced by her presence. The moment she appeared, it was as if the seven-colored phoenix song resonated faintly in everyone’s heart, urging reverence.
From the opposite end, a rumbling presence pressed upon the crowd. The ground quaked slightly even though no step truly landed. Rhazor Tigerius walked forward, his broad shoulders radiating predatory dominance. His golden mane-like hair glistened under the crystalline light, and behind him loomed the phantom of a huge tiger with sacred stripes etched in starlight.
His aura was heavy and commanding, yet there was also a vague serenity about him that let people know he was confident of his chances of surviving this encounter.
Yet even his overwhelming entrance did not stifle the next.
A fragrant breeze rolled in, laced with saffron sweetness and soft rain, dispersing the tension for but a moment.
Ylleria Mistral emerged, her exquisite face veiled in safafron and white robes that danced lightly as if carried by unseen winds. Her beauty was refined and elegant, yet what lay behind her eyes was not gentleness but a blade honed to perfection. The fragrance around her softened the atmosphere, but the subtle sharpness in her smile reminded everyone present that she was as dangerous as she was alluring.
The illusory mist curling around her feet resembled serpents bowing before her, ready to strike at her command.
The moment these four stood at the forefront, the marketplace seemed to regain its structure even though they had just scattered moments ago. It could be seen that the supreme geniuses placed some faith in their conduct and bearing as well as their ability to maintain the gathering with authority and security.
Davis’s lips couldn’t help but curl.
Because they had their auras suppressed, the other party appeared grander than them. He could only imagine how they would react if they were to release their auras, especially Shirley’s and Isabella’s, whose auras were not only extremely powerful but also made them appear even more beautiful in the eyes of anyone who witnessed their luster.
"I’m here to shop."
Davis wished to take advantage, but he had no wish to wreck this gathering since he wanted to browse and see if there was anything interesting to be found, so he ignored the bold-standing of the hosts as though they could do something about him. Only Liam Moonsmile appeared to know his place as he greeted him, so he replied in passing.
’As long as your ’shopping’ isn’t written as ’shoplifting’... everything’s good...’ Liam Moonsmile inwardly lampooned before nodding.
"These events have been held by us on numerous occasions in the past, and we have been able to successfully sell items and facilitate transactions between two or more parties without any problems. We will be here to entertain the wishes of our guests and help widen all our horizons. If you do need anything, please let us know."
"Alright..."
"Liam, aren’t you ashamed of yourself?" Rhazor Tigerius spoke at this moment, his tone dominant.
Liam’s expression churned, wishing that Thiago Tigerius, who had experienced the threat of the Divine Emperor of Death, was here instead. But on second thought, he knew Thiago Tigerius was more arrogant, so he couldn’t help but lament.
Fortunately, the Divine Emperor of Death ignored them and walked past them.
Isabella and Shirley walked by their side when Isabella abruptly released her killing intent on them, causing them to jump and spread out as they quickly gained some distance. However, they realized that they had been had, causing their expressions to churn with rage and difficulty as they realized something.
Isabella was just as strong as Shirley or even more. They didn’t even know how strong Shirley was since she never truly revealed her might, and they didn’t dare probe her too much since they knew the Divine Emperor of Death wouldn’t sit still if he were to come one day.
Regardless, as hosts, they needed to keep their calm since the other party hadn’t attacked them.
"Don’t speak casually with my Emperor~ Pay respect or look away."
Isabella warned them with a dangerous smile and continued following.
She appeared to have been corrupted by the scene of him seated on the throne and dictating the lives of the supreme geniuses.
Davis’s expression was subtle, but he inwardly nodded to Isabella’s choice of words. Sometimes, he really felt as though he was too merciful. Even a normal cultivator wouldn’t let someone walk all over them, so why should he allow other geniuses to ask or demand that he prove that he was not evil?
Nonetheless, he didn’t care for the most part, as he felt like an elder before these youngsters after having completely left them in the dust.
His gaze panned around, trying to look for resources and also information.
Quickly, he spotted Filang Bach, who had set up a shop to sell his wares. He beckoned him over and asked for information about the overall situation and the quality of the items sold, the market price of the items, and various information regarding inheritance legacies and other interesting rumors.
Filang Bach was more than happy to explain since he worked under the Divine Emperor of Death and received an extreme number of resources to sell and make a lot of wealth.
The best thing about hunting these villains was not the rewards from the Divine Emperor of Death but the loot in their spatial rings and life rings. The Divine Emperor of Death made it clear that he only wanted them captured alive while he didn’t care for the rings, so they had more or less hugely profited.
Even in a team of a hundred, even the one who contributed the least managed to earn around three or four High-Level Empyrean Grade resources. These resources would allow them to reign as rulers within the Lower Realms and even make them a supreme genius in the Autarch Stage easily, allowing their status to never fall.
When they become Primarchs, they might directly become the favored Patriarch Candidate.
Davis and the others listened to Filang Bach for a while before Davis moved to a corner.
He set up a stall with a wave of his hand. It was a prebuilt construct Sophie made precisely for these kinds of events, inlaid with defensive mechanisms.
Under the gazes of everyone present, he took out and placed three Primarch Grade resources at the forefront and made a few words appear on the signboard.
[Exchanging Primarch Grade resources for Primarch Grade Advanced Pill Recipes of your power or even inheritance legacies.]
"..." The expressions of the onlookers couldn’t be any more dazzling.
