“This is the last defence. All combatants, go to the Blasted Lands and clear out anyone that isn’t from our guild!” Wandering typed on the guild channel.

The guild erupted into action.

Most of the players were zealous for their guild, especially when something like this occurred. As such, the Blasted Lands instantly became the most densely distributed area for Ruling Sword players, who were setting up a perimeter.

The monsters here were all level 60 or close to level 60. Under normal circumstances, they would struggle to fight them.

However, the day of reckoning had come for these monsters. The only exceptions were the Boss areas, but all other monsters were instantly killed and had no chance to retaliate.

At the forefront of these thousands of players, there was a Paladin called Glamorized Pacer.

“Haha, they are running away so quickly. If they run any slower, they probably won’t get away. Square Root 3 is with them, but if anyone kills the Ruling Sword president, this will be a major event,” he declared confidently.

These were the guild members that Square Root 3 was talking about. There were about 4000 of them and they had split into four groups to force Square Root 3’s small team back to the Storm Altar.

“Square Root 3 is nothing. All that matters if that we kill Lu Li,” another person responded.

Several of them were presidents of medium sized guilds. This group had been formed to avenge the dozens of casual players who were just exploring the area.

They had all brought the Elite members of their respective guilds. They heard that Ruling Sword only had 400 players in the Blasted Lands, so they felt confident. Both brought their elite groups, but they had ten times the numbers, so it wouldn’t matter what kind of strategy was used.

“I heard that the Boss is about to die. I will be taking priority when it comes to the items.”

Pacer was quite powerful, and he was leading 1000 of the 4000 players.

“You can have the Boss drops, but that means you will have to leave the drops from Ruling Sword to us.”

There were two players speaking in this four-person chat room. They were all presidents and the one currently speaking was called Forgotten Dreams. The other player that hadn’t said much was called Hyacinth.

“That’s enough. Quickly advance and deal with them before Ruling Sword reinforcements arrive,” Hyacinth unexpectedly spoke up.

“Aren’t we running towards them right now?” Steamed Mutton asked coldly.

In his opinion, Hyacinth was the weakest. He had no particular abilities and didn’t know how to lead, but everyone else seemed to insist on giving him responsibilities. All three of them needed to follow his orders.

“Hey, the Ruling Sword players are doing something,” Hyacinth said as he took a breath.

“What should we do?” Forgotten Dreams quickly asked. Although they knew that Glory Capital was backing them, it was still scary to provoke a major guild like Ruling Sword.

“Thousands of players have just arrived in the Blasted lands,” Hyacinth sighed.

He didn’t expect Ruling Sword to act like a hornet’s nest. Now that they had disturbed them, tens of thousands of players were streaming in.

“What do we do? What are they saying? Will they send support?”

Pacer’s expression had changed as well.

“Probably not,” Hyacinth answered unsurely, but quickly added, “They will not be participating in this matter, otherwise, things will spiral out of control.”

“Tsk, those other guys really are something,” Pacer said angrily.

From his perspective, Ruling Sword had tens of thousands of players while Glory Capital had hundreds of thousands. They could easily crush Ruling Sword, so why were they so scared? Glory Capital had become more and more powerful over the years, but they had also become more conservative.

There were other people who were also making the same criticisms.

Even Hyacinth was no exception, but someone had explained it to him quite comprehensively in private.

Glory Capital was no longer just a guild. They were the largest guild in China, and Sorrowless’ impact could be felt in real life and in game. As such, they couldn’t be as reckless as they once were.

Sorrowless’ current vision was to become the biggest guild in the world, not just in China. These greater ambitions required a broader view of the overall situation. However, they hadn’t expected things to go so wrong within their own backyard with old guilds like Drizzle Court and Blood Red War Flag rising up against them, along with the rise of Ruling Sword.

He wanted to make use of the overall strength of China, so he needed to avoid large-scale internal conflict as much as possible.

Ruling Sword alone was nothing to fear, but when you added in Drizzle Court, Peerless City and Drizzle Court’s subordinate guilds, they were a much more substantial force. Perhaps another major guild who didn’t mind fighting Glory Capital like Blood Red War Flag would even join. Then, the fight would involve millions of Elite players.

“What do we do now?” Pacer seemed to be in a hurry.

“We keep pressing forwards and get ready to fight. We’ll kill their Elites and the Boss before the rest of Ruling Sword arrives,” Hyacinth said as he received the order.

“How is that possible? They have already arrived at the Blasted Lands. If we provoke Lu Li again, we wouldn’t be able to escape, even if we ended the battle!” Forgotten Dream exclaimed. He didn’t want to leave his own people here.

Originally, the idea was the kill Lu Li and the others, then taking the spoils of the Boss.

“Shut up – this order comes from above. The players behind us are already catching up, so we need to rush ahead. We have already appeared in the Blasted Lands, so we have already offended Ruling Sword. Do you think you can take Ruling Sword’s counterattack without the protection of our supporter?”

The threat behind Hyacinth’s words were obvious.

The other three were silent as the players gathered at the Storm Altar.

However, what they saw on the Storm Altar made them despair.

The Boss hadn’t been defeated yet and was still in Berserk, but why were there so many Ruling Sword players?

At a glance, it seemed like they had a few thousand players.

Even if there was no Ruling Sword main force behind them, they wouldn’t be able to defeat these opponents, let alone defeat them quickly enough to avoid being trapped.

One side was an organized army and the other side was just a rabble of players.

The result of this fight could easily be imagined!

System: Congratulations to Ruling Sword’s Azure Sea Breeze, Lonesome Flower, Sesame Rice Ball… who were led by Lu Li to take the First Clear on the Demon Warlock Lady Sevine.
