Axel activated the shadow clone ability, something he had gotten from his unique bloodline causing shadows to disperse from his body, revealing two more 'Axel'.
In the hands of one of his shadow clones crackled lightning.
In the hands of the other one a poison mist had begun spreading.
And wings sprouted from the third, and at the same time lightning surfaced around the wings dancing around and forming into a dagger made of lightning.
Modret rolled his eyes at the display, "talk about aura farming…"
Meanwhile, the man's pupils constricted in terror.
"What? What? What the hell are you???"
He stared in terror at Axel as the youth vanished from the location, all three of his clones heading towards him.
He couldn't do anything and could only raise a gust of water to block the attack.
Universe Realm!
He was a Universe Realm expert a level above the Galaxy Realm, and yet he could barely handle someone that was just at the Universe Realm!
"What is wrong with this world?"
His mind screamed at him internally, but there was nothing worth pondering.
'At this rate I will die! I have to look for a way to break out of the circle!'
At this thought he continued releasing the attack, trying to look for a way to counter Axel.
However the three shadow clones were hard to handle.
If it wasn't for the fact that he was a seasoned expert and someone who was at the Universe level he would barely be able to handle the attack.
'I can use that but it's just a one time attack!'
His mind raced and he ultimately decided to use the technique.
He distanced himself from Axel and as he dodged quietly approaching Modret's location.
The moment Modret and Axel were aligned in a straight line, a sword shot out from behind him and without hesitation he let out a splitting strike.
'Turmoultous Sword Stroke…'
The surroundings rumbled and for a moment, it was as though a gigantic ocean had appeared in the skies submerging Modret and Axel under its terrifying might.
Modret's eyes widened in shock.
'A sword art?'
His movements didn't pause in the slightest as he stretched his hands forward causing five black fire lotuses to rapidly form mid air.
Boommmm
In an instant, the fire lotuses collided with the Turmoultous Sword Stroke causing a terrifying explosion to occur.
The middle aged man panted heavily, his hair disheveled as he struggled to calm himself from the pressure of the attack.
His body was haggard and even his skin had shriveled up slightly.
Frowning he wondered silently, 'they should be dead right? No way someone below Universe level can survive a sword art…'
As he had thought he squinted his eyes at the location.
Using the sword embedded into the ground he struggled to stabilize his trembling hand as he stood up, limping towards the location of the attack.
Just then, he felt a chill run down his spine as a calm voice entered his ears.
"Did you really think that could kill me?" Modret asked with a faint, amused chuckle.
"You–what?" before the man could realize what was happening, a crash landed on his head and he felt his consciousness blur before collapsing to the ground.
Modret shook his head then turned to Axel who was rapidly forming from intertwining shadows.
"This was really quite the delay…"
"There's no need to think too much about it young master…"
"Yeah," Modret shrugged casually, then both men quickly approached the location of the Celestial Gate.
Along the way they encountered many more guards on duty who were at the Galaxy Realm.
Of course Axel and Modret knocked them all unconscious along the way.
Finally, they reached the location of the Celestial Gate.
The Celestial Gate was a rotating brown doorway, radiating an intense pressure.
Modret could approximate that it was likely a Celestial Gate at C-grade.
'It should be easily handled by us…'
No longer hesitating he took a step forward and entered into the Celestial Gate.
Axel glanced around to see if they were being followed then silently stepped into the Celestial Gate behind Modret.
The moment the two entered a calm silvery ripple surfaced in the surroundings.
Modret felt his vision twist slightly and then he appeared in a different location this time in a world.
The moment he appeared, he sensed danger and instantly stepped to the side.
Axel was a step later, and a boulder crashed onto him, however his figure just dispersed into shadows, condensing and taking shape once more at a distance not too far away.
[Welcome to Celestial Descent.]
They briefly read the glowing golden words before casting their gaze around.
He cast a cautious glance at the surroundings, and Modret couldn't help looking up, only to see an empty sky.
There were faint, silent ripples pulsing in the sky, however it was nothing serious.
"It seems this is another particularly unique Celestial Gate…" Modret exclaimed, shifting his gaze from the gate and onto the surroundings.
Around him were all sorts of things different shapes and sizes of rocks.
He could also see creatures that towered over them both, moving the rocks about.
More than ten meters from them was a dark cave, from which stepped out another golem looking celestial.
'It seems the celestials here are based on the Earth Element.'
Modret understood internally.
He briefly recalled something and studied the wall surrounding them.
On the wall were the drawings and engravings from before.
'Just as I guessed, these writings are in all the walls in the Celestial Gates, as though creatures of the past era left them here…'
Many thoughts flashed through Modret's mind in an instant, but there was no time to ponder on them all as at the moment, the celestials seemed to have sensed the presence of the intruders, and their eyes showed a brief look, making strange sounds and rushing towards their location.
Modret turned to Axel casually, "let's quickly deal with this Celestial Gate and obtain the rewards, be careful and watch out for any peculiarities within this Celestial Gate."
Axel nodded then dispersed.
Black flames wrapped around Modret, and his body grew by more than a meter, almost rivalling the height of the approaching giant golems.
He glanced at them then let out an estranged roar before rushing with terrifying speed towards the location of the golem.
