MMORPG: Rebirth of the Legendary TimeKeeper

Chapter 73: Mr. Anthony who exactly are you?

Alexandra was about to indulge in a friendly banter with Silva, who had approached her as usual. It was their secret hideout where they talked freely since they couldn't do it in the outside world other than through their smartphones. How they met… is a story for another time.

Just as they were about to talk, Frig moved in, thrashing the guy whom Silva had brought with her.

Not again. It's the third time now…

A long sigh escaped from Alexandra's mouth as she was going to put him on a blacklist this time. Though before anything could escalate, Frig was chewed upon, trash talked and his dignity torn into dozens of pieces. All by a man who she, just like many others, judged out to be another random peculiar person that Silva had brought with her.

Just… Wow!

Alexandra, the host of the party, looked at the guy in crimson with an amused look before turning to Silva, her best friend.

"Tell me, you idiot. Just who did you bring this time?" She asked in pure curiosity.

Silva had always asked for two invitation cards, each time bringing someone who was more antique than the other. Sometimes it's a pianist that enthralled the entire hall with his skills. Other times, there was a middle-aged man who turned out to be one of the leading scientists of a Nobel prize winning event.

Because it had never caused anything detrimental to the party, Alexandra had always allowed her to do whatever she wanted to do. After all, Silva has many times helped tighten various deals when Alexandra needed her. Silva's connections were always the best.

Though this time…

It was particularly interesting.

Who is he?

Because this time, Alexandra could not even begin to guess who he was.

From the way he talks, he could be an actor. But I don't know any actor with such great acting and that kind of build. Hmmmm. Could he be another upcoming actor? Alexandra thought as she saw him coming towards her with a slow, graceful manner.

"Be careful. When it comes to communication, I think he is better than I," Silva praised with a proud expression on her face, enjoying the evening as she saw Mikael doing exactly how she planned it out to be. In fact, he has somewhat exceeded her expectations.

Mikael, or Mr Anthony, reached closer to Alexandra, gracefully bowing a little as he asked,

"That was a wonderful speech, Miss…"

"Sapphire," Alexandra added, to which Mr. Anthony nodded, before continuing,

"Miss Sapphire. There were a lot of things I liked, but to be honest, the thing I was most intrigued by was that strange language. It made me wonder if it was possible to learn it."

Mr. Anthony seemed genuinely curious about that language. Alexandra thought as she tried to read his expression from his lips. The way he talked, the tones he used. It seemed sincere. He seemed to be really serious about learning that language.

"To hear that we can learn it, really tickles a soft spot in my heart. I will try my best to find out more about the language and present it to you, though in return, can I ask for more of your work instead? I do not lack as much money, you see. And I always value knowledge more than anything. It's a craving, you can say."

Silva smiled as she saw Mikael lying through his teeth without batting an eye. Even the lavish suit he was wearing was on rent, half of which was paid by Silva. Heck, even the premium cards were something he got after haggling for 30 minutes straight and reducing their price by half just 3 days ago.

"It would be my pleasure, Mr. Anthony. Any growth towards leaning towards that language will always be welcome by us," Alexandra, Miss Sapphire, answered with a smile, her mind going at an insane pace, trying to figure out the identity of the man in front of her.

Then… a knowledge bomb was dropped in the conversation.

"I was actually able to understand a few words, though. For example the word illia most probably meant 'Oh the Gods!' or 'Oh Heavenly beings!'. The word Ki on the other hand probably means die or something related to death," he began, gaining the attention of Alexandra, Silva and those around them, their eyes slowly widening.

"I mean, within the temples, in the prayers to the God of Fire, Wind, Air or Earth. All the players began as such before mentioning Earti, Aeir, Liea, Milea. Most probably the names of the Gods in their language? Ezekiel also used it in his prayers a few times. Hmmm, also about the word Ki, I think I saw a bishop beginning his prayers before killing a prisoner using that word. If you search on the net, you can find a few more videos of it," he added without much thought of it, as the entire place now focused on him.

Seriously, Silva! Who the heck is he? Questioned Alexandra as she looked at Silva, who also seemed to be getting shocked at this revelation.

"It's not much really, but consider it as a gift for the start of our beautiful friendship," Mr. Anthony spoke, moving his hand forward for a shake, which she slowly took as she observed him with the same dumbfounded look.

By this time, in a matter of a few minutes, everyone has noted the name 'Mr. Anthony' imprinting it in their mind. Whoever he was, whatever his background was, they needed to find out. They must find out!

He is going to be at the top of this rat race. Raven judged, understanding why everyone was on edge here. What the host of this party wanted to do, something she was going to put effort and capital into, Mr. Anthony had already solved a small but essential part of it. A start with which the whole language can be somewhat understood with 50% more ease than it would have been without it.

I must have him! Alexandra thought as he looked at this anomaly in front of her. She wanted to rip off his mask and see the person behind it, and then do anything it took to make him one of his own.

"Thank… you," Alexandra spoke, breaking the silence before she asked,

"Will it be all right if I indulge you with some dessert? We have some of the finest chefs we have brought from overseas."

"That would be lovely," Mr. Anthony responded with a kind smile before moving along with her.

As the conversation turned mundane, slowly the rest of the people at the party began dispersing as well.

Raven looked at Castellina. The duo silently conversed with their eyes before nodding at each other. Even though they were both asked to stay silent and observe, they also had other minor goals in this mission of theirs, given by the elders if they wanted some merits.

Which was to find out a few key people, people whom the clan was specifically looking out for.

They may or may not be present there, so the entire search could lead to nothing. But if they do end up finding someone, even one person on the list, their merit would soar in their clan. Honestly, it meant shit to both of them, but the fact that if they do well, they will also get more chances to visit outside, especially for Raven, was something that they just can't ignore.
