10x Rewards: Becoming Invincible With My Sign-in System

Chapter 119: A Choice

Aegon was really happy that Rosa agreed to his suggestion. Although he couldn't see a future with her as life partner, she could be a good friend so he didn't want to lose her so quickly.

Her arrogance for others wasn't something that bothered him because she had hard work to back her up. Not to mention, she also respected his Choices, so he definitely has a favorable opinion of her.

The only had thing perhaps was her chatty mouth that just refused to shut up.

"And you know what? Those girls were actually eying you!" She continued to complain as they walked side by side on the place. "Oh, that reminds me. Can I drive away all the girls since you don't want distraction?"

"Not my friends, but random, yes you can ask long as you don't use extreme methods," Aegon shrugged. "I don't really care."

If he wasn't even allowing her to distrub his training, then why would he care about random girls who just had a childish crush on him?

Well, he did feel a little bad for them, but it didn't mean he would distrub his training. It was more important.

"Hehehe~ don't worry!" Rosa licked her lips, as a creepy laugh escaped her mouth. "I will use all the legal means to drive them away. I'll just make them realise how they don't even deserve to be on my hubby's level."

Aegon lightly knocked on her head and said, "Just don't go overboard and don't spout nonsense."

"Got it!"

"Then, see you tomorrow." Aegon smiled at her before walking towards the exit.

Perhaps, she was confused on his actions, as she asked, "Why are you leaving the Academy? Isn't it better to stay in dorms?"

Aegon stopped, turning around slightly to reply, "I'll do that from tomorrow. For now, I made a promise already so can't break it."

"Ah! See you tomorrow then," Rosa waved her hand with a sweet smile on her face.

Aegon also waved his hand and descended the stairs leading down the God's Hand. It was still as beautiful as before to him. It really felt as if he was looking at something divine.

By the time he reached the bottom, he could already see a blue haired young man waiting for him. His smile seemed to annoy the guards, as they tried to ignore his talks.

"Stop corroding their ears with your shitty voice," Aegon said, stepping beside him. "They'll go deaf."

"Then how are you still able to listen?" Xavier asked.

"I'm built different," Aegon shrugged. "And I also gained immunity long ago."

"Tsk! Here I thought I finally found a way to make you disable," Xavier clicked his tongue and then winked at the guards. "See ya tomorrow, guys. We'll continue this conversation later."

The guards gave a stinky eye to him, then completely ignored him. Aegon wondered just what was this guy discussing with them?

But for some reason, he had a feeling it was better to remain in dark.

As they walked back to the city, Aegon told about his plan of spending whole year in just training, though he didn't mention what happened in the Void Chamber mostly because it was confidential information.

"Not a surprise," Xavier said, munching on some melon seeds. "You never change this habit, so I already expected it. I already arranged the dorm room for you."

"Noice! Now I don't need to worry much," Aegon smiled. "Though, I'll probably spend my nights in that library."

"Do that and I'll kick your ass," Xavier scoffed. "Grandpa calls you Little Sun, but you behaving as if sun is your enemy."

"Don't worry, I'll touch grass everyday," Aegon chuckled and said.

"That reminds me," Xavier smiled slyly, as he swung his arm around Aegon's neck. "I heard you accepted someone's marriage proposal today?"

Aegon choked, as he was too speechless by the speed rumours spread, and they even had the audacity to add their own mix in it.

"I didn't," Aegon sighed and told about Rosa to him and about their arrangements.

"Hmm, I didn't think you would actually let a arrogant girl court you," Xavier said honestly. "But she has her redeeming quality so I can see why you're giving her a chance."

"Even if nothing happens, which is the highly likely possibility, I still think she'll be a good friend," Aegon nodded. "And I'm also curious how she knows so much about me."

"Maybe some Seer stuff?" Xavier guessed. "I mean, what if she had affinity to Fate or something and can see future and past of someone?"

"I already have someone like that countering that," Aegon replied nonchalantly, as he had denied that possibility long ago. "Whatever it is, I'm really curious to find out."

"Now even I'm curious about her," Xavier said, rubbing his chin. "Do you want any help? Or do you wanna join a house?"

"Nah, I'm fine." Aegon said. "I'll handle everything, but it does mean we won't meet often."

"Who cares about that?" Xavier smacked his back, laughing. "Our friendship isn't something time can corrode."

"That's true as well," Aegon smiled.

Now, he was less worried about their future. First Year was mostly just learning and training, with little to do with the main stuff of Academy.

Even the Houses let their new members focus on growing rather than participate in their games. A growing bud was useless in a battle against winds, so the trees had to sheild them.

'That reminded me, did you send the manuscript, Hecte?' Aegon asked.

[Solomon delivered it last night after you finished writing it.]

'Noice. I also need to focus on entertainment industry, my own growth and finally the replication of Mana Stones. Half of my problems would be solved by that one Invention.'

But that required lots of practice and study of Runes as a RuneMaster. That was where most of his time would probably go for the next one year.

"By the way, what really happened with Cali Sis?" Xavier asked. "I got too emotional to ask in morning."

"You think I'll tell you that?"

"Why not? I'm your best friend."

"Brother, just look at your face. Those teeth makes it like you just gave a blowjob to a rabbit."

"Stop projecting and fuck off if you don't want to tell me."
