Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method

Chapter 168: Bracelets of Pure Suffering

Garion smiled, resting the greatsword on his shoulder.

"Alright. Now I know exactly what to do with you. You've got good instincts but need refinement… and also a stronger body to handle this greatsword."

Raviel frowned. "Stronger body? You mean more training?"

Garion grinned. "Exactly. But not just any training."

He reached into his system storage and pulled out four dark metallic bands.

They looked like simple bracelets, but each one gave off a faint pressure.

He placed them on the ground in front of Raviel.

"Put these on. You'll wear them all the time."

Raviel crouched down, picking one up. The moment his fingers touched it, his expression changed.

"What the?! Why's this so heavy?"

He struggled just to lift it with one hand.

Garion chuckled. "Each one's fifty kilograms."

Raviel's eyes widened. "Fifty? You mean… two hundred in total?"

Garion nodded, completely serious. "Correct. Two hundred kilograms. You'll wear them on your wrists and ankles at all times."

Raviel blinked, staring at the bracelets like they were torture devices. "At all times? You've lost your mind."

Garion smirked. "No, I'm not, and it's the fastest way to make you stronger by making your body trained at all times, even when sleeping."

Raviel groaned. "You're insane."

Garion crossed his arms. "Maybe. But tell me, do you want to beat Aveline or not?"

Raviel clenched his jaw. "Damn it… fine. For Aveline."

Garion raised a brow. "Say it louder."

Raviel sighed, then shouted. "For Aveline!"

Garion laughed. "Good! That's the spirit."

He watched as Raviel slowly strapped the bracelets on, grunting as the weight settled on his limbs.

His knees bent slightly, and his shoulders trembled under the pressure.

Raviel exhaled sharply. "Tch… this is brutal. I can barely move."

Garion smirked. "That's normal. By tomorrow, you'll start adjusting. And in a week, you'll move like normal. But your strength..."

He raised a finger. "Will increase several times over."

Raviel straightened, sweat already forming on his forehead. "Are you sure this isn't going to break me?"

Garion chuckled. "If it does, I'll just rebuild you stronger."

Raviel glared. "You sound way too proud of that."

Garion clapped his hands. "Alright! Since you're already wearing those, we might as well start."

He gestured to the center of the room, where several pieces of gym equipment were located.

"First, we'll focus on body strengthening with the classics: squats, push-ups, deadlifts, etc."

"But this time, you'll be doing them under pressure. And don't even think about taking those bracelets off."

Raviel sighed, rolling his shoulders. "You really want me dead."

Garion grinned. "No, I want you ripped."

Raviel muttered. "Same thing."

Garion ignored the complaint. "After that, you'll move on to your greatsword drills."

"You'll practice your swings and footwork while carrying the weight. That'll help your control and precision."

Raviel frowned. "You mean I'll be swinging this monster with two hundred kilograms dragging me down?"

Garion nodded. "Exactly. The goal is for your body to remember how to move with weight, so when you finally remove them, you'll move faster and hit harder than ever."

Raviel sighed deeply. "You're serious about this torture, huh?"

Garion smiled. "Absolutely. And one more thing. You'll be taking these."

He pulled out two bottles from his system storage, one filled with a glowing red and yellow liquid, the other with a swirling orange one.

"The [Flaming Storm Creatine Shake] and the [Flaming Storm Protein Shake]. Drink one before training and one after."

Raviel frowned, taking one of the bottles. "Damn it. This again."

Garion grinned. "Of course. It'll fuel your body like nothing else. Helps recovery, mana flow, and endurance."

Raviel hesitated, then sighed. "Fine. Bottoms up."

He downed the drink in one go, his face immediately twisting.

"Damn it! It burns! Why does it taste like molten fruit and lightning!?"

Garion laughed. "That means it's working."

Raviel coughed, setting the bottle down. "You're the worst trainer ever."

Garion patted his shoulder. "And you're my most entertaining student. Now stop whining and get to work."

Raviel groaned but stepped toward the squat rack anyway.

The bracelets clanked with every movement, forcing him to adjust his balance.

"Fifty squats, fifty push-ups, and fifty swings. Then repeat."

Raviel muttered under his breath. "For Aveline… for Aveline…"

Garion crossed his arms, watching closely. "That's right. Keep saying it. Let it burn into your mind."

Hours passed as Raviel pushed through the workout, his movements slow but steady.

Every rep shook the ground, and every swing echoed through the gym.

By the end, he dropped to one knee, drenched in sweat and gasping for air. "This… is insane…"

Garion grinned proudly. "And that's just day two."

Raviel groaned. "You're a demon."

Garion smirked. "Maybe. But by the end of this month, you'll be a god."

Raviel looked up, breathing heavily. "...For Aveline."

Garion chuckled. "Now you're getting it. But don't stop there. Try flowing your mana through your body."

Raviel blinked in confusion. "Flow my mana? What do you mean?"

Garion nodded. "Just like what I told you a few days ago. My cultivation path isn't about sitting still and meditating."

"It's about making your body absorb mana directly. You're exhausted right now, right?"

Raviel groaned softly. "Obviously."

Garion nodded. "Good. That's the perfect state. Your body's crying for energy, so this is when you circulate your mana."

"Guide it from your Mana Core through every limb. Let every part of your body drink it in, enhancing them."

Raviel frowned slightly but nodded. "So basically… cultivate through exhaustion?"

Garion smiled. "Exactly. That's the basis of my path. Training your body and cultivating your mana."

Raviel closed his eyes, taking a slow breath. His mana started to move, flowing from his core and spreading through his veins.

The heat from his earlier workout met the warmth of his mana, fusing together until his whole body pulsed with fiery rhythm.

Garion watched carefully. "That's it. Let your mana merge with your blood. Make your flesh remember this feeling."

Raviel's breathing slowed. "It's… working. The fatigue's fading a little."

Garion grinned. "That's how it starts. Every time you reach your limit, absorb mana like this. Bit by bit, your body will evolve."

Raviel opened his eyes, faint sparks of flame and lightning flickering around his skin.

"So this is what you mean by letting the body cultivate…"

Garion nodded proudly. "Exactly. This is the foundation of the God Physique Path."
