Violet lay waste to any of the summoned monkeys that dared get in her wake as she awaited her plan to come into fruition.
As she did so she slowly made her way across the now sprawling battlefield towards Luna, intending to bring her along on her quest to slay the filthy poop throwers.
Finally reaching her side after quickly slaying a couple of her foggy foes she was soon standing side by side with her closest companion as they put down any who dared approach them.
"Iv got a plan! Need your help when the time comes." She quickly explained.
Dodging a powerful overhead strike and responding to said strike with a quick thrust into the beasts chest before detonating the icicle on the end of her spear, resulting in said chest exploding in a burst of fog that quickly dissipated. "Oh what do you need me to do?" She eventually said in between breaths.
"When the cat and eagle finally get a good gale going the fog should be pushed back, hopefully we will be able to spot the creatures that are summoning these monkeys. When we do, our job is to charge in and kill them!" Violet happily explained.
Luna smirked as she heard the obvious delight in her companions voice as she explained her 'elaborate' plan. But being the good companion that she was Luna magnanimously chose not to poke any holes in said plan. "Okay then, just give me the signal and I'll be right behind you!"
With that decided the two once more got back to the battle. Now no longer diving right in but staying somewhat back and ensuring that no member of their expanded party got in any trouble.
Then before too long it finally began. A breeze blew past the two companions, originating from the cat beast who stood in the center of the formation with green energies swirling around it. The wind swirled around the feline as she condensed and then directed the mana to rise up and attach itself to the now floating eagle that circled ahead.
When the eagle became fully coated in dense winds it suddenly shot forward and began to fly around the group in ever increasing speeds. The winds that trailed behind the bird continually grew in strength as the cat continually sent its mana towards the flying beast.
As the eagle continued to circle the gentle breeze picked up into a localised hurricane that began to push back the fog that was previously dominating the area.
Noticing this the monkeys seemingly disapproved of this action and began to try and attack the eagle, only to be blocked by at first violet with her shields of void. Only for the rest of the group to seemingly understand and join in on their efforts to defend the rapidly circling bird.
This only served to further enrage the mindless monkeys who only increased their fury and dove in with reckless abandon. Their numbers seemingly endless and they died in droves.
However, they failed to stop the inevitable wind. As it grew in intensity the fog was continually pushed further and further back until it hit a braking point.
With a cacophonous BOOOM! The localised hurricane exploded outwards in a rush.
The encroaching monkeys were flung back along with the fog soon clearing all obstructions in a wide range and fully revealing the clearing they found themselves within. It also revealed the true foes that they were being attacked by.
Along the edge of the clearing several small monkeys stood in strange poses whilst clutching branches and other strange instruments of their vile magics. The look of surprise on the monkeys faces was quite delightful to a particular dragon who blasted out a telepathic message to all members of her group.
"Kill the small ones!"
The fury contained with those words sent a chill through the assorted beasts, yet at the same time the domineering tone take left no room for any to question if they should follow said order or not.
As they realised this fact the dragon in question was already dashing forward before disappearing one moment only to reappear between two of the monkey shamans. Then with a vicious swipe of her claws and a decisive chomp, two of the casters fell dead to the ground. At the same time a good dozen of the blown away larger monkeys instantly dissolved into mist.
Without needing any more encouragement the various beast charged forward. With a clear foe in their sights and confirmation of the result that killing them brought. Well it quickly became a slaughter.
The monkeys may have been strong magically, and they poised a substantial threat when given the opportunity to set up an ambush. When in a direct confrontation, they were found to be severely lacking.
Magics flew, claws swiped, jaws bit down. All around the cohort of beast devistated the assembled monkeys, with them powerless to halt the slaughter.
Before long the last of them lay dead at the groups feet, and with that death the oppressive fog began to dissipate too.
A particular dragon was in quite the good mood after that and she swiftly sought out the main contributors to that victory.
She found a very tired looking eagle and cat sprawled out on the ground, they looked to be quite exhausted and had clearly spent a considerable amount of their mana unleashing that combination spell.
And given the improvised nature of the spell it was indeed quite commendable how fast they had put that plan into action.
"Thank you for blowing away the fog, would have been a much longer fight without your work." Violet spoke to the two beasts who looked back at her with surprise and a touch of embarrassment, if the way that the cat refused to look at her directly was anything to guess by.
Violet waited for a moment to see if they would reply to her but the two seemed unable to form any response. So after a few awkward moments of silence Violet simply nodded at the two before walking away and heading back to Luna.
In the way she check her notifications to see what awaited her.

With a fresh level under her violet made her way over to Luna to share her success and rest.
Meanwhilst a certain bird was still staring at the retreating dragon with a mix of admiration and delight. For she had been directly spoken to twice now by the fearsome void dragon, she was even thanked for her hard work! Sashan was now more convinced of her decision to follow behind that magnificent beast. And she swore that she would try her utmost to live up to her expectations.
