As soon as Mayor read the attached note, he took his Comm and called.

What did he mean if?

Of course he was interested. This was his once in a lifetime opportunity. The heavens had smiled at him, he would be insane not to smile back. And as far as he was concerned, he was definitely mentally sound.

Hence, the huge grin sitting on his face.

Beep.

The call connected.

"Are you interested?" The young voice went directly to the point.

"Definitely." Mayor had not been more sure of something in his entire two hundred plus years.

"Cool. Then, she is headed over."

"Your Eminence, I do not think you have to disturb your subordinates for such a trivial matter. I can simply head over there-"

"No." The young voice interrupted. "I would rather you focus on the documentation of the company's sale, while she comes to get you."

"Your Eminence, I mean no offense, but I can travel and still work on the documentation." Mayor bought up the point gently.

"Are you sure? You would not mess up? Because I am sure you have to read in between the lines of such documents. Her getting you would be appropriate for such a thing." The voice argued. "Plus, she is not really my subordinate. More like a personal guard... no, like a guardian."

Mayor paused for just a brief second, then, his eyes brightened. "Now that you mentioned it, Your Eminence, I totally remembered that I do have to do that. I guess, your esteemed guardian coming to get me would be the best course of action."

"Definitely." An instant agreement from the young voice which Mayor had now concluded to be truly that of a young man. A filthy rich and influential young man. Likely the heir of a behemoth or empire.

"Oh, I just remembered." Mayor started.

"Remember what?"

"I have an event that I have to attend in an hour. And it might take some time. So, should I postpone-"

"No need." The young voice interrupted Mayor again. "She will come and meet you now. You can attend the event, just do not take long. You know she will be with you and I will be waiting for her here. I won't like to wait on her for too long. Do you get it?"

"Totally. I totally get you." Mayor nodded, he totally got it.

"Good. Now, I have things to attend to. Have a nice day Adept Mayor."

"You too, Your Eminence."

The call ended at that.

Mayor gently placed down the Comm as various calculations and thoughts ran through his head.

"Boss." The door opened as a slender beauty stepped into the room.

"Fredja." Mayor acknowledged.

"You called for me boss." She walked over to the table side, her heels filling the soulless room with rhythm.

"Yea. What can I say? I have good news. No, excellent news. The company has been bought." Mayor said with a smug grin.

"Huh? What company?" Fredja's black bangs fell to the side as she tilted her head in confusion.

"The company has been bought, lil shrimp." Mayor repeated as he stared into her emerald eyes. His grin widened as her eyes lit up with surprise and disbelief. He spun on his heels and walked towards the wall-to-ceiling window and gazed at the chaos of the city.

"Fredja." He called out, snapping her out of her stunned state. "Soon. Really soon. My ambition to rule the business world of this city would die out. You know why? Because it would be meaningless to me then."

As mayor stared at the city, he could see his faint reflection and also his big ass grin in it. Despite being a handsome man with his grey infested black hair and beard sitting on his rugged and chiseled face, his smiling face did not look so good.

"In fact, with the wealth I now possess, it already is."

---

Meanwhile, back at Oke city.

Towards the center of the city, near a clear field, was a delivery bus. By the truck were three people, two male, one female.

One of the male, the more handsome one, was dressed in all white with a regal aura radiating off him. He was on a call on his Comm . The other male, also handsome albeit lacking only when compared to his neighbor, was staring intensely at him. The white dressed handsome ignored the intense stare and went on with his call.

After dropping the second call, he turned to look at the female, who had been silent.

"Shalis, can you find him?" Saquin asked as he showed her a picture of Mayor.

"Easy. He is one of the big shots of the capital. He had conducted some deals with the captain before." She replied.

"I would like you to go keep an eye on him." Saquin instructed her.

Saquin had left his call on the speaker option, so she was already aware of what was going on. But, "I don't think it is a good idea to leave you alone. Especially in the city. Why don't we go together?"

"Come on. I just got here, I do not feel like leaving. Plus, I am not in any danger. The guys staring at us from the shadows are not much of a threat to me." Saquin argued.

Shalis stared hard at him. "Young master, I feel like you are getting rid of me."

"Only temporarily." Saquin shrugged. Then, he saw the hurt on her face. "Hey, don't take the wrong way. I just want to have some bro-coded fun with Simons here for a while."

"Really?" Shalis's dark face brightened.

"Yep." Saquin nodded.

"Then, I shall be off then. Take care young master."

"Hmm." Saquin nodded. "Oh, and Shalis, don't spy on me." He said as Shalis's form dispersed into a whirlwind.

"Yes, young master." Her voice came from the whirlwind before it scattered.

---

A shudder passed through the planet's energy pool as a master of Senar bent the wind element to their will and used it to travel.

---

Back in Mani city, barely a minute had passed after Mayor's conversation with Fredja.

They now both sat down on the table going through documents after documents. Contrary to expectations, they were actually physical copies of documents and not software. These documents were made of special materials under special conditions, they were not just durable, they were powerful.

Just then.

A surge of energy swept through the room.

Mayor raised both his hands and paused.

Unlike Fredja who had summoned her Core and got into a combat ready state, he simply stayed put. Because he knows, no matter the resistance he tries to put up, it would be useless. Utterly so.

"Fredja, put away the bow and show no hostility." He instructed grimly.

Before Fredja could reply, a whirlwind appeared in the office.

It was violent at first, causing the security system of the building to go off. Unfortunately, it could not do anything as the energy allocated to it was no longer under its control.

In fact, no one in the two kilometer radius of the building had full control over their energy. Especially Senar.

The whirlwind slowly dispersed and in its place was a beautiful young woman hovering mid air in a sitting position. The pressure washing off her was so intense that Fredja was suffocating.

"Welcome, my lord." Mayor stood up and dipped into a formal bow.

The pressure slowly faded away as she stared at him.

Then.

"You must be Mayor, I am Shalis. Young Master sent me."

Shalis introduced herself with a smile.
