Chapter 49: Buying Slaves

Aaron thought for a moment and said, "Get me 5 doctors, 10 tailors, 10 blacksmiths, 5 chefs, 5 architects, and 20 carpenters."

After saying so, he paused and added, "Do you sell soldiers?"

The masked man shook his head and replied, "Nope. But sir, are you sure you don't want the businessman? Why don't you meet her first and then decide?"

Aaron looked at him and said, "Fine. Bring that person here."

The masked man nodded, "Sir, please wait here. I'll also bring the other slaves according to your request."

He left and returned within a few minutes, accompanied by a girl whose face was covered with a veil.

Once she arrived, the masked man said, "Sir, this is the person. She's the daughter of a businessman. If you're interested, you can buy her for 5 gold coins."

Aaron looked at the masked man and said, "Okay."

But at that moment, the girl began to sob and said, "Lord, can you buy my sister together with me?"

Aaron turned to the masked man and said, "Bring her sister."

After saying so, he glanced at the map and was stunned

the girl in front of him had the strength of a Level 5 or middle-tier apprentice knight.

Without hesitation, he decided to buy her.

A few minutes later, the masked man returned with a girl around ten years old.

As soon as she arrived, the older girl rushed forward and hugged her tightly.

The masked man then asked,

"Sir, do you need anything else? How about a maid?"

Aaron shook his head and replied, "No need."

Torvald, standing beside him, said, "Take us to inspect the slaves."

The masked man nodded and began introducing the teenagers.

Among them, the doctors and tailors were girls, while the rest, blacksmiths, chefs, carpenters, and architects were boys.

Aaron observed them carefully.

Then he pointed to one of the boys and asked, "You over there tell me how to build a building."

The boy, whose profession was listed as an architect, was stunned.

He hurriedly replied, "Master, what kind of building do you want to make? I only know how to build mud houses."

Aaron's eyes narrowed.

Without warning, he grabbed the masked man by the neck and said in a cold, chilling tone, "Do you dare to cheat a noble?"

The sudden outburst startled everyone.

Even Torvald hadn't expected Aaron to react so violently.

The masked man, stunned and trembling, stammered, "Lord… I… I didn't cheat you. All the slaves are only taught basic skills."

Torvald quickly added, "Aaron, what he said is true. If you want adults, they'll cost up to 10 gold coins each."

Aaron took a deep breath to calm himself, then released the masked man's neck.

He said firmly, "Bring me one adult of each profession, and make sure they're skilled. If you dare cheat me again, the consequences won't be the same."

The masked man froze in fear.

At that moment, the aura radiating from Aaron made him feel as though he was standing before a man who sat atop a pile of skeletons.

Sweat dripped down his face as he stammered, "Sir… Sir… don't worry. I… I'll get the skilled slaves now."

He ran off in a panic, while the other slaves stood stunned.

They had never seen the masked man so flustered before.

While the masked man muttered to himself, "Who the hell is that man? He's just a teenager, but strong enough to give off that kind of aura. Damn it… I almost lost my life today."

A few minutes later, he returned with two women in their thirties and four men, all between the ages of thirty and forty.

He said, "Lord, her name is Rita, the doctor. She is Rina, the tailor. Toro, the blacksmith. Monty, the architect. And Toky, the carpenter. They all possess above-average knowledge. As for chefs, we don't have any skilled ones. Different regions have different cuisines, so you'll need to train your own. But don't worry, those slave chefs have learned basic cooking skills."

Aaron didn't hesitate. He looked directly into Rita's eyes and asked, "Miss Rita, right? Since you're a doctor, tell me, how do you bandage a wound?"

Rita was stunned, then quickly replied, "Lord, we bandage a wound by cutting a clean piece of cloth and applying a few drops of alcohol. After that, we wrap it around the wound."

Aaron nodded, then turned to Rina, "Miss Rina, what types of clothes can you make?"

Rina replied in a low tone, "Lord, I can make shirts and pants for both men and women. I also craft some handicrafts."

Aaron then looked at Toro, "What kind of skills do you possess, Mr. Toro?"

Toro replied in a slightly hoarse voice, "Lord, I can make weapons, horse saddles, and I'm confident I can produce anything related to blacksmithing."

Aaron turned to Monty, "Mr. Monty, since you're an architect, what kind of buildings can you construct?"

Monty immediately replied, "Lord, as long as the materials are available, I can build stone roads, houses, castles, whatever you need."

Finally, Aaron looked at Toky, "Mr. Toky, what about your skills?"

Toky thought for a few seconds and replied, "Lord, I can build carriages, wooden planks, wooden houses, and more."

Satisfied, Aaron turned to the masked man, "What's their price?"

The masked man replied, "Lord, the cost of Rita and five other doctor slaves is 35 gold coins. Rina costs 10 gold coins. Toro is 15 gold coins. Monty is 20 gold coins. Toky is 15 gold coins. The businesswoman and her sister together cost 10 gold coins. As for the other slaves, they'll be given to you for free. So the total is 105 gold coins."

Torvald stepped forward and said, "Hurry up and bring their contracts."

The masked man left again.

By the time the transaction was complete, it was nearly evening.

Aaron and Torvald led the slaves to Ravenshore, where Captain Monga was already waiting.

Upon seeing them, Monga bowed and said, "Lord Aaron, I've completed your task."

Aaron was relieved, "Take these people with you. Prepare food for them."

He tossed a gold coin.

Monga smiled and said, "Don't worry, Lord Aaron. I'll prepare a good meal for them."

Then he turned to the slaves.

"Follow me."

The slaves followed behind him.
