Nighttime.
All the trainees were exhausted. Today had been a hard day for them. Though they completed their tasks and earned contribution points, it was still far from what they truly needed.
Meanwhile, Aaron sat inside his tent, examining the storage bags he had taken from the werewolf team he had killed.
He opened the first bag and found it filled with dried food, a pair of cloaks, and disturbing materials, blood, internal organs, and other remnants that appeared to be extracted from a human.
The sight was eerie. Aaron had never encountered anything like it before.
He took a deep breath and opened the second storage bag. It contained similar contents.
Then he opened the last bag.
Inside, he found-
- Torn pages
- Sulphur
- Candles
- Bottles filled with blue powder
- Animal teeth
- Creature eyes preserved in jars
- More cloaks
- Dried food
- An oil barrel
- And five bottles filled with blood-red potion
Aaron stared at the items, his heart filled with conflict.
These materials were useless to him, unless he chose to practice dark rituals.
After a moment of reflection, he took out only the torn pages, then moved all the other materials into one storage bag.
He made a quiet decision.
"I'll bury this for now. If I ever learn the knowledge to use it, I can retrieve it later."
Then Aaron paused for a moment, his thoughts drifting toward his stats.
He noticed that his Wizard Visualization Method was still at Level 5.
Suddenly, he remembered, he hadn't been able to learn the Death Spell. Was it related to this?
Without hesitation, he sat cross-legged and poured his experience points into the skill.
The Wizard Visualization Method advanced to Level 6 the maximum level it could reach.
Inside his sea of consciousness, he saw the basic runes interconnecting, as if they had entered a state of perfect harmony.
At the same time, a stream of information flowed into his mind.
The mana cost for spells remained the same, but their effects had doubled.
Aaron stood and walked toward the beach.
He cast the Light Spell.
It consumed 3 mana points, but now illuminated a 20-meter radius and lasted for 10 minutes.
He barely hesitated before casting the Fireball Spell.
It consumed 5 mana points, and the fireball shot from his fingertips with incredible speed.
An orange streak flew across the sea and exploded with a loud boom.
Aaron was stunned, the range had doubled from 20 to 40 meters.
He continued testing:
- Light Body now buffed up to 20 people for 20 minutes
- Mage Hand had a 40-meter range and 20-minute duration
- Holy Light Ball exploded after 3 seconds, illuminating a 20-meter radius
As for Shield and Rapid Growth, he hadn't yet tested their changes.
For now, it was enough.
Tomorrow, he planned to use Rapid Growth to generate seeds from the plants he had secretly planted.
He thought for a few seconds, then decided to head to the secret place.
Using Light Spell to illuminate the path, he arrived and checked the map, no animals nearby.
Relieved, he stood in an open clearing and summoned the Experimental Table from his loot with a thought.
Aaron was stunned.
The table was fully equipped:
- Beakers, jars, test tubes
- A box of tool
- A magnifying glass, weights, magic burner, pipes
- A wash basin
- Cabinets on both ends filled with spare gases, tools, and glassware
For a moment, he felt like he had stepped into a chemistry lab.
He thought aloud, "The Blood Pill recipe… Since Miss Elina can provide it, I should be able to buy some materials in the Wizard World, especially Blue Fungus powder and rose petals."
"The rest I can gather easily. If I find live Rose and Blue Fungus plants, I can use Rapid Growth to cultivate them in large numbers."
Aaron used Mage Hands to swiftly move the experimental table inside the tent. However, once it was inside, he realized there was no space left. It looked like he would need to expand the place soon.
After that, Aaron returned to the camp and found Rumba.
He said, "Rumba, go and bring your guards. I'll teach you all the basic sword techniques. I was too occupied during the day and almost forgot about it."
Rumba was stunned, then excited.
In fact, his team had brought their swords hoping Lord Aaron would train them. But as time passed, they realized he hadn't, and with their duties supervising the trainees, they'd all forgotten.
If not for Aaron's reminder, they might have missed the opportunity entirely.
Rumba replied in a slightly excited tone, "Lord Aaron, don't worry. I'll bring the guard team now. They'll be pleased to hear your advice."
Aaron nodded. "Well, okay."
Then he paused and added, "Maybe some more people will join you. Gather your team at the east gate."
Rumba immediately left to gather the guards.
Meanwhile, Aaron went to find the Rose Guards. Since he would be leaving the village soon, he wanted to train them a little, so they could protect the village in his absence.
He soon found Melina near Miss Elisa's tent.
Seeing Aaron, Melina greeted him warmly. "Lord Aaron, is there anything you need help with?"
Aaron shook his head. "I'm going to train my people. Would you like to join them?"
Melina was stunned and confused. Although Aaron had reached the Earth Knight realm, she wasn't sure of his combat skills. After all, a person could focus their energy on only one discipline.
But it felt rude to question him, so she nodded and said, "Okay, Lord Aaron. I'll gather my team now. I hope you can guide them as well."
Aaron replied, "No problem. I'll teach them basic sword techniques. As for archery, I'll cover that early tomorrow morning."
Melina asked, "Where should we gather?"
Aaron answered, "Outside the east gate."
As he walked toward the east gate, he encountered Kelly.
She said, "Lord Aaron, can I join the guard team for training?"
Aaron looked at her, almost forgetting that she was also a Knight Apprentice.
"Of course," he said. "Get a sword from Rumba and meet us outside the east gate."
Kelly smiled brightly. "Okay, Lord Aaron."
She hurried off, while Aaron wiped the nonexistent sweat from his forehead.
He muttered to himself, "It seems I need to start recording important things every day."
