“It’s not a bad thing to be restricted.” Judikaka then continued, “Otherwise, all of us would have been captured by the humans.”

“Hmph!”

Diyabannersa did not rebut. Without the intervention by the gods, the humans would have destroyed many places.

“Take it out then. That human’s power seems like it is going to be fully depleted soon. We should enter now. Otherwise, we may never get the chance again,” Banchajanna started rushing his companions.

Diyabannersa nodded, and a colorful radiance, which was rarely seen in the death dimension, shot out from his pitch black eye orbitals. A thick scepter appeared in Diyabannersa’s hand, and he then began reading the motto on the scepter.

“Truth, is the essence of this world. Lies, are the reality of this world. Absurdity, is the laughter of this world. In the name of Shanglan, these three abilities will be bestowed upon you.”

The colorful light faded, and the scepter in Diyabannersa’s hand split into three. It had lost its original appearance by now.

“Thank you, Shanglan, for bestowing the power of truth upon me.” Diyabannersa might have said this, but his tone was obviously one of hatred. The three kings had abilities which exceeded those of the other kings, all because a man named Shanglan had helped them. However, the three of them were inseparable from the scepter, and if Shanglan was resurrected, he would return to enslave them again.

“Thank you, Shanglan, for bestowing the power of lies upon me,” Judikaka said sincerely. However, he was holding onto the Scepter of Lies, so his words were quite dubious.

“Thank you, Shanglan, for bestowing the power of absurdity upon me.” Banchajanna’s tone seemed like he was at a loss for what to do.

“Okay, with these three scepters, we will not be afraid of the restraints by the contract anymore. Other than Shanglan, it will not be possible for any other human to know about this. Let’s hurry. That summoning array is going to disappear soon,” Judikaka urged.

Daniel was still desperately trying to summon death creatures. This time around, he was extremely fatigued. Despite summoning more than one thousand spirits, he still had not stopped.

This was because most of the spirits were on the verge of death and could not be saved. Otherwise, his summoning limit was usually only around ten creatures. After wasting a huge amount of power, all Daniel had obtained in return were some useless corpses. Once they died, they would be sent back to the death dimension immediately, and Daniel would not even be able to obtain any materials.

Just as Daniel grew depressed, the green death flames with a radius of one hundred meters began expanding in an explosive manner. Before the black passageway closed, there was an extremely vigorous, powerful vibration. Following that, three tall death creatures appeared in front of Daniel. He did not even manage to see how these three spirits walked out of the black passageway.

“Human, were you the one summoning us?” Judikaka pointed his scepter at Daniel, and spoke in the human language which he had memorized.

Luckily, there had still been death creatures who had been summoned onto the human plane all these years. As a king, Judikaka understood everything. Now, his memory had come in handy, having spoken perfectly in human words.

Daniel was aghast. Judikaka had actually used human language to speak to him, and not death language. Furthermore, Judikaka had taken the initiative to speak to him, so Judikaka must have possessed an extremely high level of intelligence. Furthermore, the three spirits were clad in very powerful equipment, unlike an impoverished spirit like the winged skeleton.

Furthermore, these three men were undamaged, completely unlike the previously summoned creatures.

Seeing that Daniel was not answering, Diyabannersa slammed the Scepter of Truth against the ground forcefully and bellowed, “Human, even though we have answered your summons, you should not slight a king!”

“King?” Daniel nearly fainted from joy. There were different classes in the death dimension, and a king was the most powerful of them all. Daniel’s last attempt had actually summoned three spirit kings!

“Of course, we are the kings who rule over the billions of spirits. If you are not satisfied, please allow us to go back.” Banchajanna surveyed Daniel, and realized that Daniel was truly weak. If not for the help of the three scepters, the three fellows would not have been able to traverse through such high level death flames.

Daniel swallowed, and an evil thought emerged in his mind. If he commanded these three kings to kill everyone around him, then everyone’s wealth would be his.

This thought had just flashed in his mind when Daniel saw Saleen’s gaze. Saleen smiled at Daniel. That gaze held a complicated message, but Daniel understood what Saleen meant. At that moment, Daniel felt as if a bucket of water had been poured over him, causing him to become sober.

Daniel had signed a contract with Saleen. If he really did so, his soul would be completely incinerated.

“Honorable kings, I have a favor to ask of you.” The person speaking was not Daniel, it was Saleen. Saleen’s eyes were filled with ruthlessness. Those three spirits could not have been summoned by Daniel. That last explosion from the death flames had obviously come from the other end of the summoning passageway.

In other words, it could be said that the three kings had summoned Daniel.

Diyabannersa was fuming. At the very least, it had been the yellow-haired man who had summoned them. What was a child doing here? This child actually wanted to command them as well! Diyabannersa pointed his scepter at Saleen, and was about to punish this weak human mage.

“Honorable kings, I think you need our help,” Saleen replied calmly, detecting Diyabannersa’s fury. However, Nailisi was extremely nervous. She leaned towards Saleen, afraid that the spirit would try to kill Saleen out of the blue.

Diyabannersa glanced at Nailisi suspiciously. This woman did not seem like human. However, his spirit eyes could see that this woman had a human soul, so he felt that he had made a mistake. With the Scepter of Truth in hand, his spirit eyes would not make any errors.

“Mage, how did you know that?” Judikaka did not bother beating about the bush with Saleen. This human was very smart to be able to see through his intentions. But it did not matter, because smart people would always opt for cooperation. And as for that death mage, hehe, let him continue being ignorant. At least a grade-10 mage was required in order to summon a king-class spirit.

“Of course I know. I also know that there was a war between your plane and the abyssal plane.” Saleen did not use the term “planar chaos”. He tried his best to describe things using vague terms.

“We cannot interfere in such a war. It is just that it is a relatively simpler thing to enlist our help,” Saleen said solemnly.

The mages from Sregl Island looked as though they had been turned to stone. They had more experience than Saleen, so they also knew that it was impossible for a mage like Daniel to have summoned these three king-class spirits.

Judikaka was intrigued by this tiny mage named Saleen. How had Saleen managed to deduce this? Since Judikaka was the most strategic out of the three kings, he was the one who made the decisions, so he pondered for a moment, and then said to Saleen, “Mage, a war has indeed erupted in the death dimension, and it is very vexing. Coincidentally, we saw that a person was using a summoning spell, so we decided to take a look in the human plane. Anyway, the war will last for at least ten thousand years. Since the rest of them love to fight so much, then let them be. We are more interested in pursuing the meaning of life.”

Noticing that Saleen had a look of suspicion on his face, Judikaka really wanted to cast a death spell at Saleen and cause him to decompose into a skeleton. However, if he were to do that without being commanded by the death mage, it would expose the fact that they were not restrained by the rules. Gods existed in this plane, and if the gods learned about this, the outcome could be terrible. The humans had dared to resist the gods, but spirits did not.

As Judikaka thought about this, he tried to emphasize his point by sighing as a human did, and said, “The three of us have hit a plateau in the death dimension, so we thought of trying our luck in the human plane. If you do not believe us, I cannot do anything about it.”

Judikaka’s words were not entirely false. Due to the restraints by the scepter, the three of them could only progress according to the methods set by that human who had given them the scepters. Back in the death dimension, they had no longer been able to find a path of further advancement after reaching the grade of a king. If they could learn something which was related to that person, it was possible that they could break the limitations of the king’s grade and become demigods in the death dimension.

If the three of them could progress in the human plane without being discovered by the gods, then there was also a chance that they could become real gods as well. No matter the rules, a true god would be able to revoke their status as a spirit, and so they would not restricted under the rules of the death dimension any longer.

“Excellent. The mage who summoned all of you was Daniel, but Daniel is my follower. Now, we have run into some trouble, so we require help from the three kings. Can you tell me your names?”

Saleen spoke very forcefully. He knew that even if these three men were not under Daniel’s control, they would need to pretend that they were. Such a deduction was a bit risky, but if these three men were not restrained by any form of rules, then they would not give a hoot no matter what attitude Saleen had.

The three kings were simply too powerful. Even if they were restrained by the rules of the plane, they still possessed level-9 abilities. In the death dimension, the three men might have been close to grade-10, or they might even have been grade-10 already.

Given the difference in power between Saleen and the three kings, the three kings would not even need to speak to Saleen if they had not been under any restraint at all. They would have only needed to cast any death spell and the world would be cleansed.

Judikaka was a little upset. Humans were indeed cunning creatures, and that rendered Judikaka helpless. However, these humans in front of Judikaka were fairly weak, so their troubles were likely easily resolvable. Thus, Judikaka decided to lend a helping hand. Anyway, this matter was within the boundaries of the rules. It would not be a big deal even if the gods learned about it.

“Mage, tell us your problems. We will solve them for you,” Judikaka spoke in an imposing manner, as though he were gifting Saleen some benefits.

“Very good. We want to capture a grade-8 creature. It should be a piece of cake for you all.”

The three kings heaved a sigh of relief. If they had still needed to fight for their lives in the human plane, then they should not have come over at all. Even if a war broke out in the death dimension, it would be the problem of their subordinates. Unless the three kings came across the abyssal monarch, they would not need to take any action at all. Even though killing a grade-8 creature was not an effortless task, it was not all that challenging for the three kings either.

“Which creature do you want to capture?” Judikaka asked out of caution.

“The lightning dragon.”
