Archer glanced at Aisha and spoke after watching the vision. ''It doesn't show my body, so who knows what happened?''
When the Dragonkin beauty heard this, her blue eyes lit up in relief and concern. ''That's good, I suppose, still horrible to dream about it all the time.''
''Why did no one tell me?''
''I don't know, a mix of worry and not wanting it to come true.''
Archer's eyebrow rose and revealed. ''You do know I've had visions of many things? Even my death?''
Aisha was shocked by the words, but he continued. ''And guess who saves me from most of them?''
''One of us?''
''No. Little Freya, Kela, and a few other children.''
The redhead's eyes went wide, making him chuckle. ''Yes. I've seen her when she was around my age; they're lovely girls who went out of their way to save me. So the death visions don't bother me anymore.''
''Are you scared to die?'' she suddenly asked after the duo went silent.
Archer smiled, not bothered by the thought. ''No, Aisha. I've already died once on Earth and once here when I became the White Dragon. And I doubt Maria will let me perish any more, she'd somehow rebuild me.''
''That's a relief, I've grown used to having you around and would be lost without you.''
''Good, because I'm not going anywhere.''
Following that, the two continued chatting until officials came and took Aisha for a meeting with Elara and Teuila. Once he was alone, he leaned back in the chair, pulling out some Dragon Ale and downing a mouthful. While sitting and relaxing, Ella's annoyed voice echoed in his mind.
'Arch, I've got soem bad news for you,' she said.
'What's up, El?'
'Your mother Larka is falling into her oldself once again,' the Half-Elf revealed. 'I heard her abusing some of the maids in her manor when I went to visit her due to hearing rumors.'
Archer became enraged at this, his fist clenched, and he broke the bottle, causing the glass to pierce his skin. The pain didn't bother him as he internally thought. 'I gave her a damn chance, and she threw it away! People never change!'
Shaking his head, he replied. 'Arrest her, I'll deal with the woman when I get back to Draconia. Gather more evidence so we can dispose of the idiot for good.'
'Will do, my love. Enjoy your getaway.'
'Huh? It's trying to get a ceasefire out of the Alliance,' he replied, confused. 'I have no interest in relaxing around these people.'
The Half-Elf's giggle sounded through his mind. 'I'm messing with you, handsome. I love your confused voice, its cute.'
'Wait until I get back, I'll show you cute,' he growled through the tattoo.
All he heard was Ella's soft laugh before returning to reality as he watched the waves smash against the side of his personal ship. Archer suddenly stood up and wanted to explore the place, thanks to not getting a chance. He strode out of the room, only to end up in a long corridor that stretched across the vessel.
Many private suites were there for the harem, and bathrooms halfway down. Oathkeepers were guarding the ends as maids rushed around tending to their duties. After taking all this in, he began walking toward the staircase to the right, and whenever he passed by the knights, they saluted while the young women bowed.
As he turned the corner, Edith, his white-haired maid wife, appeared, putting a genuine smile on his face before greeting her. ''Edith! I didn't know you'd be here, it's good to see you, beautiful.''
The older woman's face lit up as she suddenly wrapped him in a tight hug. ''Arch! I was coming to see you after I finished sorting out the maids and their duties.''
''Sorry I haven't spent much time with you,'' he responded, playing with her soft white hair.
''Don't worry about, darling. I know you've been busy with the empire and ongoing war,'' Edith reassured. ''I also enjoy my time looking after the princes and princesses.''
''Your children as well.''
''Of course,'' she corrected herelf. ''Our children, they're so spirited and happy.''
''No wonder, as the thirteen gremlins are loved by so many of you, I'm glad they have a lot of mothers to watch over them.''
''Everyone loves every one of those little versions of our husband,'' she said, beaming. ''And they return the affection all the time.''
After that, the two continued chatting about the children before Edith questioned, a curious expression crossing her face. ''What were you doing when we bumped into each other?''
''Exploring my new ship,'' he answered. ''I haven't seen it yet, so I wanted to check it out on the journey to southern Verdantia.''
''Can I give you a tour?'' she offered, blue eyes full of hope.
Archer smiled at this and nodded. ''That would be good.''
The older woman grabbed his arm, leading them toward the stairs, informing him of the deck they were on. ''This is the private hall for you and us to stay in while out to sea, the staircase leads to the floor the Oathkeepers stay on, the one after that is the crew deck.''
''So we're at the bottom?''
''Yes, but Dellah made sure that this part is the most protected part of the entire ship.''
''Oh, that's good then.''
Edith guided him upstairs, where he encountered hundreds of Oathkeepers, Imperial Guards, and other soldiers mingling or standing watch at the entrances. As they ascended, the older woman glanced back and described the upcoming decks. ''The next level after the crew deck is entertainment, complete with a dining area. Above that, there's a deck offering a view of everything around us.''
Archer's curiosity soared as they passed the crew deck, where sailors rushed about while others relaxed in lounges. By the time the duo reached the entertainment deck, it was nicely decorated but not over the top. The staircase let them off into a lounge where some of the off-duty maids were relaxing.
When they saw Edith, their eyes widened in surprise before they bowed, but the older woman waved them away. ''Continue as you were, ladies, I'm giving my husband a tour of the ship,'' she said, a proud smile crossing her face.
Following that, she grabbed his hand and led him toward the dining room. ''Would you like something to eat? I know you've been sleeping since saving Aslan?'' she asked.
''Yes, please,'' Archer replied as the couple stepped into a basic-looking hall.
A dozen tables dotted the room, with the kitchen in one corner, and cooks were busy at work filling metal tubs. A delicious aroma hit his nose, making his stomach grumble. Edith glanced at him, her smile growing wide as she teased. ''Someone needs a good feast; luckily, the food here is delicious.''
After her words, the white-haired beauty ushered him toward the table and made him sit down as she went to get him his food. Archer looked around only to notice maids sitting around eating, causing a thought to run through his mind. 'Why is there so many on here? I'l ask Aisha.'
Just then, Edith's voice sounded from behind. ''This is the first voyage, they're here to clean up the place under Aisha's order.''
Archer turned around to see the older woman pushing a cart full to the brim with food, making his mouth water. She put a dish in front of him, continuing. ''Plus, keeping up with the government officials, Aisha, and the other sisters. It takes a lot of work.''
''Oh, I didn't know.''
Edith giggled. ''Everyone knew this, you're a more hands-on emperor and let us deal with the logistics of everything. We enjoy doing it,'' she explained.
An array of dishes, many of which Archer had introduced to the harem or through the Wyldheart Company, filled the vibrant entertainment deck. The tantalizing aromas of freshly cooked pasta, sizzling hot dogs, juicy burgers, and a diverse selection of culinary delights wafted through the air, creating a feast for the senses.
Tables groaned under the weight of his meal. The lively chatter of Oathkeepers, Imperial Guards, and other soldiers mingled with the clinking of glasses and the hum of excitement. As Archer was trying to choose what to eat first, a familiar voice echoed in his mind. 'Arch! Please, can I join you on this journey?'
It was Alexa. A smile tugged at his lips, and without a moment's pause, he raised his hand, channeling a subtle pulse of magic. In an instant, the navy-haired woman materialized beside him, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. Edith, who had been helping, froze mid-step, her eyes widening at the younger woman's appearance.
The older woman's surprise was fleeting, however, as her face broke into a bright smile. ''Lexi!'' she exclaimed, her voice brimming with warmth and delight. ''It's wonderful to see you here!''
Stepping forward, Edith enveloped Alexa in an embrace; her affection for his first love was obvious in the tight hug.
