Chapter 412: The Dangers of Mana

"Look, I haven't told any of my kids about this, so make sure you don't mention it to them, but I'm actually looking forward to seeing these other women who fell for Richard. I have a feeling we'll all get along. So you see, I'm not surprised by what you told me, but I need to know that this is what you actually want. Don't go into this thinking that it'll be easy. You have to come to terms with the knowledge that Jason will care for others the same way he cares about you. Are you sure about this?"

Gina pressed her hands between her thighs and thought about it for a few seconds. Mira simply stayed silent and waited for Gina to finish thinking, and she saw a small smile appear on Gina's face when Gina finally turned to look back at her. Gina smiled and nodded.

"Yeah, I think it's fine. I really love him, so I'm fine sharing him with Riyala. Besides… I think it's good that he's getting other girls. Jason is a bit too, uhm… he's too much for me to handle sometimes... in bed."

Gina's cheeks burned with an intense blush when she said this, and Mira's face also grew slightly red as she laughed at her daughter-in-law's shyness! Mira laughed when she saw Gina trying to hide her face, and she told Gina not to be shy! Gina wasn't the first person to feel this way at all!

"Now, now, there's no need ot be shy. Hehe... You should have seen me after the first time with Richard. I had to go to the hospital because he fractured my hip. He was so mortified about it, and I just laughed for days! I couldn't even tell the doctor what really happened because it was so embarrassing! Imagine explaining to a doctor that your boyfriend broke your hip while you were having sex."

Both Gina and Mira laughed at this thought, and Gina felt her heart calming down now that she knew Mira was on her side. Gina knew that Mira was a very important part of both her and Jason's life, so Gina would have been really hurt if Mira didn't accept this new relationship. But now that Mira had given them her blessing, Gina felt like she could finally breathe easier. Now all that was left was telling her parents. Gina knew that that would be a lot more complicated!

Mira smiled as she came down from her laughter, and she finally clapped her hands and spoke in an excited voice!

"Well then, since you're sure, there's no need to dwell on it anymore! But I can't believe my little baby is going to get engaged! You said you had a ceremony, right? Was there a ring? Did you have any flowers!?"

Gina beamed as Mira started to ask about the ceremony that she had with Jason in Radagan, and she raised her hands as she showed Mira the tattoo that had formed on her finger after the ceremony!

"We didn't have a ring, but Jason promised he'll get one for me soon! This tattoo formed after we were blessed with fire, and it's so cute! Look!"

Mira came over to look at the tattoo with shining eyes, and she couldn't help but hug Gina in excitement! Mira had always prayed that Jason and Gina would end up together, and she was just so happy that they had finally gotten this far in their relationship! This was everything she ever wanted for them!

"I'll have to get the engagement party ready! We'll need to book a hall and send out invites to guests! Oh, we even need to call your parents and tell them about all this! I'll have to have catering and decorations! Oh, Gina, you're going to make such a beautiful bride."

"Mira, it's just an engagement."

"Oh, hush you, don't you know that engagements are practically weddings these days!? And now that Jason is so rich, we can afford to spend a little more than normal! I'm going to make this the most amazing engagement ever!"

Mira's excitement literally infected Gina, and Gina couldn't help but laugh along with Mira! Gina was really glad that she would be joining Jason's family.

[Jason's Apartment]

'My king, your strokes are stable, but you missed a few lines in the Aruna text. When drawing the rune, you have to consider how much power you can put into it and implement that into the foundation. Here, you didn't put a cap on how much mana can be absorbed by the rune. If you activate this rune, it would immediately disintegrate due to an overload.'

Azrael's voice filtered through Jason's head as Jason stared down at a piece of paper in front of him, and Jason frowned while looking at the area he had misdrawn. Jason was sitting cross-legged on his bed, and he was waiting for Gina to come around. Gina told Jason that she wanted them to stay here together today, but he didn't know what was holding her up. Jason already spoke to Gina a few minutes ago, and she told him that he shouldn't fall asleep and that he should wait. And since Jason didn't want to waste time doing nothing, he decided to draw another rune to pass the time. Jason knew that Runecrafting was a very powerful magical aspect, so he wanted to become as good as possible in creating runes. Right now, Jason was trying to create a special rune called the [Ryonga's Shield]. It was a special rune developed by a famous rune crafter from a world called d'Nuda, many Dimensional Leaps away. His name was Ryonga, and they said that he was one of the greatest crafters of defensive runes in the Primordial Expanse! His runes were so good that some of them were capable of blocking attacks that were unleashed by even the Primordials!

Jason glanced to his side when he saw this notification pop up, and he turned away from it and refocused on the rune he was working on. Jason had been getting notifications from the mission he sent his subordinates and guild members on for a while now, and from what Jason could see, he was sure that they would soon be done with the mission. The Gate that they went into was called the [Diamond Bear Cave], and apparently, it was filled with giant bears with diamond skin that had long nails they used in digging underground tunnels. The bears were difficult to deal with because their diamond skin allowed them to activate some sort of strange camouflage skill, and this gave them almost complete invisibility inside their caves. But thankfully, Jason's subordinates were far more powerful than the bears, so it didn't matter what the bears did since they couldn't harm any of the subordinates! As long as the bears were backed into a corner, it was easy to finish them off.

'They should be finished in about two hours, so I should get another mission for them tomorrow.'

Jason narrowed his eyes at the rune he was working on, and he let out a calm sigh when he realised that he was getting distracted again. Jason had been thinking about a lot of things over the past few days, and the thing that had stayed on his mind the most was his family. Jason knew that he had put a lot of protection around his family. There was almost no chance anyone would be able to get to them without Jason's knowledge. But Jason felt like it wasn't enough. Jason knew that he could do more—especially for his sisters—and he was trying to see if it was a good idea or not. Jason's sisters were Avarans, just like Jason was, so Jason knew that they also had the special attribute that allowed them to grow stronger by consuming the magic crystals of Magical Beasts. But even though Jason knew it was easy to make them grow stronger, Jason also knew that this could be a dangerous thing to do. Possessing mana wasn't just a way for someone to grow stronger; it was also like a beacon that announced to the world that you are different from everyone else.
