[6 Months Later]
Comprehending the Laws is like comprehending a technique.
Two people can have the same technique, but if one's understanding of it is much deeper than the other's, they will surely have more control over it.
Using a skill or technique is not always about having an abundance of spiritual energy to fuel them. Sometimes, it is about understanding the skill.
Everything has its complex mechanisms, and so learning and understanding how they work allows you to easily use them to their fullest potential.
That is what Klaus and his ladies had been doing for the past 6 months.
Attaining High Affinity for Void Law allowed them to see the Void Law. So now that they can see it, they need to understand it and use it to fuel their attacks, create skills and techniques, and even improve or modify their existing skills.
Klaus had already advanced 28 meters, leaving him only 2 meters more to touch the vortex, while his wives had only advanced 20 meters.
Well, Kathy would have long touched the vortex, considering that to her, she was merely relearning what she had learned before.
She was a very good Void user back in the day, so it was merely a routine for her.
However, since she was helping Hanna and Vida, she deliberately slowed herself down. However, if within 6 months her sisters had made this much progress, there is no telling what kind of geniuses they are.
It usually takes most years to make this much progress, but they achieved it in months.
What is even more shocking is that they are much closer to attaining 'Enhanced Void Affinity', something that will make them super powerful. They will be able to store more Void Qi and use it when they leave.
Klaus hovered mere inches off the ground, his eyes closed, his mind open to the void, for knowledge to pour in.
Before his eyes, the same messages kept flooding in every few minutes.
One of the messages kept notifying him how much his understanding kept expanding, while the other announced the number of Void Fragments he kept absorbing.
He noticed that from the start, the amount of Void Fragments was too low to take him to where he wanted to go.
However, as he continued to deepen his understanding of the void law, the amount he could absorb also started to increase. Now, he was only a couple of Void Fragments away from attaining 'Enhanced Void Affinity'.
⟪Your understanding of the void has improved greatly.⟫
⟪You have absorbed 30 Void Fragments.⟫
'Almost there,' Klaus said inwardly as he looked at the messages.
Of course, as his understanding deepened, the 'Void Manipulation' skill was also undergoing some changes. His understanding of the void is what drives that skill, so it started to improve.
A couple of hours later, another message appeared, making him smile.
⟪Congratulations. You have attained 'Enhanced Void Affinity'.⟫
⟪Your passive ability has undergone some changes. A new passive effect has been added.⟫
⟪New Passive Effect⟫
↠ [Void Core Physiology]: You are immune to exhaustion, bleeding, poison, and all non-void elemental damage while inside the void.
Klaus read the new passive effect added to his [Void Heart EX] passive ability, and all he could do was smile.
"This is not too bad for an upgrade. Although I am immune to all this, if I meet an immortal or someone with a much deeper understanding of the void, my life will be in danger."
However, behind the smile, Klaus knew flashy skills like this had side effects.
One thing about immunity is that there are always things that can render it useless.
Take Kathy's Void Rune, for example. If Klaus has immunity to all physical void attacks, Kathy's void rune will still hurt him, and if the attack can kill, then he will die.
So Klaus wasn't too pumped for this effect.
If anything, he is now more determined to raise his affinity and understanding of the void much higher so that even if his affinity cannot help him, his understanding will come in handy.
"My Void manipulation skill had already reached the 'Legendary' Rank." Klaus chose not to focus on that just yet, simply because he had something else he must handle first.
His focus now is to handle the void crystal. But first, he turned to his wives and saw that they were still knee-deep in their cultivation.
'I will reward them later'
Klaus took the void crystal and studied it for a few moments.
'Icon, how do you suppose the knowledge will come?' Klaus asked. The last thing he wants is to be sent to a domain of eternal damnation where his mind will struggle to comprehend what is happening.
He may have 450 brains, but that isn't an open invitation to risk his mind.
⟪I have no idea how it will happen. However, the masters should rest assured I will protect his mind and make sure no harm comes to him⟫
'That is reassuring, Icon. In any case, I am ready now.
Klaus had touched the vortex, and so he knew he could toss the crystal in. He remained in the lotus posture, hovering inches off the ground as he tossed the void crystal into the vortex.
However, nothing happened even a few seconds after he tossed it.
'Weird, did I do it wrong?' Klaus wondered. However, nothing else happened for 5 good minutes, making him think the void crystal might be faulty or that he had tossed it into the wrong vortex.
Suddenly, Klaus sensed a pull on his mind, and before he knew it, he was in a different place.

[Strange World]
A man stood atop a tall mountain overlooking a large void crack that had appeared in the sky. The crack is dark and sinister, releasing a potent aura. A feeling of despair hung in the dark aura emanating from it.
If one with a weak will were to stand where the man stood, they would feel their backs break into a cold sweat and perhaps even lose their minds over how sinister the aura felt.
However, the 5-meter-tall giant of a man stood calmly, hands crossed on his chest as he paid close attention to the crack.
"It wouldn't be long now," He muttered, a faint sigh escaping his lips.
He turned and looked down the mountain where thousands of people, mostly giants like him, kept going about their work,
Paying close attention, one can see they are all moving against time to accomplish what they have set their sight on.
After watching this depressing yet beautiful sight for a while, he turned his gaze and looked at four more places as if he was staring at someone or a group of someones.
After a few minutes, he turned away and looked toward the path that led to the mountain.
There, a 2-meter-tall handsome young man slowly made his way up the mountain. When the man saw him, he smiled.
"Took you long enough, Kael."
The young man looked at the tall man and tried to speak. However, he is out of breath to even speak. So he took his time catching his breath before speaking.
"Not every Nihorathian is monstrous like you, dad."
King Velarion smiled, "That is true, son, after all, not every Nihorathian is a Celestial like me. However, as a demigod, don't you think panting for breath after climbing a mountain makes you weak?"
Kael smirked and turned to look at the crack...
