Chapter 744: Pirates Are Here!

Swoosh! Swoosh!

Through the air, two figures moved with such speed that it was hard to tell whether they were human or some other kind of creature.

BANG! BANG!

Whenever their attacks collided, sparks flew in all directions, and the sound resembled that of thunderstorms clashing.

Renette whipped her leg down. Big Maestro blocked it with his fat arm. However, Renette was too quick for him and swung her other leg up, landing a solid kick to his chin.

His teeth flew out of his mouth, cascading to the ground like shattered glass, and Big Maestro slowly fell back to the icy ground.

"King Rederic, go help him!"

Ethan ordered.

"As you wish, sir!"

King Rederic hopped into the air, and under his feet, a gigantic-winged bird appeared that resembled that of a phoenix.

In his left hand, a spear appeared, and with his bulging muscles, he hurled it through the air.

Renette's wings tightened, blocking the spear, and as it harmlessly ricocheted elsewhere, King Rederic suddenly disappeared and appeared alongside the spear with his fingers wrapped around its shaft.

The spear started sparkling with golden lightning.

"You wench, the world does not need you around anymore. You should've stayed at the depths of the Downed Prison or died instead!"

He clashed the spear with the wings, and Renette just looked at him with an unyielding gaze.

"I told the Prison Wardens many times. You should kill me. They didn't, as they treated me as a prize instead of a prisoner.

"They had Immortal as their prisoner.

"I bet whenever they were sitting around a poker table with their friends, they kept bragging all about it.

"A big mistake, and now that I have finally tasted the sweet air of freedom, I will never go back!"

Renette's kick came like a sledgehammer to the stomach and sent King Rederic flying through the icy ground below.

She crossed her arms, closed her round eyes, and spread her wings wide like that of a peacock.

In that moment, the wings fired several of the feathers, which were as hard as steel, and they tore through the air.

They pierced through the navy soldiers below, leaving corpses behind, and that gave the criminals a little more breathing room.

"How hard can it be to bring down a weakened Immortal?"

Ethan asked angrily, turned to the last Admiral behind him, and thought about saying something but then decided otherwise.

Instead, he turned away from Karl-Michael, who kept standing with a confused expression on his face.

'What's that about?'

Karl-Michael wondered.

Ethan thought about sending him to fight Renette next but decided otherwise, because Karl-Michael was actually his rival.

He knew that the government considered Karl-Michael as the next Fleet Admiral, but eventually he managed to get the position because of his connections.

If Karl-Michael brought down Immortal Killer of the Red Sun, it would boost his popularity among the masses.

'I guess I have to do it!'

Ethan thought.

"Fine, I will do it myself. Karl-Michael, keep an eye on the troops, and if there is a need to intervene, go help them!"

He said, and stepped towards the edge of the deck.

"Sir, do you think it is wise? Let King Rederic and Big Maestro handle it."

Karl-Michael said.

"I am Fleet Admiral of the Navy, and I will not shrink before a weakened Immortal!"

Ethan shouted, and he jumped down from the ship.

The eyes of the navy soldiers turned to him, and looks of admiration came into all of their faces.

"Fleet Admiral is joining the battle!"

"Yeah!"

The navy soldiers raised their swords high and cheered loudly.

It increased their morale even further.

Ethan landed on the icy ground, and under him, black grass blades sprouted with every step he took.

Around him, a small forest started to take shape with its black trees, branchless and twisted, reaching up towards the dark sky.

"Do not worry, my men, I am here!"

Ethan waved his hand, and several tree roots emerged from the ground and stabbed wounded navy soldiers in the back.

Instead of them hurting them, it started to slowly heal their wounds, and they could feel the pain ebbing away as the roots worked their magic.

"Amazing…"

"I am healed!"

"This is Fleet Admiral Blackforest's power!"

Ethan just smirked at their worshipping faces, and with chin held high in pride, he started making his way to Renette.

Renette hovered high in the air, looking down at the newly created black forest that just kept expanding across the icy battlefield.

"You're the new Fleet Admiral? That's cute, but you're no match for me."

Renette said coldly.

"Says who? You're about to find out just how wrong you are."

Ethan said with a grin, and as he raised his arm high, the tree roots shot out from the ground and headed towards Renette.

The sharp-pointed roots surrounded Renette like a swarm of swords and blades, as if there were an army of swordsmen around her.

Renette turned around and started spinning with the wings cutting through the black roots, slicing them into pieces with each rotation.

She was spinning like a beyblade.

The cut-down black roots harmlessly fell to the ground.

Ethan touched one of the black trees and expanded the black fortress further, making the trees taller and thicker like skyscrapers.

The black forest even reached the criminals and the navy, who were in the midst of fighting, and they had to resume fighting amidst the dark, suffocating canopy.

"Within the black forest, I am the God!"

Ethan shouted with a laugh.

"Are you now?"

In that moment, a chilling voice came from one of the branches of the trees, and it was a voice that Ethan recognized quite well.

"…Impossible."

Ethan turned around, and as he saw the man sitting on the branch, his heart dropped to the bottom of his stomach.

"What are you doing here, Mauricio?"

"I heard the navy was having a party without us. Of course, we pirates had to crash it!"

Mauricio Krakenbane, one of the legendary Pirate Emperors of the sea, said with a big smile.

"We pirates? There are more…?"

Ethan asked with a shaky gaze.

"Haha, well, yes!"

Mauricio grinned.

"Unbelievable…"

Karl-Michael stood at the deck of the frozen ship, looking at the distance, where the mountain-sized walls were smashed apart by a fleet of ships.

A fleet of ships carrying pirate flags reached the icy battlefield and dropped their anchor to the bottom of the sea.

There were close to a hundred pirate ships!

"Pirates of the Pirate Kingdom… How did they find out about what is going on here? The navy has a traitor…"

Karl-Michael's eyes turned cold.
