Pillar of Yita

Chapter 56: "You May Not Believe It But It Flew_3

He instinctively looked into the snowstorm, fearing in his heart that the opponent's Elementalist might interrupt his spell again.

But fortunately, not this time.

A golden light shot out from the Elemental Staff in his hand. Seeing this golden light, Blood Wings felt resolved, and then he looked up ahead, releasing a sigh of relief for the first time: "Finally made it!"

...

But amidst the cold wind, Luo Yu had long stopped focusing on the battle.

After receiving Fang Hong's orders, the young man simply put down the Elemental Staff in his hand, helped up the Magical Conductor youth on the ground, took out a blanket, and wrapped it around him. "Luo Yu," he introduced himself sullenly, before turning back to ask: "What is going on with you guys?"

He actually wasn't that concerned; it was just Fang Hong who asked him to do so.

The youth was already bruised and battered, his face a purplish black and shivering with cold, but he still managed to nod slightly: "Uncrowned Crown, that's my ID, thank you..." He looked into the snowstorm, unable to suppress his concern for the safety of the little girl.

But he opened his mouth, unable to speak for a moment.

He thought for a moment before asking: "Are you people from Silver Weslan...?"

Luo Yu shook his head.

Uncrowned Crown was somewhat surprised. Of course, he knew about the Silver Weslan Princess and when he heard the name Sophie, he intuitively thought it was Silver Weslan's Youth Training Group.

Only those people could beat the Ragnarok guys to such a state.

However, he found it odd, as the top ten guilds in the country at least maintained a facade of peace, especially during the rest period after a season. The two sides had clashed without even a polite greeting, and seemingly it was the Ragnarok people who made the first move.

Could it be that Silver Weslan and Ragnarok had already declared war without him knowing?

And the answer from the other side seemed to surprise him even more.

"We are the Seven Seas Brigade." Luo Yu replied, without deliberately hiding—since the moment Fang Hong established the group, it meant that this new Adventure Group no longer walked in the shadows but had a legitimate identity.

After all, the brigade's identity was clearly recorded in Golande, so there was no need to hide it.

What they truly concealed was the affair with Fenris's group, which had nothing to do with this adventure group now.

"Seven Seas Brigade?"

Uncrowned Crown thought for a long time, but could not find a corresponding name. But when he turned back to look, Luo Yu was no longer responding to his words, only looking toward a direction in the snow.

"What are you looking at?" the youth asked curiously.

If he wasn't mistaken, that was clearly the direction outside the valley, where there was no one—

But Luo Yu shook his head, having a strange feeling of seeing a figure there.

...

"Brother Ade, I'm out of Mana..."

Gita set down the book in her hands, wiped the sweat off her forehead, only to find a handful of ice shards.

Fang Hong looked a little sympathetic as he watched this scene, gently patting the little girl's head, indicating for her to go hide at the back for a while. In this battle, where they were outnumbered, they relied on Gita's spell, the Natural Historian's Chapter of the Harsh Winter had enormous effects in these weather conditions.

While it might not have destructive power, after doubling the snowstorm in the valley, the opponent's visibility dropped to the extreme, especially since the Natural Historian's spell was one-way transparent to their own side.

The outcome was self-evident in this give and take.

Though not a direct boost to combat power, the reason why the Natural Historian, especially an excellent one, was called a Domain Spellcaster was not without reason.

Silver Weslan's Princess was walking back from the front, her hair full of snow, "Someone is coming from the front." She gave a reminder before turning around, and as if to confirm her words, a vague shadow appeared in the snow not long after.

The figure seemed flustered, crashing through the snowstorm hurriedly, arriving in front of the three.

The person evidently didn't expect there to be people here, being slightly taken aback at seeing them, and then showing a look of terror. Fang Hong found it rather amusing upon recognizing the person—it was the Alchemist causing trouble.

And that young man, upon seeing Fang Hong and the metallic glove facing him, retreated a step in fright, almost falling on his backside into the snow. Then he turned to notice the nearby Silver Weslan Little Princess and Gita.

When he saw Sophie, he hesitated for a moment—since he realized he hadn't seen this girl before on the platform.

But after a moment's hesitation, a slight envy stirred in him.

He of course now realized that the person before him was the captain of this adventure group, and the group had an abundance of beauties, with Miss Ship's Officer leaving a lingering impression, and the one before him was no less stunning.

Each had their own merits.

But after looking at Silver Weslan's Princess a couple more times, he suddenly realized something, widening his eyes. The Alchemist pointed at Sophie like he'd seen some prehistoric creature, stammering:

"You, you, you... you are..."

"What's with me?"

Sophie found it amusing, knowing full well what mischief this Alchemist had been up to before. Seeing his expression, it seemed he'd recognized her, which she found rather interesting.

But just as she asked this question, a soft 'click' was heard.

Turning her head, she saw Fang Hong raise his eyebrow, lifting the metallic glove, making a peculiar gesture.

"What's this person up to?"

He muttered to himself.

Only then did Sophie feel the ground far away tremble slightly.

...

Dark Fairy Tale drew the bow, launching an Entangling Arrow, and the next moment sensed something amiss.

Because the communication channel was eerily silent, there was neither Blood Wings' voice of relief or joy, nor the sound of any screams, just a dull roar and a slight tremor on the ground.

Nearby snow on the rocks fell to the ground in clumps.

Did the Construct fall?

He turned his head, and in another direction amidst the snowstorm, Ville wore a similarly puzzled look, seemingly seeing something that left him bewildered, standing up from a crouched position as if bewitched, not even noticing the Great Shield dropping from his hand into the snow.

"Ville, what are you doing!?"

Dark Fairy Tale couldn't help but shout.

Seeing the warrior stiffly turn his head, pointing in one direction in the snowstorm, struggling to open his mouth:

"It..."

"What about it? Did that thing fall?" Dark Fairy Tale asked loudly.

"No," Ville looked extremely exasperated: "It, it flew up..."
