Wizard: I Can Refine Everything

Chapter 48: Supreme Puppet Core

After seeing Carlo off, Lar skillfully returned to the laboratory.

After Richard confirmed his identity had been exposed, he dissolved the Destiny Contract between himself and Lar. However, their relationship became even closer due to the dissolution of the contract.

Tree Spirits are a very peculiar race.

Theoretically, the Lar in front of Richard is merely a part of the Tree Spirit. A complete Tree Spirit should be Lar and the World Tree he currently resides in.

The Tree Spirit Clan, true to their name, formed from the World Tree gaining spirit.

Such a wonderful form of life made Richard feel deeply curious. Lar, being a steadfast individual, made a deal with Richard to be used as research material.

In return, Richard offered him repeated evolution.

The evolution road of Tree Spirits is distinct from the conventional evolution of the World Tree, as well as the standard Physique Evolution.

The evolution road of Tree Spirits advances along the Bloodline path, but almost does not require the interference of Rules.

For a Tree Spirit to evolve, they only need to constantly develop their bloodline and follow the direction of their mother body—the Great World Tree.

Of course, all of this is based on the premise that the Tree Spirit must have a world.

Without a world, the Tree Spirit will be permanently stuck as a Level 3 Creature, unable to move.

However, in the Star Realm, worlds are not scarce. If necessary, large Secret Realms can suffice.

The number of Tree Spirits who have become World Masters is quite limited, so worlds as resources aren't particularly rare.

Entering the laboratory, Lar asked a question that had been on his mind earlier.

"Sir, there's no need for such trouble if you want to meet the Great World Tree. You merely need to show your strength, and the Great World Tree will definitely meet you."

"But what would be the point of such a meeting?" Richard glanced at him, calmly responding.

"What I want is a private meeting with the World Tree; a ostentatious meeting is no different than not meeting at all."

"Hmm?"

Lar found it difficult to understand Richard's reasoning.

Richard did not explain. He had not been solely focused on experiments these days.

Using his avatar, he had gained a thorough understanding of the Natural Federation.

Within the Natural Federation, apart from the Tree Spirit Clan, the other four clans are split into two factions: the Mechanical Clan and Tide Spirit Clan on one side, and the Ghost Horror Clan and Winged People Clan on the other.

The conflicts between these two factions revolve around differences in direction and have accumulated from past disputes.

The two factions hold sharp disagreements on the issue of the Curse Demon Empire.

The Tide Spirit Clan and Mechanical Clan believe the Natural Federation should seize this time to recuperate and restart world exploration. The Ghost Horror Clan and Winged People Clan, however, are firm advocates of war.

They argue for a preemptive strike, attacking the Curse Demon Empire while they are in truce, thus gaining the initiative and potentially defeating them.

This strategy dispute stems not only from the personalities of the Dominators but also from the accumulated tensions of war.

The long war has caused the Ghost Horror Clan, needing biological corpses for evolution, to grow rapidly in strength. Meanwhile, the Winged People Clan, responsible for logistics, have their logistic troops handling nearly all material transport on battlefields.

Being the weakest of the five clans, the Winged People Clan naturally does not wish for the war to end.

In contrast, due to the difficulties of expanding their numbers, the Mechanical Clan, with every core clan member's death being a loss, despise civilization warfare, and the Tide Spirit Clan, although strong, inherently dislike conflict and cannot sustain war like the Ghost Horror Clan; naturally, they do not wish for war.

In this situation, the attitude of the Tree Spirit Clan becomes crucial.

In the recent period, the Great World Tree has leaned towards the peace faction, which has prevented the war from breaking out.

What Richard seeks is to make the Great World Tree completely side with the peace faction, thus extinguishing the rekindling of war between the Natural Federation and the Curse Demon Empire.

War with the Civilization Devourer has already left that creature stuffed and slobbering. It cannot be given war as sustenance any further.

With that thought, Richard took out the Crystal Creation Carlo had just delivered from his pocket.

The moment his fingers touched the Crystal Creation, the Miracle Furnace provided information.

[Raw Material: Supreme Puppet Core]

[Extractable Information: Supreme Dominator Core Design Map]

[Refining Consumption: 1000 spiritual power]

[Extractable Technique: Construct Casting Technique]

[Refining Consumption: 500 spiritual power]

"Supreme Puppet Core... should be said that it indeed belongs to one of the three civilizations with the highest technological power, right?" Richard sighed softly.

In the previous civilization, the three different civilizations all had their strengths in various aspects. In terms of war machinery technology, the Supreme was undoubtedly the first.

Even now, the Furnace Man Army and Titan Legion that the Civilization Devourer uses—most of their equipment are largely creations of Supreme technology.

The King of Titans once mentioned to him that if the Supreme hadn't risen in the shortest time with the weakest foundation, perhaps just one civilization of Supreme could stand against the Civilization Devourer.

Richard chose not to extract the design map, as his spiritual power had only just recovered to the Dominator level, around six hundred spiritual power.

The cost of extracting the design map was temporarily unaffordable for him.

However, though the design map couldn't be extracted, he had enough power to extract the technique.

Richard had always been curious about the Supreme's Alchemy Techniques, but over the years, he had never encountered extractable techniques.

Now, he could finally witness it.

The refining speed was fast. The technique named Construction Body Casting Technique was extracted within half an hour.

Richard integrated it into his body, but strangely, this time he saw nothing.

This time, everything in the vision was blurred, as if shrouded in a thick fog, making it impossible to see anything clearly.

This was the first time Richard had encountered such a situation.

After a long time, the fog dissipated, but the vision also faded away, leaving Richard seeing nothing, only feeling he had inexplicably learned something.

He raised his hand, and the energy in the void began to converge, along with the free elements in the air, into the energy model in his hand.

In the energy model, the free elements resonated with the energy and subsequently transformed into tiny crystals. The crystals then spread, connecting with each other, and in a moment, a Supreme Crystal the size of a fingernail appeared in Richard's hand.

Richard placed the crystal before his eyes, and under the illumination of light, it refracted a myriad of colors.

"Remarkable technique," Richard murmured softly.

This technique called Construction Body Casting Technique essentially relies on energy and elements to form stable structures, thereby achieving the effect of turning enchantments into material characteristics. The Giant Dragon Alchemy used by giant dragons is merely a simplified version of this technique.

Materials created through this technique render all enchantment techniques ineffective.

After all, you can't take away a material's fundamental properties.

But unfortunately, this technique is too difficult and too complicated.

At first glance, this technique is clearly prepared for a specific race, and without specific racial talents, it's nearly impossible for ordinary races to learn this technique.

Even Richard, if he hadn't refined the technique, would have taken a considerable amount of time to master it.

Richard brought that core before him, the complex structures inside resembling an endless mirrored maze.

"If the technique is so remarkable, I wonder how powerful the design map would be."

Thinking of this, Richard casually waved his hand, and a Dimension Rift appeared in the air, behind which a mist that seemed capable of seizing souls was poised to invade the Star Realm through the rift.

This was a dimension Richard had recently discovered, called the Enchanting Soul Dimension.

This dimension was filled with the eternal Soul Stealing Mist, within which countless life souls wandered. These souls couldn't find their way home and could only live in the mist until their soul structures collapsed, becoming part of the eternal mist, or were hunted by the natives of the Enchanting Soul Dimension, becoming someone else's meal.

Of course, the mist's effects on a Dominator like Richard were no different from ordinary fog.

And the dimension natives—the Mist Spirits, and those souls captured by the Soul Stealing Mist, for Richard, were just moving sources of Soul Essence.

"Lar, I'm going out for a while. Let me know if there's any news."

"No problem, sir."

...

Tree Spirit Mother World.

The towering World Tree stood majestically like a Heavenly Pillar. After countless years, the bark of the Great World Tree had turned into stone-like skin.

From a distance, the tree trunk, like a heavenly pillar, was indistinguishable from a mountain.

In the midst of this mountain-like landscape, many tree elves moved about.

These tree elves resembled some kind of bee, but their bodies were more slender, and their wings larger.

They were the Clan of the Great World Tree, responsible for taking care of the Great World Tree and maintaining the World Root System.

"Mister Ben."

On a section of protruding branch of the World Tree. Spirit Medicine Saint Carlo slightly swayed the branch towards a tree elf.

The tree elf bowed in response.

"Master Carlo, are you here to visit the master?"

"Yes."

"Then your timing may not be ideal. The master just had an argument with Master Youming from the Ghost Horror Clan, so the mood might not be great right now."

"Master Youming?" Carlo's eyes on the branch slightly furrowed.

"Did he come to persuade the Mother Tree to start a war again?"

"I suppose so."

Hearing this, two leaves silently fell from Carlo's crown.

"Isn't a peaceful life any good? This war has dragged on for five thousand years. After finally getting some peace, some still want to reignite the flames of war."

The war between the Natural Federation and the Curse Demon Empire was not continuous over the past fifty thousand years. Their conflicts had been intermittent.

The Curse Demon Empire would wage war periodically. This particular conflict had lasted nearly five thousand years, the longest since the birth of the Natural Federation.

And also the most dangerous.

If not for the abrupt cessation of war by the Curse Demons, the Natural Federation would have had to bring the physical form of the Great World Tree to the front line.

"The Ghost Horror Clan is just like that," the tree elf whispered.

Carlo waved the branch, stating, "Let the Mother Tree be angry. Take me to see her. I have good news this time that should cheer her up.",
