The Exorcism Began in America.

Chapter 243: Fake?

Watching the dozens of oddly-shaped demons before him, Decas's eyes twitched slightly.

He hadn't expected that even with Losack's reputation, there would still be demons who believed in him.

What had become of Hell?

How had these naive creatures survived until now?

"Hurry up, all of you, get inside the Array!"

"This is an Array I learned from a superior. It can definitely bring you safely to another world!"

"See this guy here? He just returned from the Human World, and his aura is much stronger!"

Losack prattled on incessantly, occasionally pointing at Decas as if to prove something.

"Good, let's start quickly!"

One of the demons, grotesque with misshapen horns and lacking a nose, stepped forward. He looked up at the other world above, his tone impatient, yet his eyes brimmed with greed.

Decas and Losack exchanged glances, a hint of mockery flashing in their eyes simultaneously.

"Not to rush you, but where's my payment?" Losack stretched out his claw-like hand directly.

"Your payment is here! But..." Three Crystal Stones, flickering with dazzling red light, instantly appeared in the palm of the misshapen-horned demon, but he grasped them tightly.

"But what?" Losack asked.

Looking at the two Crystal Stones in the demon's hand, both Decas and Losack's eyes suddenly lit up.

"We need to test it first!" The misshapen demon grabbed a trembling Hell Creature and threw it in front of Losack.

"Ah... of course!" Losack's expression faltered for a moment, then he nodded as if everything was normal.

He picked up the Hell Creature from the ground and tossed it into the center of the Array on the floor.

Meanwhile, Decas had already prepared to make a run for it.

Though these fools looked crippled, their demonic essences were undeniably real!

If luck didn't favor them next, he wouldn't blame himself for fleeing fast!

He didn't want to end up in a lake of lava, remade, just because of a simple scam...

As Losack activated the Array, a surge of red light shot up into the sky, carrying the Hell Creature straight towards the heavens.

It must make it across! Decas and Losack watched the creature's body closely, ready to flee at any moment.

Amidst the red light, the Hell Creature rose higher and higher, soon approaching the boundary between the two worlds.

It was unknown if this was the Demon God's Blessing.

Compared to other Hell Creatures that occasionally exploded, the one inside the red light seemed to pass through the deadly zone smoothly and unharmed. It was as if the red light truly possessed some protective power.

Demon God bless! Demon God bless... Wonderful! After witnessing the Hell Creature safely reach the Human World, Losack screamed inwardly in ecstasy, though his face showed an air of nonchalance.

What a damned bastard! Decas, who had breathed a sigh of relief, looked at Losack's calm expression and was suddenly reminded of an unpleasant memory.

Losack's face remained serene as he stretched out his hand again. "Payment!"

"Here you are. Let's get started!" Seeing the experiment succeed, the misshapen demon didn't dally and promptly threw the three Crystal Stones to Losack.

Under his lead, all the demons gathered at the center of the vast Array, looking up at the world above, their faces filled with anticipation and greed.

"Farewell then, everyone!" Losack's face broke into a smile as he activated the Array once more. He watched as dozens of demons were enveloped by the red glow and lifted into the sky, his eyes shimmering with an unusual light.

Would they be as lucky as the last one?

The red light rapidly ascended. Within moments, the demons inside had already reached the precipice of the death zone.

"Human World, here we come! HAHAHA..."

The next second, as an invisible spatial turbulence flashed by, most of the demons within the red light instantly vanished!

The sudden calamity left the remaining demons staring, dumbfounded.

In an instant, the demons who had figured everything out looked behind them and shivered in unison!

"Damn it... that bastard!"

Back in Hell, Losack looked at the other world above his head and smiled faintly. "Goodbye, lucky ones!"

He turned his head, only to see Decas staring intently at the Crystal Stones in his hand, eyes filled with greed.

"Decas, I've already given you your compensation. These Flame Demon Stones have nothing to do with you!" Losack hurriedly clutched the three Flame Demon Stones tightly in his palm and quickly stepped back.

He was acutely aware of how tempting these Flame Demon Stones were to Decas, whose power was at the stage of Advancement.

To avoid trouble, it was best to leave this place as soon as possible.

"So... Decas, we'll meet again later!" Losack flapped the bat-like wings on his back and turned to leave.

But Decas, holding the Flame Spear, blocked his path with a swift movement and spoke slowly. "Please wait a moment, Losack! I think... one of those three Flame Demon Stones should belong to me!"

The greed in Decas's eyes made Losack's expression suddenly turn grim.

"Hmph. Decas... do you really think I'm afraid of you, you fool?"

With a wave of his hand, accompanied by a surge of blood-red energy, a long, dark chain appeared before him in the blink of an eye.

"If I hadn't wanted to toy with you, did you think... you would have the right to speak to me as an equal?"

The chain twisted and writhed like a black serpent, ready to strike its enemy at any moment.

"How is that possible? You've Advanced?" Seeing Losack's greatly changed aura, Decas froze on the spot.

Losack, on the other hand, spread his palm to show Decas the three Flame Demon Stones flickering with red light.

"Hmph. You want these?" He picked up a Flame Demon Stone, waved it in front of Decas, and sneered. "You fool, did you never wonder why I chose to cooperate with you? Haha, of course, it's because you're an idiot!"

Decas's eyes turned bloodshot as he stared at the demon before him, his teeth grinding. Despite his fury, the disparity in strength between them kept him from acting rashly.

Losack tossed a Flame Demon Stone in his hand and then threw one into his mouth.

CRUNCH.

After the crisp shattering sound, Losack's face suddenly contorted.

"What?" Realizing something was amiss, he quickly spat out the contents of his mouth. Staring at the shattered transparent Crystal Stone in his palm, his eyes widened.

"Fake?!" he exclaimed.

Losack naturally knew what a Flame Demon Stone should feel like when consumed; after all, he had eaten more than one. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to Advance so quickly.

It had to be remembered that Decas's initial power had been slightly greater than his. His ability to surpass him now was largely due to the Flame Demon Stones he had obtained through various means.
