The Exorcism Began in America.

Chapter 242: Wizard Mexico!

"You're such an idiot! The boss already fled, why do you still care about him?"

Looking at the silhouette that had just reminded him before running off, this usually somewhat dazed underling suddenly had a flash of inspiration. He reached his hand toward the inner pocket of the black-robed man on the ground.

If his memory served him right, the stacks of US Dollars their boss had given to Master Jose had been put right there.

"What's going on? I clearly saw him stuff the money here. How can it be gone?"

The underling felt around for a while but found nothing, his mood abruptly turning anxious.

He yanked up the black-robed man's clothes, wanting to see if the money was hidden somewhere else.

However, so occupied was he that he failed to notice a faint silhouette appearing behind him, slowly closing in.

Meanwhile, a sudden gleam of light from the black-robed man's neck caught the underling's attention.

"What is this?"

His search having yielded nothing, the underling reached toward the black-robed man's neck. With a gentle tug, a necklace adorned with a Crystal fell into his hand.

Looking at the flickering light on the Crystal, the underling's brow furrowed instantly.

"I feel like I've heard of this thing before..." he muttered to himself, holding the Crystal.

"That's a Bizarre Warning Crystal!"

The sudden gloomy voice from beneath him made him jump to his feet, gazing in bewildered alarm at the black-robed man lying on the ground.

"You... you..."

Lifting the black hood from his head, Jose revealed a mouth smeared with blood. His gaze was chillingly fixed on this underling opposite him, one to whom he had never paid any mind.

Slowly getting to his feet, Jose twisted his neck and asked in an indifferent voice, "May I ask... what exactly were you looking for just now?"

"I... I..."

Seeing the clearly visible black mist in Jose's hand, the previously bold underling collapsed to the ground.

"In your next life, remember to keep your hands to yourself!"

No sooner had Jose spoken than the black mist swirling between his palms shot forward.

The underling, with no chance to dodge, was hit squarely.

"UGH... AAAAAHHHH!"

After a piercing scream, the black mist dispersed, leaving only a pool of crimson blood where the underling had been.

"And you!" After dealing with the man before him, Jose immediately turned his head toward something behind him.

The faint, Bizarre silhouette was already pressing against his back.

Accompanied by a Bizarre screech, Jose slowly drew a bone dagger and watched as the figure turned into a pile of ashes.

"Ngh."

Swallowing the coppery tang of blood in his mouth, he turned his cold gaze north.

"Exorcist..."

Jefferson withdrew his weapon. Watching the surrounding white mist quickly dissipate, he said slowly, thoughtfully, "This aura... feels like the handiwork of those Mexican wizards?"

"That's right, it's those bastards!" His companion flipped over a soldier's corpse at their feet. Sensing the residual aura on it, he nodded in agreement.

It was unclear if it was due to culture or belief, but most Mexican Awakeners, after their awakening, showed little interest in becoming Exorcists.

Instead, they showed a notable appreciation for becoming wizards, in line with their traditional culture.

They used all sorts of herbs, symbols, and rituals, coupled with the powers that awakened within them, to dabble extensively.

Healing, divination, Exorcism... even various kinds of Sorcery.

Their unique aura, distinct from that of Exorcists, was easily distinguishable.

"Inform the National Guard to collect the bodies and set up defenses! We don't have time to watch over the trenches here."

Looking at the crowd surging in the distance, Jefferson frowned.

Although his people were no longer particularly afraid of firearms, they couldn't afford to simply be worn down here.

"Right, any news from the other squads?"

The person beside him glanced at their phone and frowned.

"Still no signal. The Bizarre aura here is too dense; it's severely impacting the communication devices."

"Then forget it. Send someone to notify the Guard immediately. We can't manage here without them!"

After delegating the tasks, Jefferson looked at the distant crimson sky and frowned slightly; he felt an unsettling sensation from that direction.

Aguascalientes, located in central Mexico.

Its capital, sharing the same name, was established in 1575.

It was originally a fairly well-known tourist city, but now, perhaps no one would ever be able to reach it again!

Above the city, the original blue sky and white clouds were no longer visible.

The sky looked as if a massive rift had torn it open, revealing the vista of another world.

A fiery-red landscape with flowing lava. Black smoke, swept by fierce gales, formed crimson whirlwinds that constantly ravaged this other land.

On that land, Hell Creatures of various forms gathered beneath the rift. Amidst a strong sulfurous odor, they stared greedily at the other world above their heads.

"Thanks to the Demon God for His graciousness!" A fiery-red monster that had just crawled out of the magma cackled. Then, its two thick hind legs thrust powerfully, launching it like an arrow towards the world high in the sky.

The other Hell Creatures, not to be outdone, used their various abilities and swarmed towards the world above.

"PFFT! What a bunch of fools!" A dark-red figure, watching the bustling scene in the distance, stroked the Demon horns on his head and let out a sneer.

"Decas, such a tempting world! Why don't you go over?"

A sudden, raspy voice beside him made his expression darken instantly. He turned to face another Demon that had appeared out of nowhere.

"Losack..."

Before he finished speaking, a Flame Spear abruptly shot out from his hand.

"TSK, TSK, TSK. Decas, you're still as irritable as ever!" Dodging the sudden attack, the Demon Losack quickly retreated tens of meters, seeing the other still wanted to fight.

Seeing the detestable fellow create some distance, Decas didn't pursue. After all, he wasn't confident he could kill the bastard right now.

"What are you here for? Do you want to go over and take a look?" He turned his head towards the sky, his meaning clear.

"Heh heh, I wouldn't dare right now! That space might look stable, but it's far inferior to the Gate of Breaking Boundary!" Losack said, laughing and shaking his head.

"I'll wait until the erosion stabilizes before considering it! I truly cherish this long life of mine!"

Decas's lips twitched slightly upon hearing that.

What an oddity among Demons!

To speak so blatantly about fearing death, no wonder he never gained Lord Darius's approval.

"I think you should return to the lava lake and reincarnate. Perhaps that would change your current perspective!"

Seeing Decas's menacing look, Losack waved his hands repeatedly.

"Calm down, I've come to you with good news this time!"
