The very void recoiled in fear at the brutality of the attacks the two were launching on the other.

Then soon, they separated, eyes locked on the other.

Kailen stood tall, crimson skin shimmering with archaic runes.

Underneath the crimson skin, lay a shadow armor formed from the shadows of various materials in the shadow expanse.

Lightning and flames snaked wildly around his figure.

Lightning and flames had enveloped his fists, already covered in a thick amalgamation of vines.

As for Vengeful, she couldn't be happier—or more fanatic.

This had been the dream of all the shadow creatures: to be privileged enough to have a duel with their master.

Even Feral, the senpai, felt jealous on seeing the look of glee in Vengeful's eyes.

"Lucky bitch," Feral couldn't help but curse, something the shadow creatures and even the Time Dilation Artifact found amusing.

Ignoring the emotions of his shadow creatures transmitted to him—because they were literally now an extension of himself—Kailen chuckled lightly. These guys were really dramatic.

Kailen's eyes, however, returned to Vengeful, floating calmly across him.

The wyvern's form shifted into a feminine humanoid obsidian beauty.

Then, once again, the two disappeared.

For a moment, silence graced the skies.

Until the Darkhaven and subject clashed.

Raw ,brutal , straightforward clashes.

The force of their attacks were palpable, causing the very void to recoil from time to time.

They clashed over and over again in cataclysmic proportions.

There was no show-off of skill, or flashy use of affinities.

A ripple spread outwards, enveloping the surroundings.

Kailen's replica , battling the shadow creature, felt strong vibrations travel through his arms, then to other parts of his being, and then his replica spat out a mouthful of blood.

As this was happening, he realized his figure was falling. He crashed towards the other end of the stadium, the pain so real that his actual body, seated in a lotus position in the pocket world, could not help but grimace emotionally.

The shadow creature, however, with obsidian skin hardened like steel, now with a slight crack in her skin, crashed towards another end of the stadium like a fallen comet.

The results were clear.

In a battle against the shadow creature, a rank 1 beginner stage galactic level lifeform, Kailen, a rank 5 supreme ascendant level lifeform, was equally matched with the creature!

Not forgetting the fact that Kailen's shadow creatures had extremely tough physiques because of the densities of the universe energy coursing through them, and therefore were more powerful than those in the same rank.

This meant that if Kailen, as a rank 5 supreme stage ascendant level lifeform, fought a normal awakener at the rank 1 beginner stage galactic level lifeform, he would come out on top!

If news that someone at the supreme stage ascendant level, only relied on their rank, to achieve this, traveled in the Astral Empire or wherever, it would cause an uproar!

This was because the gap between someone at the rank 5 supreme stage ascendant level lifeform and someone at the rank 1 beginner stage galactic level lifeform was extremely wide!

This was the difference between a rank! Not the difference between sub-ranks.

It was true that Kailen was a Black Flask, and using his capabilities as a Black Flask Alchemist to achieve this was understandable, but to use his raw strength as a rank 5 supreme stage ascendant level lifeform to do this was inconceivable.

A screech of a bird followed.

What followed next was the appearance of a Phoenix. It was almost ethereal, but perceivable.

Under the gaze of the Time Dilation Artifact, watching everything with intrigue and not even a hint of surprise, and the fanatic stares of the two thousand and more shadow creatures, beams of lightning flickered around the figure of the Phoenix, until it let out an extremely terrifying screech.

The phoenix, flickering with azure lightning, shot towards an approaching ball of lightning from Vengeful.

In a moment, the Phoenix and the ball of lightning clashed into one another.

Stillness ensued for a moment, until blinding shockwaves rippled outwards.

Under the expected gazes of every sentient creature at the stadium, the phoenix, flickering with lightning, let out a screech as the ball of lightning from Vengeful consumed it completely.

"Fair enough. But it was still able to keep up for a moment. This means the potency of my rune attacks is literally unrivaled at the peak of the rank 0 Runesmithery," Kailen mused to himself, satisfied with the outcome, not disappointed.

"The second stage of the Asura Enlightenment Physique, which boosts my strength to the rank 5 intermediate stage ascendant level, and my actual strength as a rank 5 supreme stage ascendant level lifeform, in addition to the use of my affinities, elemental mirroring, and shadow armor from shadows in the vicinity, can enhance my strength to the level of a rank 1 beginner stage galactic level. I wonder how strong I will be if I use the shadow-armored form for all my shadow creatures. Oh, and I haven't even considered the use of umbral pirouette.

I need to find actual creatures in the pocket world to test that out. If anything untoward happens, I can just umbral replacement to escape the situation. Unless, of course, I'm trapped in some daunting simulation like last time, where I won't have any other choice but to endure."

Kailen's conjured form disappeared from the shadow expanse.

His eyes flickered open in the pocket world.

"Time to see if there's something in my nearest vicinity worth trying my shadow armored form on."

He stood up, causing his shadow sense to spread for extremely large distances.

The distance he could currently cover was extremely over the charts compared to previously when he was just a rank one beginner stage ascendant level lifeform!

"I've really improved!" Kailen couldn't help but sigh in amazement.

Coupled with his elemental mirroring, which had improved alongside his perception, he was able to see a lot of things very far away from his current location.

As his shadow sense, elemental mirroring, and perception spread outwards, Kailen couldn't help squint his eyes in amazement when he came across something.

"Well, would you look at that."
