A towering mountainous creature could be seen snoring on an extremely large island in the pocket world.

The island was surrounded by extremely foggy waters.

The sky above the island loomed with thick, dark ominous clouds that churned from time to time with lightning.

From time to time, the lightning from the ominous clouds in the sky will fall on the mountainous looking creature snoring on the island.

Kailen could perceive from a distance that several sea creatures could be seen gallivanting in and out of the waters.

Some of them were creatures he could not even begin to describe.

However his focus was the mountainous looking creature snoring on the island.

He wanted to test an idea he just had on the creature.

The Time Dilation Artifact motioned to him as she munched on some pizza she had gotten from who knows where.

" Is my training not the reason why the pocket world exists?"

Kailen replied with a light smirk tugging at the edge of his lips.

" It seems you are becoming more daring in talking back at me. How about I don't increase the number of days you can spend in the pocket world when you get to the rank 1 beginner stage galactic level?" The Time Dilation Artifact spoke casually as she made munching sounds.

At these words, Kailen couldn't help but sigh.

If he acted all pained and hurt, the Time Dilation Artifact would just be happy for bullying him.

Kailen couldn't help but smirk.

It seems he was getting to know this Time Dilation Artifact better and better.

She was a tsundere through and through.

Anyway, Kailen had finally arrived on the ocean he had to cross to get to the island.

Quickly, he scanned the sea creatures gallivanting the ocean.

All of them were at the rank 7 beginner stage galactic level.

He could deal with that with his infinite alchemy flame.

Far above hovering above layers and layers of clouds from reach, were creatures more terrifying than Kailen could imagine.

Kailen could not even discern their rank, but he knew even with the enhancement of all his shadow creatures, they were terrifying entities he couldn't fight with.

" Instead of using my capabilities as a rank 1 Black Flask, let's try to go full battle mode and see if I'm capable of defeating these rank 7 beginner stage galactic level creatures on my own"

The ginormous eel sensed Kailen's presence.

Kailen's katana sizzled with lightning, flames, as condensed sword intent had enveloped it.

Then he swung it towards the creature.

Before the creature collided into him, these attacks were launched in rapid successions.

Kailen had also activated his umbral pirouette battle style, an attempt to mimic the creature's attack patterns, predict its next moves, retaliate resourcefully and incorporate the creature's movement techniques into his own.

But Kailen couldn't have been more wrong.

First of all, his attacks did nothing to the creature.

Also, even if he could follow the movements of the creature's shadows and attempt to predict it's next moves, the creature was too fast for him to do anything.

The sound of scorching flesh was heard for a moment, as Kailen felt extreme pain clouding his entire being, then, before he even realized how it happened, he died..

" Fuck"

Respawning once again at where the creature had killed him, Kailen couldn't help but feel a sense of dread looking at the eel, now gallivanting around the ocean like it hadn't just ended his life.

"This creature is no joke"

"Well, it seems like I now know how strong I am with my physical strength, usage of affinities, skills and all my shadow creatures in the shadow armored form.

I'm not a match for a rank 7 beginner stage galactic level lifeform. The gap between us is just too wide, what a bummer. The galactic level is not like the ascendant level where one can even easily breeze through sub ranks."

If anyone heard Kailen, they'd vomit and die from anger.

This guy was not even a galactic level lifeform yet, and he was thinking that not being able to defeat a rank 7 beginner stage galactic level lifeform with his physical strength was a bummer?
