Sophia and Maya went to the royal castle because Ellie had asked them to come over. There, the two also ran into Anna and Ari because the latter had gotten a new set of clothing for the little princes, an adorable white dress that made her even cuter when no one thought that was possible. It turned out that Ellie wanted to show everyone, Menzor and Kira included, her progress in learning magic, so everyone got ready for a show by her.
"By the way, does the capital already know about our little princess having so much power?" While everyone was waiting for Ellie's magic show to start, Sophia wanted to catch up on some things and looked at the royal couple.
"Eluna knows about it." The queen answered her. "She's teaching your new magic, after all. Also, she's one of the strongest magic users of the beastfolk outside your group, so she instantly noticed once she got close to Ellie. Some ministers have also noticed, but we told them to stay quiet for a bit longer."
"We don't want it to be known just yet." Menzor nodded a few times. "People will pay more than enough attention to her once it gets out, most likely when our ever-excited girl uses it in public, but for now, there's no need for her to be subjected to that right now. Having her just happily play around is definitely the better decision."
"Good job!" Sophia was proud of him.
"Ellie wants to start now!" Watching them talk, the little princess had gotten impatient.
"Of course!" Her parents and Sophia instantly stopped chatting and smiled at her.
"Yay!" She did a light stretch before moving a little further away from the veranda where everyone else was sitting on. "Okay, Ellie will start with showing dirt magic!"
"Ohh!" Everyone lightly clapped in anticipation.
"Let's go!" Saying so, the princess stretched her arms in front of her and closed her eyes for a moment while seemingly concentrating hard. "Big hole, go!" Her eyes shot open again, and a circular hole with a diameter of two meters and 30 centimeters deep violently shot into the ground while making a sound that resembled a small explosion.
"Ohh, good job, Ellie!" Kira praised her first.
"I'm still shocked she can use magic to this degree already." Menzor was also impressed with her progress. "Though, I don't think the gardeners will be happy about that."
"Oh, come on, as if the gardeners would be upset about Ellie having fun!" Just thinking about such a thing was impossible for Sophia.
"It's the fifth hole." The king scratched his cheek. "This week alone, that is."
"Ah." The blonde got a little awkward.
"Speaking of, I've been meaning to ask something about earth magic." The queen then looked at her. "Is it supposed to be this violent?" She gestured at her youngest daughter and the hole in front of her. "I've seen only weak variants before, but whenever Ellie uses it, it's almost like she's exploding the dirt rather than just gently moving it."
"An energetic girl uses energetic magic." Sophia didn't see the issue.
"Energetetic!" Neither did Ellie.
"Is that how that works…?" Kira wasn't entirely convinced about her explanation.
"Yes!" The two tigers in question heartily nodded.
"That's what you get when you have Sophia teach someone magic." Ari had no sympathy for her.
"Well, that actually makes a lot of sense." She could follow that reasoning much more.
"Ellie wants to continue now!" The little princess was getting impatient again.
"Of course!" The group immediately stopped their chat and focused their attention on her once more.
"Okay, water time!" This time, Ellie lifted her left arm and pointed at the sky above her. A few seconds later, a massive cloud formed over the hole from before. "Rain, go!" After saying those words, a torrent of water rained out of the cloud and instantly filled the hole to the brim.
"Woah, I haven't seen her doing that before!" Menzor was once more surprised by her quick learning. "That's amazing!" He didn't fail to praise her, either.

"Don't you ever think about using that raincloud when there's an outdoor event you don't want to attend, okay?" Kira just stared at her.
"Ellie promises nothing!"
"Dear~." Her mother slowly shook her head.
"Urgh!" She faltered under the pressure. "Okay…"
"Wait, you can make clouds with magic?!" Anna was also impressed by the feat her little sister had pulled.
"Of course." Sophia nodded. "I mean, clouds are just a blob of water vapor that got condensed, so you can easily create them with magic."
"And why aren't we using it in your domain?" The older princess tilted her head. "We recently managed to create somewhat of a sky here and there, but some clouds, especially real ones, would make it sooo much better!"
"Hah." The blonde paused for a second. "Sometimes, I'm quite dumb, aren't I?"
"…"
"Nuh-uh!" The little princess was the only one who disagreed with her. "So…phia is the smartest!"
"Gosh, I love you so much!"
"Ellie loves So…phia, too!"
"Nngh!" She took quite some damage from the condensed cuteness of her.
"Ehehe~." The little tiger let out a happy giggle. "Ellie still has more to show!"
"Show away!" The blonde gave her a thumbs-up.
"Yay!" Happy she could do more, she got closer to the hole she made and dipped a finger into the water the princess had added to it. "Brr, yes, too cold!" Ellie briefly shuddered before standing up again. "Heating needed!" Then, she pointed above the water-filled hole and created a small ball of fire, which then shot into the water, creating a short sizzling sound as well as some steam.
"I think I know where this is going." Sophia let out a small chuckle while she was piecing things together.
"Mh-hmm." Kira just nodded.
"Next, Ellie will use some very special magic to get rid of her shoes and socks!" Saying so, she sat down on the grass and quickly took them off using her hands. "Then, Ellie will use magic to cool down!" Getting up again, the princess jumped into the lukewarm pool of water she created. "It was too warm lately, so Ellie needed this!" Luckily, thanks to careful planning, the water barely reached her knees, so her dress didn't get ruined.
"Were the last parts really magic…?" Menzor raised an eyebrow while looking at his happy-go-lucky daughter.
"Wind, ei!" Ellie pointed at her father, and a gust of wind hit his face immediately afterward. "Sure is!" She disagreed with his assessment.
"Sure is." Sophia agreed with her pupil.
"I see." The king had nothing else to say and spent the next couple of minutes fixing his hair.
"Ellie, no creating pools, especially even deeper ones, when no one is around, okay?" Sophia looked right at the little tiger to make sure she understood.
"Okay!" She gave her a bright smile in return.
"Thank you." Kira was happy that the blonde had a responsible side to her when it came to such things. "Anyway, you're amazing, sweetie!" She then looked at her daughter. "You'll be the most amazing magic user in the future!"
"The amazingest?!" Her eyes started sparkling.
"Absolutely." Sophia nodded along before glancing at Kira. "I will make sure of that."
"YAY!" The little tiger got even more excited.
"A-Ah." The queen noticed her grave mistake.
"Why did you say that?!" Menzor looked at his wife with wide-open eyes.
"I just wanted to praise our daughter, okay?!"
"I guess that's true." He couldn't say anything there. "You really are the best, Ellie!" He then smiled at the little tiger. "You're already better at using magic than I am!"
"Waow!" She loved to hear that. "Ellie will become the amazingest and bestest!"
"Yes, I'll make sure that you become both," Sophia smirked at him before looking at Ellie once more. "We'll train lots more!"
"YAY!" Her excitement managed to rise even more. "Ellie can't wait!"
"The capital will become even more lively, huh?" Maya only scratched her cheek while listening to them.
"I've never been gladder that we're out and traveling right now." Ari energetically nodded.
"Lively is good!" Sophia didn't like the tone in their voices.
"How did Ellie do?!" The small princess did another round in her small pools before getting out again. Then, she dried off her legs and feet before putting on her socks and shoes while looking at the group with a mischievous and anticipating expression.
"I need to step up my magic!" Anna replied first. "I can't have my little sister outdo me!" She immediately started a small rivalry with her.
"Ellie will definitely win!" Her expression became even more mischievous.
"You really are amazing, dear." Kira lightly clapped her hands while smiling at her daughter.
"I have nothing to add there." Menzor nodded in agreement. "Your future is bright, and I'm very proud of you!"
"Ehehe~." She was happy about being praised by her parents.
"You're definitely an outstanding learner!" Sophia was also proud of her pupil. "We need to work a little more on your chantless skills, though." She looked at her for a moment. "I noticed how you were saying a word or a little sentence whenever you used magic."
"It helps Ellie imagine what she wants to do!" The little tiger didn't see the issue.
"It also limits your imagination, though." The blonde slowly shook her head. "It makes you always use the same magic without getting a fresh image in your head.
"Mhmm…"
"It also spoils the surprise." She tried a different approach. "If you yell wind before pranking your dad, he'll have time to prepare himself."
"A-AH!" Her playful expression turned into pure shock.
"That's not good, is it?"
"NO GOOD!" She vigorously nodded in return. "We can't have that!"
"Exactly." Sophia was glad she understood.
"Thank you." Menzor's voice was dripping with sarcasm as he looked at the blonde while slowly shaking his head.
"You're welcome~." She only gave him another thumbs-up in return. "Okay, we'll focus on that during our next training sessions, okay?" Sophia then smiled at the little tiger.
"Okay!" Ellie reacted with a big nod.
Afterward, the group continued to praise her even more while they spent the rest of the afternoon chatting together to catch up on things.
