Chapter 698: Silent Spiral (Part 3)

"I see, I completely understand now."

In Blind Town, in a lightless hotel room, two identical girls were engaged in a spiritual exchange—these were indeed the reflections Weiser and the Illusion Mirror Dragon created from parallel world lines.

With the Mutual Love Technique Spirit, Weiser had created a little Miracle called "Mutual Love," allowing a rapid information exchange between two souls. However, this Miracle had a major side effect: their personalities and memories were likely to become confused. Yet, for Weiser and the Phantom, this side effect was almost negligible since the Phantom was just Weiser's shadow.

After acquiring all the magic knowledge from the other, Weiser felt her Spirit Faction was virtually touching the threshold of the Holy Domain. She looked sincerely at the Phantom in the darkness and said, "Thank you."

"No trouble, I am the one benefiting the most," the Phantom replied. "If there's nothing else, I'll be heading back."

"But, are you really going through with that plan?"

Weiser said nothing, and the Phantom fell silent too, melting into the air and disappearing without a trace.

"Illusion Mirror Dragon..." she murmured softly.

Previously, her magic realm was lacking, and she believed the Illusion Mirror Dragon truly summoned a phantom from another world line to communicate with her. But now it seemed that this so-called 'another world line self' was nothing more than the Illusion Mirror Dragon extracting her memories, blending them with other magic knowledge from the Void Realm, and haphazardly piecing together a phantom.

Simply put, this was essentially the Illusion Mirror Dragon helping her steal knowledge from the Void Realm. As for 'another world line self', it was merely a personality setup to help her absorb knowledge.

How could there really be other world lines?

No matter what decision is made, it will only lead to one consequence, unable to turn back, unable to regret.

Thus, the Phantom's final question actually arose from the last trace of hesitation within her heart.

But this trace of hesitation vanished completely once Ash obtained the Wish Core, allowing him to retreat to the Heavenly Kingdom of Thousand Wishes at any time.

"Just as well, during this time, I've been unable to log into the Void Realm. The Great Skill has already been collected sufficiently, and everything is ready."

Weiser opened the window to admire this city of darkness, all that met her eyes was deep gloom.

"Then let's take advantage of this interval to make a trip to Silent Spiral and start the countdown to Senluo."

...

...

"This kingdom... is really interesting."

Four Pillars God Sect, main hall of Ya Sha Jin sector.

At the moment, all the servants had been dismissed from the main hall, and all confidential documents had been laid out, being rapidly browsed by a handsome and cold-eyed man.

On the opposite side sat Mercury Wooden Horse, despite descending using a safe vessel, which could not harm her original being, yet she remained restless, not daring to make any eye contact with the cold man.

"No wonder He guaranteed an opportunity would arise in this kingdom that I need..." The cold man pondered for a moment before suddenly asking, "To enter Silent Spiral, does one need the Great Skill?"

"Yes." Mercury Wooden Horse replied instantly, "The Great Skill is an essential condition to open Silent Spiral."

"But is there currently someone by the name of Silver Lamp frantically plundering the Great Skill?"

"Correct," Mercury Wooden Horse said, "She is a crazed woman whose theory is 'reality is just a fleeting illusion; the Void Realm is the eternal future.' She believes reality is a false dream, and her goal is to pierce through the dream, destroy Senluo."

The cold man couldn't help pacing back and forth in the hall, contemplating for a long time before suddenly saying, "Necessary spending is indeed unavoidable..."

Mercury Wooden Horse was startled, only to see the cold man suddenly lying down on the floor, as if he simply fell asleep. Yet even so, she dared not approach, quietly waiting in place.

She waited not long before the cold man rubbed his eyes and woke up, complaining, "Indeed, without Dream Heaven, the Premonition Dreams can't see too far into the future, but it's enough..."

He commanded, "Next, you are to engage in war with the Qinri Alliance and keep the frontline near Silent Spiral, minimizing any obstructions to Silver Lamp's entry into Silent Spiral."

"Yes." Mercury Wooden Horse dared not dissent, as the Divine Lord's oracle was to execute the cold man's orders unconditionally.

But the cold man's previous question and his final order prompted a strange association for Mercury Wooden Horse, making her ask, "Could Silver Lamp really pierce through the dream and destroy Senluo? But if so, why are we helping her?"

The cold man glanced at her, making Mercury Wooden Horse bow her head instantly, "I apologize for my rudeness."

"It's alright, letting you grasp the truth and understand the situation is also good, lest you commit an unforgivable foolish mistake." The cold man, surprisingly kind, sat down and picked up a document, saying, "I think this matter is the best thread to start with—do you still remember the Tribulation Fire Temple summoning the First Gospel two months ago?"

"I remember," Mercury Wooden Horse said, "The First Gospel is named Ash Heath, but he didn't possess the ability of the First Gospel, and was defeated by Silver Lamp... Wait, could it be he's actually the true First Gospel, but he's been hiding his abilities all along?"

"Don't be so hasty," the cold man said, "Do you think the First Gospel came to Senluo for what purpose?"

"To suppress the Four Pillars God Sect," Mercury Wooden Horse replied, "The captives from the Tribulation Fire Temple said they heard the will of Lord Senluo, that the First Gospel would come to save Senluo, hence they summoned the First Gospel."

"You see, the First Gospel came to save Senluo, not destroy the Four Pillars God Sect," the cold man said, "You misunderstood right from the beginning."

Following this, the cold man briefly explained the truth about Senluo Wasteland and Green Beast, and the eternal torment destined to fall upon Senluo Wasteland following the death of Lord Senluo.

Mercury Wooden Horse listened with a cold sweat, not only because the cold man's words aligned perfectly with intelligence reports, but also because she was a Prophet Mage herself and hadn't sensed any of these secrets, which made her increasingly aware of the strength of the prophecy faction demigods—the man could extract the world's truth in a short time from the same sources of intelligence!

"So, not only is the First Gospel not here to destroy the Four Pillars God Sect, in fact, he might join the Four Pillars God Sect," the cold man summed up, "Senluo Kingdom is already a bleeding wound of Lord Senluo, the faster the people here are slaughtered, not only is it saving them, it's also helping Lord Senluo stop the bleeding. The Four Pillars God Sect is the perfect knife for the First Gospel."

Mercury Wooden Horse suddenly realized something, "Then Silver Lamp..."

"If he is the true First Gospel, he might collaborate with Silver Lamp immediately, assisting her in controlling the Four Pillars God Sect and then annihilating all beings, destroying the world. His prophecy ability exceeds mine; he certainly knows what is the right way to save Senluo."

"Unfortunately, the First Gospel is fake," the cold man shrugged, "So we'll have to take on the task ourselves."

Mercury Wooden Horse trembled all over, "But Senluo is destined for destruction, aren't we on a dead-end road?"

"That was initially the case, but you were very fortunate," the cold man smiled, "Sky Gate Technique Spirit could offer you a chance to escape Senluo—of course, it's only a chance."

"But the Sky Gate Technique Spirit is very unstable! It's just asking for death!"

Mercury Wooden Horse had indeed experimented with the Sky Gate Technique Spirit, but it only resulted in hundreds of believers dying with no success.

"Once you reach the lowest layer of the continent, the success rate of the Sky Gate Technique Spirit will soar exponentially," the cold man was clear about the effects of the Sky Gate Technique Spirit, "As for where the lowest layer of the continent is, you surely know better than I do."

Mercury Wooden Horse sat dazed for a while, suddenly asking, "But why are you helping Silver Lamp?"

"That is what you don't need to know,"

the cold man casually said, "Moreover, although I'm currently just a negligible will, at least I'm in a deal with your master, don't you spare any respect?"

"Apologies, Lord Ghost Prophet."

"Don't use that title anymore, if I'm not mistaken, quite a few Divine Lords have cursed that name; the more you use it, the easier it is to draw their attention," the cold man said, putting his feet up on the desk, picking up a nearby wine glass, giving it a gentle sway before directly spilling it, not drinking.

"Just call me by my Elf name, Vishi."
