The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!

Chapter 141 "Map Glitch"_2

"Since this is our duel and it has nothing to do with you, what are you doing here?" Luo Yan blocked Kamu with a single sentence, and continued calmly.

"Clearly, the outcome of the duel is closely related to your interests, and I wouldn't rule out the possibility that you were the one inciting it from behind."

"That's what I think too."

Watching Kamu, who couldn't defend himself, Grien analyzed the situation with reason and evidence.

"...If your brother wins, the Dragon family can take advantage of the situation and demand Mr. Luo Yan to honor his promise and concede the Great Graveyard to the Dragon family. If by some accident things go wrong, then they'll just throw the blame on our Demon King... Chaos, for instance, is a pretty good card to play."

When he said this, Grien deliberately paused for two seconds, throwing a surprised glance at Kamu.

"Mr. Kamu Dragon... Though I'd like to say there might be some misunderstanding, perhaps you really need to explain things to the Truth Department."

Clearly, this Deputy Director wasn't actually good-tempered or forgetful of grievances; he was just cunningly opportunistic, only making a move when the winds were favorable.

Watching the two men tag-teaming him, Kamu Dragon clenched his teeth with a grinding sound, his fists tightening and then releasing, releasing and then tightening again.

Looking at this Horror Demon on the verge of an outburst, Luo Yan was not the least bit flustered. Although he was only at Silver Level, this place was Demon City.

Perhaps coming to the same conclusion, Kamu ultimately chose not to erupt here, giving him a fierce glare before turning and walking away.

Watching Kamu Dragon leave, Mia, who had held her breath and said nothing, gently nudged Luo Yan's arm and whispered,

"So... is the situation at your Great Graveyard really caused by the Dragon family? That... Chaos?"

She was convinced after listening to Luo Yan's analysis!

"It's just speculation for now; after all, we don't have any evidence at the moment," Luo Yan shrugged his shoulders lightly.

"Right, it's just our reasonable guess... Now, with that bothersome guy finally gone, we should discuss the serious issues," Grien coughed and looked at the two of them, changing to a serious expression to continue.

"What should we do now?"

Even if the blame was placed on Xino Dragon, that wouldn't change the fact that the Great Graveyard is currently facing the threat of Chaos.

Because subspace channels have been interfered with by Chaos, at this moment the Demon King Management Department is completely in the dark about the situation there, clueless about everything. The assumption that there has been an invasion by Chaos is merely based on experience, and whether it really is happening still remains to be seen.

This is actually inevitable, given that the Great Graveyard is far too distant from Hell, and usually, it all depends on Luo Yan's own reports.

Now, Luo Yan himself is in Demon City, so isn't Demon City completely in the dark?

In a sense, this is also one of the reasons why the Demon King Management Department is reluctant to let the Demon King take leave and return to Demon City.

Actually, Luo Yan is not entirely ignorant of the events in the Demon King Territory; after all, his calamity system does not rely on the principles of subspace and therefore is not affected by any interference.

But he certainly can't disclose matters regarding the Player, because that would involve the Divine and lead to a series of complications.

So, he can only pretend to be unaware of his territory's situation and first asks the question he cares about most.

"Is the Teleportation Array still operational?"

Grien shook his head.

"Obviously, the one in the Great Graveyard isn't functional; the corruption from the Chaos invasions often disrupts subspace over tens or even hundreds of kilometers."

Luo Yan pondered for a moment and then asked,

"What would happen if we tried to use it forcibly?"

Grien paused, then replied with a wry smile,

"I'd advise you not to even think about it. There's a certain probability of being forcibly pulled to the other side of the Gate of Chaos, and the closer you are to the source of the corruption, the more likely it is to happen."

No one knows what lies on the other side of the Gate of Chaos.

Some have ventured in, but very few have returned safely.

Some claim to have seen a colossal sun, others speak of a shattered moon, some say it was impossible to breathe, while others describe the air filled with an intoxicating honey scent.

Others have encountered countless ravenous swarms of insects or bizarre, mutant creatures...

Some scholars speculate that those were worlds completely conquered by Chaos, now dead.

In any case, it's not a good place.

At this point, Grien paused for a moment before continuing with a serious expression,

"If you must return at this time, we can only send you to the nearest Teleportation Array."

Luo Yan immediately asked,

"Where's that?"

Grien answered,

"Shattered Rock Peak, a part of the Ten Thousand Ridges Mountain Range, roughly to the northeast of Thunder County. There's a place called Catastrophe Castle; it's the territory of the Hell Dwarves. Hell doesn't directly rule over it, but the local Hell Dwarves revere Lord Bayele, and our Venerated Bayele has descended miracles there."

Luo Yan said thoughtfully,

"So it's under our dominion?"

Grien nodded,

"Yes, but our vassals are always slippery, so don't count on them helping you too much. In dire situations, they run faster than anyone else... Of course, that being said, it shouldn't be a problem to ask them for a pathway."

Luo Yan was not surprised at all about this.

Most of those who work for Hell are just like that, even Deputy Director Grien standing in front of him was no exception, let alone others.
