The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!

Chapter 141 "Map BUG

"Kamu Dragon? Why are you here?"

Looking at the Horror Demon gripping Grien's collar, Mia's face was filled with surprise.

On one hand, she didn't expect the Deputy Director to be so good-tempered, not getting angry even when grabbed by the collar, and on the other hand, she didn't expect the head of the Dragon family to be here...strictly speaking, this matter had nothing to do with him.

Standing next to Mia, Luo Yan was seeing this Mr. Kamu for the first time.

However, his intuition told him that Mr. Kamu had not only seen him before but had been watching him from the shadows for some time.

As he had expected, the Horror Demon let go of Grien's collar and strode forward, his large bell-like eyes staring straight into his.

"My brother encountered trouble in your territory, why do you think I am here?"

Luo Yan looked at him expressionlessly.

"Did I ask you?"

That remark left Kamu speechless.

Luo Yan truly hadn't asked why he was here... It was Mia who asked that.

"Don't play dumb!" Kamu said angrily in a low growl, stepping forward and continuing vehemently, "You know what it is, only Chaos could disrupt the Subspace pathways! I need an explanation for why Chaos appeared in your Demon King Territory!"

"Isn't the answer obvious?" Luo Yan said calmly, "All the problems arose after I left, after your brother went there."

Kamu Dragon's eyes narrowed dangerously, and his raspy voice grew lower.

"Are you questioning the loyalty of the Dragon family?"

He had somewhat guessed it.

The premature interruption of the arena projection might be related to Chaos.

"And you? Are you questioning the choices of Lord Demon God?"

Luo Yan looked at him unchangingly and continued.

"Even the respected and omnipotent Lord Demon God has never questioned my loyalty, since when does the Dragon family have the right to question it."

Kamu's expression faltered, slightly embarrassed as he spoke.

"That's not what I meant—"

"That is exactly what you mean," Luo Yan pressed forward, stepping closer and staring into Kamu Dragon's eyes, "Let me guess... The ever-concerned Mr. Kamu Dragon, who cares the most about his brother, didn't persuade your foolish brother before the duel but instead lent him your castle and personal guard. Can you tell me why?"

"These are internal matters of the Dragon family, I have no obligation to explain them to you!" Kamu Dragon growled in anger, yet he didn't realize the control of the conversation had already fallen into this man's hands.

Luo Yan smiled faintly and continued speaking.

"Indeed, you have no obligation to explain to me, but you may need to explain to the Truth Department."

Kamu glared at him furiously.

"What do you mean!"

"The maze in Thunder County had no problems before, nor did it after, but issues arose precisely when I left, and your Hellfire Heavy Infantry arrived on scene, I can't help but suspect that this was a trap set by you."

Kamu angrily said, "That's slander!"

"Slander? I prefer to call it a reasonable suspicion," Luo Yan said, staring at the furious Kamu with an emotionless face, "considering from every angle, you are the only beneficiary."

"Indeed," Grien, adjusting his collar, nodded thoughtfully, "such an occurrence provides no benefit to our Demon King, who doesn't need to resort to cunning to win, as I believe all the spectators in the arena that night can attest... Last night's battle was an overwhelming victory, I was there watching, it was absolutely spectacular."

"Thank you for your appraisal." Luo Yan smiled and nodded to Grien, then turned to look at the wide-eyed Kamu, continuing, "As Director Grien said, I have no need to arrange a chaos in my own territory for a mere duel, one that I can't even control."

Grien smiled and took over from Luo Yan, continuing along the same lines.

"Only a contender at a disadvantage would need such sudden measures, but I doubt Mr. Xino Dragon felt he was at a disadvantage, considering he seemed quite confident."

"So there's only one explanation," Luo Yan's brilliant smile gradually showed a chilling undertone as he continued, "To ensure his brother's victory, Mr. Kamu prepared two ace cards for him."

"This was your duel! What does it have to do with me!?" Kamu was somewhat panicked.

Though there was no such thing, Luo Yan's confident and well-reasoned argument made even him begin to doubt if there really was something to it.

The Hellfire, although trained by him, the Dragon family after all isn't solely under his command; if one of the old deathless placed those cards in his brother's hand, he might not even know.

This kind of situation is not uncommon.

Hell Society differs from human societies on the surface; high-level Demons live very long lives, many powerful families, although their leaders have stepped down, do not immediately pass away and still exert influence from behind the scenes.

Only a few long-lived families like the Colin family have established a Council of Elders system that further defines boundaries of power within family affairs.

However, the Dragon family clearly does not belong to this type.
