Jimmy put on his gloves, unbuttoned his suit, crossed his hands and placed them in front of his abdomen, standing before Max.
Zip ties and disposable gloves don't take up space, aren't heavy, are convenient to carry, and easy to use, so Jimmy has been carrying them for a long time, regardless of whether he's on a mission or just going out.
A twitch passed over Max's face, "Who are you?"
Jimmy: "Didn't Miguel tell you just now? What did he say?"
Max: "He didn't say anything, just came to check on me."
Jimmy: "It's obvious you've been abandoned. Back to my question, who called your brother to make him crash the car?"
Max: "I don't know what you're talking about."
Jimmy closed his mouth, smiled, his mouth curling up, eyes squinting; the smile made Max shiver, "You'll remember."
Jimmy picked up a jacket thrown on the nearby sofa, twisted the sleeve a bit, slowly walked to his side, then moved behind him. Max squirmed in his chair watching Jimmy, "What exactly do you want to ask?"
Jimmy directly flung the jacket over his head, tightened it around his neck, and Max's legs instinctively kicked the ground, his body straightened. Jimmy didn't continue but loosened the jacket; just a hint was enough, although Max seemed quite strong, the neck was nonetheless fragile.
Jimmy: "Remember now?"
As soon as Jimmy loosened the jacket, Max began to cough, gasping a few times, "Stop! Stop!"
After taking a few more breaths, he managed to say: "You're a federal agent, not an assassin, what do you want to do!"
Jimmy: "Oh~~ looks like you know who I am."
Max: "I surrender. I give up. Miguel came over just to say you've already found us, although he didn't expect you'd come so quickly."
Jimmy loosened the jacket, casually tossed it aside, "OK, now..." Just as he was speaking, his phone rang, directly interrupting him.
He took a few steps away, pulled out his phone from his pocket to glance at it, the number wasn't recorded in his phone, "This is Jimmy."
"Hi, Mr. Yang, this is Liliana Morrison."
Jimmy: "Oh, it's you, have you figured it out?"
Liliana: "Sorry for bothering you so late, do you have time tomorrow?"
Jimmy: "Where's my man?"
Liliana: "Of course, no problem. Montello wants to chat with you, how about at your bar?"
Jimmy: "Tomorrow afternoon, two o'clock."
Jimmy didn't wait for a reply before hanging up the phone.
These people seem to have considerable power, Jimmy usually doesn't manage his bar, he just goes there to drink or occasionally checks the accounts, but they had checked out his bar in merely half a day.
Just now, Liliana said they would hand over the person, so what were their people still doing at Max's tonight?
Max: "Our boss will bring me to meet you tomorrow."
Jimmy raised an eyebrow: "Oh? Did Miguel say that just now?"
Max: "Yes. It's our fault, we deeply respect you, regarding your wife's matter, I apologize sincerely."
Jimmy stood still and looked at Max; things were getting interesting. He thought for a moment and said, "Looks like you've investigated a lot. OK, tomorrow, I'll wait for your explanation. You can handle it yourself, right?"
Jimmy spoke while walking towards the door, opening it, he turned and glanced at Max: "You're smart, stay that way."
With that, Jimmy walked out of the room, shut the door casually, and took off his gloves while heading to his car to drive back to the apartment.
When Jimmy returned to the apartment, he specially observed the surroundings. This apartment was bought by him and registered under his name. Since they could find his bar, they could certainly find his home, he still needed to be careful.
However, it seemed he was overthinking, Jimmy didn't notice anyone staking out the area, nor was there anything unusual at the apartment door; they seemed to be following the rules after all.
The next day, Jimmy called Chuck in advance, asking him to bring a reliable person to the bar, and also phoned Woody at noon, asking him to come a bit earlier.
Jimmy opened the bar's door early, standing behind the bar, he selected a bottle of McLaren 18 Year Whiskey for himself, poured a small amount, tasted it, and found the composite flavor quite nice.
After a while, Woody came over, "Jimmy, why did you ask me to come early? Is something happening?" He asked as he walked toward the bar, then saw the McLaren 18 Year on the bar, surprisedly asked: "Weren't you always drinking Glenlivet? Why change your taste?"
Jimmy held the glass and stepped out of the bar, "I couldn't find my bottle, so I just opened one first."
Woody: "Your bottle is in the cabinet; I didn't put it out at all. Want to switch it?"
Jimmy: "This will do. Someone's coming later."
Woody: "Friend?"
Jimmy shook his head, "Not sure yet, we'll see when the time comes."
Woody nodded: "I understand, don't worry."
Woody went towards the resting room to change clothes, since he was already here, he decided to stay at the bar and wait for evening business, there wasn't time for him to leave and go home to rest.
After a while, Chuck came with a young man, "Hi, Jimmy."
Jimmy smiled and went to greet them, shook hands with Chuck, and led them to the bar. Jimmy took out two glasses from behind the bar, poured them some whiskey: "Poison Snake Gang's boss will bring people over, you guys wait on the side for a bit."
