North America Gunman Detective

Chapter 770: 467 Unrivaled Stealth_2

Fortunately, he could understand the "OK" coming from the walkie-talkie. Seeing him put the walkie-talkie away, Jimmy promptly raised his Glock, and with two "pop pop" shots, ended the lives of two men.

Since they were not in the surveillance area, the personnel in charge of monitoring at the security room probably didn't see them. As for the others, the noise of card-playing inside the house was too loud—furthermore, the sound of the Glock's shots, muffled by the silencer, definitely didn't catch their attention.

Jimmy crept along the wall, fired an additional shot at each of the two men, dragged them to a corner, then directly entered the backyard through the back door. He casually closed the door behind him, but of course did not lock it, making it more convenient for his departure later.

The lighting in the backyard was quite a nuisance. Given the darkness Jimmy had hoped for—especially since he was clad in black and wearing a Bullet-Proof Vest—he was too conspicuous.

Jimmy moved along the perimeter wall toward the front, where the personnel in the security room were the most alert. Moreover, according to prior information from a mole, there were three people inside the security room. Not dealing with them would spell trouble.

However, halfway there, Jimmy noticed something unexpected—the monitoring room had two people, and there were another two in the front courtyard. It seemed they had indeed adjusted their deployment.

Fortunately, the people in the main house were still inside. He could see four adults and a child in the living room—one person entertaining the child and the other three sitting on the sofa, apparently chatting or watching television.

There was one person standing in the hallway on the second floor, and two people exercising in a room on the third floor.

In addition, someone appeared to be busy in the nearby kitchen; if nothing out of the ordinary happened, this person was likely the cook.

It was somewhat unexpected for Jimmy to see a child here, but since he had already begun, stopping now was not an option. People had already died, and it wouldn't be long before they discovered it; even if he stopped and tried to escape now, they would hunt him down.

Drawing his silenced Glock, Jimmy took advantage of security personnel approaching from his side to aim at a person's head in the distance, firing one shot. Then he immediately turned and fired another shot at someone not far in front of him—both shots aimed at the head. The un-helmeted security guards did not have time to react before they fell.

The sound of the pistol's slide striking was not loud—although it was night, everyone else was inside their rooms, so there was no response. After carefully observing his surroundings, he edged his way towards the outside of the security room; the two guards were watching the monitors in front of them and did not look back at the door. From their relaxed posture and demeanor, they were clearly not on alert.

Jimmy approached the door and gently pushed—it did not budge, so it seemed it needed pulling. He slipped to the other side, grasped the handle, and pulled it slightly outward to ensure it was not locked. Only then did he pull the door open, stealthily entered, and quietly shut the door behind him.

The noise of the door closing startled both men. As they turned their heads and reached for their guns at their waists, Jimmy, who was originally planning to kill one and keep the other, had no choice but to aim at both of their heads and fire, ending the possibility of any interrogation they might face.

Looking at the monitors in front of him, Jimmy confirmed the positions of a few cameras. There was only one camera at the entrance of the main house; all other cameras were at the main entrance, the back door, and one at each of the four corners, pointing towards the wilderness.

The only exception was a camera pointed towards the main road. If nothing unexpected happened, it was supposed to cover the road in front of the main gate, though it was quite a distance away from the highway.

Actually, Jimmy had been overly cautious earlier. He approached from the middle of the wall and even reached the corner below; he would not have been seen by the cameras, except for the one at the back door, which he had knocked askew with a clump of dirt.

This caution on Jimmy's part was not unwarranted: this was his first time undertaking such an operation. Previous activities involving tracking and entering the home of a mob boss were completely different; the disparity in armed force was too great. Therefore, throughout the entire process, Jimmy operated in the safest manner possible, ensuring he left no clues behind to be tracked.

Looking at the surveillance feeds, Jimmy decided to physically shut them down—he found the power strip under the desk, unplugged it, and all the surveillance equipment, including the main unit, went offline.

Standing in the security room, Jimmy looked out at the manor in front of him. It was apparent that Barrio had spent a lot of money building this estate.

The pathway from the main gate to the middle main house was not straight but had a circular flowerbed in the middle, with lawns on either side of the path. Interspaced were lawn lights illuminating the grass; had it not been for the lack of street lamps, the entire yard would have been brighter.

He had already noticed this setup when he entered from the back door. In the backyard as well, there were these lawn lights brightening it up, making it possible to see people in the yard even at night without street lamps.

The main building was three stories and conservatively estimated to be over 500 square meters. Its length was nearly beyond Jimmy's Heart Eye range—safely, over 40 meters—and nearly 20 meters wide. Wealthy people really lived differently.

The walkie-talkie buzzed, but Jimmy ignored it; he didn't understand and couldn't speak it. If he had stuck to the plan earlier and kept one person, he could have tried deceiving and appeasing them, asking them to keep quiet and divert some personnel over here, allowing for a phased resolution. Now, he could only rely on luck.
