North America Gunman Detective

Chapter 730: 452 One fish two dishes_3

Torsten shook his head and sighed, "You're really something, handling it so quickly. What about your target?"

Jimmy: "He's not here, Bob can't even get in touch with the people above him. His superior is in Houston, Mo Davis."

Torsten, thoughtfully, "That name sounds familiar, I must have heard it before. I'll check it out when I get back."

Jimmy: "How are you going to handle this side?"

Torsten: "Bob can't deal with it, no evidence, alas, such a good opportunity wasted."

Jimmy: "Then raid one of his warehouses. Just say it was a tip from an informant, and don't mention me, the method I used this time wasn't great."

Torsten: "I guessed as much, all right, raiding a warehouse will still hurt them."

Jimmy looked around, there was no one nearby, he spoke softly about the location of the warehouse, but he did not give Torsten the keys or the code to the safe. As for how Torsten would get a search warrant to raid the warehouse, it was none of Jimmy's concern anymore.

Jimmy: "Handle it as soon as you can. I'm going to release someone soon, you won't have much time."

Torsten glanced at his watch, considered for a moment, "Give me three hours."

Jimmy nodded: "OK."

Torsten pressed a paper money under the coffee cup, stood up, and left. Jimmy waited a while before leaving the coffee shop.

There was still time to spare, he went and bought a backpack, found a secluded spot to put the money and gun in the bag, destroyed the boxes and clothes he had taken from the warehouse, and then returned to the abandoned factory.

On the way, he saw a fast food truck, Jimmy bought two portions of food, and took them to the abandoned factory.

Bob was still there, tied up hands and feet; the only way he could leave was if he hopped away, which he wasn't daring to do just yet.

Jimmy could bring him out from the bed, so naturally, he could do other things too. Bob had already cooperated with Jimmy, and there was no need to provoke him further; he just had to wait here for Jimmy to return.

If he couldn't wait for Jimmy to come back, he'd figure out how to leave on his own; a bit more time wouldn't make a difference.

When Jimmy returned, what he saw was Bob lying where he'd left him. Seeing that Bob hadn't moved much, Jimmy didn't trouble him. He reached out, pulled him up, took out a folding knife, cut the ties on his hands, and handed him some food, "Considering you helped me make a good profit, here's your dinner."

Bob actually said thanks before devouring the taco hungrily.

Jimmy then took out another zip tie, this time tying his hands in front, "We might as well chat while we're idle. Bob, tell me about the turf here in Dallas."

Bob had completely resigned himself to his fate; staying alive was what mattered. After paying such a heavy price, he didn't mind spilling a bit more. The two of them sat on the ground talking, and Jimmy even shared a cigarette with him.

Jimmy's conversation made Bob even surer of his speculation. This Chinese Jimmy was clearly a vanguard of the Chinese mafia. They must be planning something, probably looking to directly enter Dallas and claim a piece of territory. His only uncertainty was that there weren't many Chinese in Dallas; generally, Chinese gangs seized territories where Chinese populations were densest.

As far as the territory was concerned, his own life was obviously more important, so Bob didn't hold back, smoking and telling Jimmy about the various forces in Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

After chatting for a while, Jimmy suddenly said, "Bob, with your goods gone, will Mo Davis let you off?"

Bob casually said, "Of course not, so I need to run fast." As soon as he said it, he realized and immediately stared at Jimmy. Oops, he had slipped up.

Jimmy, seeing Bob's anxious expression, felt like laughing. He was a boss after all, not the biggest boss in the gang, but still someone with territory. Just like Razor in New York, seeing the bad times coming, he was ready to run.

Jimmy thought it over; he hadn't planned to kill him, just wanted to boost Torsten's performance. Since Bob was already preparing to run, there was no need to waste it. He'd follow Razor's example.

Jimmy walked out of the factory, pulled out his cell phone, and called Ray of the FBI Dallas office to meet up. Of course, not in the factory, but somewhere outside.

Though unsure which team Ray was currently overseeing, a small gang boss like this was always useful. Ray was the agent Lambert had assigned to work with him when Jimmy came to Dallas, only to be injured during an armored car robbery incident.

Jimmy met with Ray and asked him to wait outside. After Jimmy left, Ray would go in to make the arrest.

Jimmy played it two ways, handing Bob directly to Ray, again on a confidential basis, only saying it was an informant-tip arrest.

What Ray did with Bob after that, that had nothing to do with Jimmy anymore. Just like with Ruiz, he never asked about the deal between him and Razor; after all, Razor made it out intact too.

Jimmy went back to the hotel to rest, and the next day, he packed up, drove out, and left Dallas, heading straight to Houston.

The Azte gang was well-known, but they were also well aware they were a thorn in federal authorities' side, so the gang leaders' whereabouts were very secretive. Torsten couldn't find any relevant information in the DEA's database; otherwise, Jimmy wouldn't need to be investigating from the bottom up like this.

Now that he had found a lead on a boss in Houston, not far from the top leader of the Azte, in this fourth largest city in the US and the largest in Texas, Jimmy truly didn't have any acquaintances here. Going forward, he had to rely on his own, feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement.
