Jimmy: "Do you want a check or Gold Coin?"
Kael: "Wait, Gold Coin?"
Jimmy: "Seems like you're not familiar with that, so a check it is."
Jimmy took out his checkbook, wrote Kael a check, and despite the nearly ten thousand dollar price tag being expensive, it was worth every penny.
Using a dolly, they shifted the wooden crate into the trunk of the car. Jimmy said goodbye to Kael and left Philadelphia, officially heading for Quantico.
This time, Jimmy had a much better welcome; after reporting his name to security, he smoothly drove into the academy. When he came to study at the academy initially, he had to park outside, but now that he was an instructor, a member of the teaching staff, it was no issue to drive his own car in.
Jimmy first dragged his suitcase to find Cole. Before his arrival, he had already called Cole to schedule a time and arrange accommodation.
Thinking back to his last visit for the airplane hijacking case, and now he was returning to become an instructor, life was indeed unpredictable.
He waited in Cole's office for a while before Cole sauntered back in leisurely.
Cole, seeing Jimmy sitting in his office, exclaimed with surprise, "Jimmy, you got here so quick?"
Jimmy stood up with a smile and hugged Cole, "I've been recuperating at home for a while, headed straight here as soon as I could get out. How have you been recently?"
Cole: "You arrived just in time. The new class has already started, and you can join right in."
Jimmy: "What will I be responsible for?"
Cole: "Of course, as a firearms instructor."
Jimmy: "I can handle being a firearms instructor, but I won't be able to shoot for a while; my bones need some more time to heal, probably about a month."
Cole frowned: "That serious?"
Jimmy nodded: "You don't know who I was up against. A nearly professional Boxer who started training in boxing from childhood and underwent formal Agent training from his teens, a master among masters."
Cole took a deep breath, "You actually took down a guy like that?"
Jimmy twisted his mouth and said, "I wish I had, but somebody else shot to save me. Otherwise, you'd be attending my funeral now. That's also why I've come back; I need more training, stricter training."
Cole nodded, "I understand. In situations like that, no one can guarantee their survival. I'll arrange it; for now, you'll start with teaching. We can discuss shooting once you've recovered."
Jimmy nodded: "By the way, where do I stay? Surely not in the student dorms, right?"
Cole: "Of course not. Come on, I've already had someone prepare it for you in advance."
Cole led Jimmy to the instructors' dormitory, which was much nicer than the student dorms—a 40-square-meter room with a full bath, a large window, a double bed with complete bedding, a big wardrobe, which of course was empty at the moment, a desk, and a television. If he didn't know he was at the Quantico academy, he'd think he had arrived at a hotel room.
Cole: "This room is yours now. Set it up as you like, and if you want to change anything, just contact the logistics department."
Jimmy: "It's very nice already, thanks."
Cole: "You rest up for a bit; I'll take you to register tomorrow."
Jimmy: "Okay."
Cole hugged Jimmy and left his room. Jimmy pulled up the suitcase, took out clothes and weapons, placed them in the wardrobe, organized all his belongings, and then threw himself onto the bed, laying down to rest for a while. After driving for several hours, he was indeed tired.
After resting a while, Jimmy went out for a stroll around the academy. Last time he was here on a mission, so he mostly just went to the classrooms and the firing range. Now, with some free time, he could wander around everywhere else.
Having eaten dinner at the cafeteria, Jimmy called Nia to check in before heading back to the dorm to rest, getting ready for the familiar life at the academy to begin.
