North America Gunman Detective

Chapter 456: Who is targeting Jimmy?

Gordon watched for a while, then stood up and left the command center to return to the meeting room, while Jimmy still watched with interest as they operated the system to query relevant information, which you couldn't see in the FBI. Being able to watch more was also a gain.

Especially the one in front of him querying information, it had much more complete data than the FBI, and seemed to really be linked to the NSA. As the most comprehensive intelligence agency in America, the NSA had far more than the FBI and CIA.

The employee who had been speaking with Noah was operating the three computers in front of him, with three monitors displaying different content, one showing the cell signal map, and also the mobile connection information for the corresponding base station, the second showing live traffic camera footage, with the option to switch between views, and the third displaying current image information and retrieving historical video records.

It really put these intelligence officers in a difficult spot, needing to sift through massive amounts of information to locate the signal source corresponding to specific mobile numbers, and also to distinguish if the same person appeared in different scenes, just the thought of it was a headache.

This staff member filtered through the information for a while, seeming to have an idea, he took off the single-sided headset he was wearing and placed it on the desk, then stood up and left his position. After a while, he returned with two people, and the three of them moved the keyboards and monitors aside to start looking for information together. It seemed the Anti-Terrorism Bureau was well staffed.

Jimmy found another point of envy, although he didn't know the number of staff in the Anti-Terrorism Bureau, it really seemed well-staffed, especially for this kind of situation. Of course, it might also be because they were responsible for a smaller scope of tasks, so it seemed like there were more people. The FBI Manhattan office also had many people, but the FBI was responsible for a much broader range of issues, and divided into different offices and teams, so Jimmy and his colleagues saw a lot fewer people on a regular basis.

As Jimmy was envious, he suddenly received a call from Hughes and walked out of the command center into a deserted area.

Hughes: "Jimmy, where are you? Come back right now."

Jimmy: "I'm at the Anti-Terrorism Bureau, following up on that bomb case, what's up?"

Hughes: "Alright, stop talking, hand the case over to Agent Gordon and come back immediately."

Jimmy: "Okay, I'll return to the bureau right away."

Jimmy took one last glance at the command center, turned around downstairs and came to the meeting room.

Jimmy: "Agent Gordon, the boss Hughes called, I need to get back to the bureau as soon as possible, I'll leave this to you."

Gordon nodded: "Thanks, Jimmy, you go ahead. Goodbye."

Jimmy waved goodbye to the others and left the meeting room, took the elevator down to the underground parking garage, and drove back to the bureau.

Jimmy arrived outside Hughes' office, and before he could knock, Hughes had already stood up, "Conference room."

They came to the conference room, and it was odd, Ruiz from the Manhattan office and Garrett Fuller from the OPR department were already sitting there, along with a middle-aged man in a suit.

Hughes stood beside the conference table and tapped on it, "Sit, play it." He showed no intent to introduce the man, leaving Jimmy bewildered, seated looking at the television ahead.

The first thing on the screen was a female news anchor, "Yesterday this station received a special video of a shooting incident, please director, switch the view." The ensuing footage made Jimmy gasp in shock.

The footage was taken from across the warehouse, angled toward the entrance, where the people in the frame circled two individuals momentarily to indicate the three parties present, one person standing by a car and the other two across from him, a few meters apart.

Others might not know, but Jimmy recognized at a glance that it was the video of him subduing six people in the warehouse.

The video was edited, with the parts of Jimmy talking to two people cut out, starting directly with the two charging at Jimmy, who moved to the side, the two following him, changing from side by side to one after the other, and within a dozen seconds both were taken down by Jimmy.

The footage paused again, now with four more people emerging from the warehouse door, circled after being marked, and the footage continued. One of them fired a shot, with the frame even pausing on the muzzle flash to draw a circle.

Since there was no sound with the footage, how many shots were fired wasn't clear just from watching.

After that, Jimmy rolled to the back of the car, dodging several shots before quickly firing and wounding four men, in just seconds, all four emerging from the warehouse were downed, and then he aimed his gun at the two he had taken down, footage paused. Due to the distance, the figures were barely visible, the faces unclear.

This was the first time Jimmy had seen the actual combat situation from yesterday. It looked like his previous estimations had been conservative, the conflict to taking control of the scene all happened in less than a minute, while he had estimated the whole event lasted about 2 minutes from start to finish.

After the footage ended, the anchor continued: "At the moment, we have no information on this shooting incident, the police haven't provided any leads. Seeing such a gunfight, we must ask: 'Who is this guy?' Who can swiftly kill four adults? And they were in an armed gunfight. We will continue to follow this news, up next... "

The image in the television was paused automatically, it was just a recording of the news, and at the FBI they had only taken this part.

Hughes: "Jimmy, explain."
