RISE OF THE MARTIAL GOD

Chapter 116: LEAVING HUO FU

Anthony quickly called back the shurikens which were knocked back by Huo Fu's stick. Without warning, he tossed them out again using a combination of five moves in the shuriken assassination technique, to form a new formation which he had just discovered. Shuriken assassination technique contained nine moves, each more lethal than the other. However, Anthony only used five moves for fear that Huo Fu would be reduced to meat and bones if the formation goes out of his control. Not just that, each of the moves needed immense input of soul power and spiritual energy to control, causing a huge strain on the body. Slowly testing them out was the best way to go.

Huo Fu quickly took a defensive stance and summoned his axe, transferring the wood to his left hand while the right held his axe. The shurikens closed in on him and he quickly began to knock them away while searching for a weak point. Just as Anthony was about to add a killing move to it, Huo Fu suddenly launched the wood at the eye of the formation and delivered a punch towards Anthony.

Anthony grunted and spat out blood, immediately losing his balance mid air. Before he could regain his stance, he found himself hitting the floor hard from the impact of the fist. He coughed out another mouthful of blood and grunted in pain. Huo Fu was truly worthy of his title as a veteran. He found the eye of the formation, and targeted it, while simultaneously delivering an attack to him, making him not to know which one to guard against.

"Damn it. I have lost my real life battle touch because I have not been in a life and death match for a while." Anthony muttered and tried to sit up, groaning in pain.

"Little boy, how is it? Are you satisfied? Is this enough to keep you obedient? Once you've recovered from the attack go wash my clothes. Don't be rash next time."

Anthony chuckled and sat up.

"Obedient? Dream on. I already said I will leave this place no matter what happens."

Huo Fu frowned.

"You truly do not want to shed tears till you see the coffin, right? It would be a shame to cripple you or make you bedridden, all my clothes are dirty."

Anthony chuckled and stood up.

"Maybe, you rejoiced too early."

Before he finished his words, he unsealed his cultivation and spiritual power at the same time, making crackles of thunder and grey wind encircle him. It was almost as if heaven was protesting the existence of such powers.

The moment Anthony unsealed his cultivation, his wounds quickly healed and he appeared behind Huo Fu. The old man got surrounded by the shurikens again.

But this time, Anthony didn't use just that. He delivered a spiritual attack to him to disorient him. That's right, Anthony has learned how to use the soul sucking bell. Although he was not yet perfect on it, it was still enough to catch Huo Fu off guard. But he didn't stop there, he added the twin dragon daggers to the mist, using it to slash madly. After being forced to chop wood with a blunt knife, he came to enlightenment and created a dagger technique unique to only him. The berserker's slash.

With an expert manipulation of space, he appeared before Huo Fu and tapped on his accupoints, immobilizing him. Anthony kicked him away and dived towards him, his dagger pointed to Huo Fu's neck with an expression of deep hatred and resentment. Huo Fu's heart jumped, he had been immobilized and Anthony was rushing to attack his vital point in a one strike kill, obviously full of hatred at what he thought was maltreatment.

He sighed and closed his eyes, reasoning that dying wasn't all that bad. However, for three minutes, nothing happened to him. Anthony should have descended in mere seconds, why didn't he feel the expected stab to his neck?

He opened his eyes to see Anthony bent over him, trying to hold back a giggle, there was no weapon in his hand and he already called back the shurikens. Unable to hold it back Anthony laughed loudly, pointing at his face which had a look of confusion. If not because of his current immobility due to his sealed acupoints, he would have swiped his palm over his face to see if there was anything funny on him.

"How about that? I got you. You should see the look of your face, that helpless resignation, then dissapointment, pain and confusion. Damn! I should have had my phone with me. Such a face should be captured by a camera and carefully framed to be looked at in the future. Hahahaha." Anthony laughed again, collapsing beside old Fu.

"Why didn't you kill me?" The man whispered, voicing the question that had been plaguing his mind.

"Because I want you to become my own slave, it's turn by turn." Anthony replied, putting on a tough and serious exterior.

The old man's face immediately turned angry, and he gritted his teeth.

"I want you to know what it feels like to be a servant being kept against your will."

He suddenly laughed and pointed at the old man's red face.

"I got you again. There's no need to get worked up, just kidding. Who wants an old servant like yourself? What would your lazy old bones achieve for me? You don't have to worry, I have no interest in making you suffer."

"Why? Don't you hate me?" The old man asked, turning to him.

"I might look arrogant, and rash but I'm not stupid and unreasonable. Although staying here benefited you, I was the one who's leaving with the most. You introduced me to physique cultivation, and each beating was taking me through the path of body forging. Each hit you delivered and each task you gave me such as that of slashing the trees with a blunt knife, all transform into amazing techniques when cleverly combined. My stamina and endurance increased, alongside other improvements. I might have done manual labor, but I wasn't shortchanged. Except for the unexpected poison, you have done me nothing that is gravely wrong. Why should I kill you? I only fought you because that was necessary if I wanted to leave this place." Anthony slowly explained.

"How did you restore your cultivation? What about the poison?"

Anthony smiled again.

"I'm someone that has always been favored by the universe. I found the cure soon after I got poisoned. Isn't that amazing?" Anthony asked, getting to his feet.

"Can I get the item that can let me leave?" Anthony asked, smiling slightly.

"You have to release me first."

Anthony tapped his accupoints, and he stretched his body, sighing in relief.

He looked up at Anthony with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"Releasing me like this…aren't you afraid that I will renege and revenge?"

"I don't think you have gotten that despicable yet. But even if you have, I'm not too concerned." Anthony whispered with a confident smile on his face.

The man sighed and pointed at Anthony's left hand. An originally invisible black chain mark appeared around his wrist, and with a flash of red light, it scattered and disappeared. A black hexagon also disappeared from Huo Fu's wrist, cutting off the restriction.

Once he was done, he sat cross legged and began to cultivate while Anthony returned to the house. Fifteen minutes later, Anthony came out dressed in one of the ancient Chinese style warrior robes made of a very expensive but unknown fabric from Lan Xuanyu, his rare boots with thermal regulatory property and protection functions designed with spirit beast skin, the piece of jade from Lan Xuanyu was hanging beautifully from his belt, the soul calling bell on his wrist, alongside the red rope with jade pendant which he didn't know the reason Lan Xuanyu packed it for him. His little bag was made of unknown material and the rope to pull the mouth shut had two tiny pieces of jade at the tip. The bag was attached to the horse he took from the stable, a brown horse of rare breed, one of the best in the stable, a fact which Anthony determined from months of caring for them. There were also two wooden gourds filled with water and the horse was cleanly saddled.

"Old Fu, your clothes, I already washed them early in the morning when I went in to clean your room and saw the pile of dirty clothes. They have all been dried and packed on the wooden rack in your room. Also, the animal pens have been filled with enough water and food to last one week. I cleaned everywhere too and fetched enough water to last you a month, the one for your bath is in the drum beside your bathtub, the one for drinking is in the water pot in your room, behind the door. The cups and jugs are all there. As for food, I dried enough meat and made bread to last you a month. But the bread shouldn't be more than a month to avoid getting mouldy. Also, I made food enough to last you three days, set out on your table. The shed is stocked with firewood, it will last a year if used well. I also packed food in the kitchen, locked in the wooden box away from rats, and the potatoes are covered with a basket. Threshed rice and grounded corn, barley, dried spices. There's also lots of rock salt which I found in the jar. All you need to do is set a fire and mix the items in a pot. There's also water in the kitchen and I connected a pipe from the river to the kitchen. You only need to push the borehole up and down for water to come out, there's no need to enter the valley. The dried meat and fish in your room were stored with special containers, they will last a long time, same with the fruits and cheese. Don't go hungry because you're too lazy to cook, don't get sick or wear the same cloth for months. Water which is your main problem have been connected to the kitchen. Although I know that these little things would only last a while, I truly hope they would be of help and make your life easier. If fate wills it, let us meet again." Anthony said and cupped his fist.
