[BORN TO BE KING] S7 - ARDENT OF THE END

INTERLUDE: IMPERIUS ACADEMY AND HER TEACHERS 2

INTERLUDE: IMPERIUS ACADEMY AND HER TEACHERS 2

A Report Written By Maiden Braya through observations over a year's worth of time.

Imperius Academy and Lore:

It is difficult to properly understand the Imperius Academy's background, simply because of its prior history as the Royal Academy and its new history under His Highness Lawruthian's direction. The Academy was once a place where only those with the proper reputation and family support attended. Hence, realistically speaking, it was only a place for nobles and rich merchants.

So, how has His Highness Lawruthian changed the academy acceptance rate to hold nearly sixty-five percent of commoners now?

That is a question for another time. Imperius Academy has a rich history of creating a new standard for the educational values and quality of class holders they produces. There is no common or uncommon [Imperius Student] class.

Let me repeat that… There is no Common or Uncommon [Imperius Student] class .

Whether it is the [Worker] class archetype or [Warrior], [Mage], or any other you may think of. Imperius Academy lacks a more standard version of its classes. This has built up a reputation for [Imperius Academy]. It also plays into a smaller, less-known moniker of His Highness Lawruthian.

The [Golden Finger] is perhaps His Highness Lawruthian's least-known moniker, but it plays an increasingly significant role in the legend surrounding the young prince. Everything he touches and affects turns to gold. Although a rumor and a legend, it holds well in the high society of rich merchants and beyond.

Imperius Academy is surrounded by myths and legends. There are three that we will primarily explore. The first is the Imperius Bracelet. After that, it will be the separate halls, and finally, the hidden rumors/controversies. This information was collected through the many months of research attending the Academy as a guest professor, and the final piece was helped craft by the [ Imperius Journalist ], a brand-new class held by Karla. The young woman has become a remarkable example of the possibilities of Imperius Academy and a great help in uncovering the rumors below. Without further ado, let us dive deep into Imperius Academy.

The Imperius Bracelet is a remarkable magical artifact that is connected to a complex spell of the likes the Scholar's Abode has never seen before. It is a spell that holds 11 different nodes, a fact that should be impossible. That is the spell on the level of the divine. Although the bracelet itself doesn't conform to such a standard, by utilizing (Mage Eyes), a deep analysis spell, I've been able to see trace amounts of the connecting hierarchy. The Imperius Bracelet from my study of my guest lecturer's bracelet holds many analytical-type spells.

The first spell is (Scholar's Codex). Yes, a spell of our very own crafting is used in the making of this complex bracelet. (Scholar's Codex) It is the Abode's very own information-collecting spell. It can have several parameters set upon it to collect specific information related to any topic. The Abode has decimated this tier five spell hundreds of years ago to the wider Edryan state, as we nearly share all knowledge freely among Abode members. These members are more than allowed to share knowledge with the country itself.

(Mage Link) is a tethering spell that allows mages a more cohesive ritual casting. It is the second most important spell I've detected in the Imperius Bracelet. (Mage Link) allows the communication of thoughts over a short distance and can be considered rudimentary Mind magic, most of which is banned in the Edryan State. The last widely known users of Mind Magic were those of House Maar.

Finally, the last but not least is (Mana Imprint). (Mana Imprint) records the unique signature of an individual's mana signature. It creates a bond between the user and the Imperius Bracelet, which is the key to the point distribution of Imperius Academy.

Now, there are more undertones to the Imperius Bracelet; however, all attempts at uncovering more of these fascinating devices have met… a rather… strict discipline through the forces of the Academy. Principal Camilla Romus is rather strict about the intrusion of such devices, yet… she has become a strange collaborator.

There are several dozen halls spread throughout Imperius Academy. The most famous of which are Carina Hall, named after Princess Carina, and Darius Hall, named after King Darius.

The Carina Hall serves as the introduction hall to all incoming students. It is a hall that represents the justice of Princess Carina. An apt decision to introduce new students to Imperius Academy. Princess Carina stood for the acceptance of all and the common man's struggles. She was recorded as the most popular Edryani in recorded history. Beloved by nobles and commoners alike, she was one of the few to make it to Demigoddess-hood without shedding blood herself. Unfortunately, she was before my time; I'd have loved to be one of the many Abode scholars under her employ.

Carina Hall is a white, towering building made of polished marble. It holds carved decorations of a few of the laws and ideas Princess Carina put in place during her time, which include the Labor Act , A Noble's Burden , and more. The hall stands over three dozen meters in height, and its length is enough to hold ten thousand with comfort. It serves as the staging ground for club recruitment day and certain grand events such as graduation and more. A statue of Princess Carina serves as the watchful guardian at the entrance of the hall.

King Darius is a Legend. The demigod held a direct hand in the fall of the God of Wealth Oogoon and our Goddess Madris, seizing his domain. He is the one to bring one of the Wildland tribes, the Musa, into the greater Edryan state. Although there are few wild-land tribes left, the Musa were by far the greatest of those who remained. Darius Battle Hall serves as the staging ground for first-year students. It holds several facilities and can host several different battles all at once. A keynote of the Battle Hall is its gravity training rooms. These rooms are where a majority of pre-classed students related to fighting classes spend their time attempting to gain whatever few points of Power they can before their System Day.

Darius Battle Hall is filled with just a few of his legends as he grew to become the demigod he is. Had he not fallen during the Battle of Oceans Depths , King Darius may very well be alive to this day. Although he lives on as a Messenger of Madris, his time in the Mortal Realm has come to an end. These legends and more are explained the moment you step into the hall. Another keynote to mention is the heat that fills your chest the moment you step into the hall. A feeling of strength enters your body, and the fearlessness of King Darius is stated to be imbued into the walls of the giant colosseum-like building.

There are several more halls of keynote importance, but they do not serve as much purpose in shaping the mindset of Imperius Academy Students as the aforementioned do. The two halls are believed to strictly represent His Highness Lawruthian's mindset in what shapes his actions within our great nation. A willingness to help those in need, and the strength to come forward and do so.

Alas, for this portion of the report, the holder of the new and unique class [Imperius Journalist] has helped conduct the ending of this report. Student Karla is a pleasure to work with, but she is quite… expressive in her imagination and her storytelling. Although she makes it exciting, she sometimes finds the need to… exaggerate the details in an attempt to make the story more exciting. This has worked in her gaining a massive following for Imperius Academy Weekly, the newspaper service that has plans to expand into the capital. Copies of such 'newspapers' have become a widespread underground market of trade as nobles and others wish to read the stories and get the latest news of Imperius Academy. This brought Karla immense pressure, but as a young woman directly signed to work for the Crown Prince, the pressure from nobles significantly lessened once this was announced. The paper provided by the Consus family has deeply impacted the market and brought great revenue, as small copycats have shown themselves throughout Edryan. For now, Karla, ranked 15 in the Academy as a second-year student, will take over to discuss the rumors and controversy of the Imperius Academy.

WELCOME ALL! I'm your new host, Karla, your beloved [ Imperius Journalist ], and do I have some 'tea' time stories for you! It is a pleasure to help Maiden Braya uncover the hidden rumors of Imperius Academy. I'll be undergoing three separate rumors with you for this report. One will be relationships, another will be the haunted grounds, and finally, the various clubs on the academy grounds!

In Imperius Academy Weekly, I save the juiciest gossip for last, and that's exactly what'll be happening here. Let's start with the haunted grounds. A slippery ghost has been around since the Imperius Academy was the Royal Academy, and no amount of exorcism from the priestess in training has been able to get rid of Pluto the Friendly Ghast. Pluto is believed to be the first-ever commoner who attended the Royal Academy over six centuries ago. His ending was anything but fortunate. Pluto always held a bright smile on his face, according to the academy records. He was beloved by the Academy teachers, it states.

Then how has Pluto become our academy's very own friendly ghast? A murder mystery that spans centuries and has never been uncovered until now! Or at least our resident detective, Indo Jones, discovered the hidden passageway under Ty Hall. Back to Pluto, despite numerous attempts to banish him, the train's clergy have all been unsuccessful. Even spells such as (Banish Evil) do not affect the friendly dog-like ghast!

Next, we have the many clubs of Imperius Academy, including my very new journalism club! Imperius Academy holds a TON of unique clubs that various students participate in. There are multiple clubs for every warrior, weapon, in class available on campus. Clubs are a way for students to earn extra Imperius Points and create bonds and connections that last well outside the Academy. Each club has a specific goal or requirement to meet. This goal is established by club members and the club advisor.

A few of the most popular clubs on campus are the Radiant Swords, Crown Prince Fan Club, and the True Smith Association. As their names suggest, each of these clubs is tailored to a specific goal. The Radiant Swords is a group that specializes in sword combat and flashy attacks. The flashier the better is their motto. The Crown Prince Fan Club is by far the most popular, and it holds the highest number of Academy students. The club is run by Boralis Caden, the sister of Sword Saint Aurora. She is a talented [Enchantress] who was one of the greatest performers at His Highness Lawruthian's coronation.

The True Smith Association is the club that holds numerous smith classes. [Blacksmiths], [Weapon-smiths], and more specialized Imperius classes have joined in a massive correlation. They have organized several items available on the campus market. Setting a standard for the weapons available, inscriptions, and more.

That's the story for now! If you want to find out more, wait for our first issue of Edrya Weekly to hit the streets at the start of the new year!
