[BORN TO BE KING] S7 - ARDENT OF THE END

EPISODE 206: CLANG! 4

EPISODE 206: CLANG! 4

— GREAT EDRYAN, YEAR: 7292. SEASON: NEW BEGINNING.

Two pink arms emerged into the air, their look a match for Titiana's physical body. They were massive and made the Calamity look like a young kitten being grasped at by large adult hands. (Divine Skill: Love's Embrace) presence was like the gentle touch of her lover as Liana felt its strength, yet for Frigid Lady, it became a terrifying calamity that sought the wyvern's life.

The attack was sudden, unexpected, and too fast for the creature to respond properly before it got struck. Titiana was aiming for a killing blow, one meant to immediately end the fight by dealing devastating damage.

Pink arms engulfed Krystyna, who, for the first time, let out a terrifying roar of challenge. The arms closed, tightly embracing the magi present and the wyvern like a mother's hug. It was warm and welcoming, seemingly able to put all worries away. To Krystyna, it was like the devil's embrace, a terrifying calamity the wyvern must overcome to survive another day.

Calamity: Krystyna -13,013 Health Points.

The World turned Hostile.

The pink arms dispersed into mist but Queen Titiana didn't let up. She tsked, disappointed her planned killing blow hadn't slain the Calamity immediately but her eyes darted to Liana who shot forward, wind propelling her as she struck with her killing blow.

"(Battle Body: Love Guard)," Liana activated as she approached. Barely a second passed since her Queen's attack landed but thus far everything was going to plan. A bright, pink bar appeared in Liana's HUD—her body surged with strength and grew in size until she stood twelve meters tall. Her aura spread over the battlefield, muffled within Krystyna's (Winter Realm). The domain-type ability continuously devoured the mana barrier that protected her, attempting to do its best to drain her of all strength.

Liana Garna Drumian — Level 307

HP: 11340/12,600

SP: 10400/12,000

MP: 9484/12,000

Love Gauge: 38 Points

Those who achieve a level beyond the Mortal Limit were able to walk a path destined for them—a destiny they chose through their actions and convictions as they leveled in the Genesis Realm. Liana's Path, [Path of the Love Guard], was one bonded to her love. And, she filled her Love Gauge with points just as Titiana did with her Law points. These points would allow them to display invaluable skills that could tremendously boost their strength or display abilities that could nearly slap a Calamity to death. It was why restrictions were placed on those beyond mortality as they displayed abilities past what the upper threshold of the world could hold.

Liana's Love Gauge was simple in its ability to acquire points—all she had to do was actions, genuine actions that would receive love from Titiana. They'd tested it out from the several years since they achieved a strength beyond mortality and came to several understandings. One of those understandings was actions that produced genuine feelings from Queen Titiana and would add points to Liana's Love Gauge. These actions could be simple acts of affection such as kissing, gift-giving, physical touch, sex, and more. In essence, Liana Drumian did her best to figure out her partner's love language. And, in doing so, she would gain tremendous strength.

Liana directly tied the rest of her progression in life to her Queen— this was the strength of her love. This was her bond and pledge to always protect her since they were once youths sneaking outside of the palace grounds with flames at their backs and worry for their countrymen in their hearts.

The world turned hostile, but Liana's love fought through it. She only pledged five Love Gauge Points to double her strength, deeming that to be enough to finish off Frigid Lady. Gaining Love Gauge Points was extremely difficult, not through the action of keeping Titiana happy, although that was part of it—it was accumulation. Since they achieved that limit and broke beyond it, Liana had a total of less than seventy Love Gauge Points. Whether it was the restrictions of the Mortal Realm or if it was another esoteric reason that they didn't understand, gaining these points was a difficult task. They had to save as much as possible for the Path of Apotheosis—Ascension was in sight, but Liana knew the world would be against the magi, doing their best to slay them.

She brought her blade down, green wind on its edge that enhanced her strength to a terrifying degree. The blade sank deeply, the wind surging forth as Liana attempted to decapitate the wyvern. Her sword-shield was built for such a purpose originally, and Liana grew used to the large, unwieldy weapon as the years passed. The three of them neared eighty, yet they kept the appearance of a young woman in their early to mid-thirties.

Liana knew something was wrong the instance her blade touched the neck of Krystyna—she'd fought a thousand battles and slayed her fair share of wyverns. There was an unmistakable feeling when slicing flesh or living beings in general. Liana sensed none of them here, but it was far too late to withdraw her strike. Instead, Liana attempted to swing her blade faster as a sense of crisis erupted from within the shell of Krystyna's former body.

The crystalline body of Krystyna shattered; the spell of Margret dispersing with it. Liana's eyes widened as a small, nearly impeccable tail blade struck its way toward her body. She attempted to surge her strength but it was far too late as the sharp tail of Krystyna pierced through her armored form.

Liana Drumian -3,793 Health Points.

Liana Drumian has been inflicted with {Frost Poison} -100 Health Points per 30 seconds. All healing effects receive a 75% de-buff to their effect.

Queen Titiana's eyes widened, her body already reacting as she surged forth with her spear extended—a magic shield surrounding her body. Krystyna's tail removed itself from Liana's body, flicking away red blood as a smaller, sleeker form of the wyvern revealed itself.

Frigid Lady was still similar to her previous form, with two sharp wing arms that were like crystalline blades and a single pair of strong hind legs. The only difference was the deep, intense blue she radiated as the very essence of cold seemed to radiate from her.

"How is that possible," the voice of Margret exclaimed. The magi human appeared next to the Queen, ready to assist. It was dangerous for her to be this close, but the demigoddess couldn't care less at such a stage.

Liana groaned, her weapon still held by one hand while the other clutched at a large frozen gash that pierced through her body. If she was a mortal such a blow would have inflicted a {Mortal Reminder} and slain her. Instead, it left her with a large hole in her body and a terrible de-buff that sapped at her strength.

Liana Garna Drumian — Level 307

HP: 7547/12600

SP: 10400/12000

MP: 9484/12000

Love Gauge: 38 Points

"(Heart's Embrace)," Titiana subtly spoke, her eyes remaining fixed on the wyvern that shed its form.

A large pink heart emerged from her hand and shot toward Liana gradually growing inside until it covered the twelve-meter giantess. Slowly, it began to provide a healing light to Liana's injuries, but its effects were slow. The {Frost Poison} of Frigid Lady was extremely strong and could not be removed lightly. Unfortunately, Marna was assigned to another Calamity and was not present to provide focused healing to remove the affliction.

Titiana kept a wary gaze fixed on Frigid Lady, who seemed to be slowly stretching. Krystyna would flap a sole wing, not to maintain flight but to properly adjust to her smaller size. The Wyvern was only slightly larger than Liana, and the dangerousness that Titiana felt from her increased by several grades. The wyvern was absorbing the mana of the world, quickly utilizing it to heal her injuries. Titiana sighed, everything about this battle just raised a degree higher in its dangerousness.

She spoke as she finished her sigh, knowing her Love Points would decrease significantly by the end of this ordeal—yet it would also put Edryan in a much richer position when her son took over as King.

A whispered voice emerged into the battlefield, attracting all gazes to this location like a moth to flame. "(True Body: Divine Form — Love)."

This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

And, the world changed colors.

The sky, once blue, was now pink.

The ground, once green and brown with vegetation as new life surged… turned pink.

"Do not gaze this way," the gentle voice of Queen Titiana continued. "Or it will punish you for your impudence. (Divine Skill: Heart of the Nation — National Unity), I apologize to those who have already looked. Should I have achieved Apotheosis and planted my seed to bloom into a tree, then you would have lost your minds— let this be the only warning—never gaze at one activating their True Body ."

Her voice resounded in the ears of every magi-human present, the attention of Frigid Lady focused on her. Her voices were gentle, but the deliverance of their contents was anything but.

The body of a God was not something the mortal mind could comprehend. It was unfathomable, unable to be properly perceived least one went mad. To gaze into the abyss was to invite its gaze back. Although it was not their fault, the Central Gate Army and the Imperius Army learned of this the hard way.

Some soldiers directly spat out a mouth full of blood; their seven orifices bled as they gazed at the Queen. Others, those of the Imperius Army far too weak to survive such an action unscathed, directly fell from the sky, screaming. Some clawed at their heads in agony and terror.

As the voice of the Demigoddess of Love resounded, those still able to grasp a hold of themselves regained their minds—halting their fall and steadily shaking on their feet. Around them was nothing but pink—as they found themselves in the domain of a Demigoddess.

Although she wasn't quite a God, Titiana's strength was one beyond mortal limits. And, gazing on her true divine form was [ Blasphemy ].

A third eye opened on her forehead—its light was hot pink. Titiana's armored form shifted to reveal her face as a crown emerged on her head, its jeweled sides extending past her high cheekbones before ending at a wicked sharp edge. A flowing battle dress covered her body, leaving her thighs covered in light metal plates with studded gems throughout them. Her large breasts were covered in a similar style only a small heart-shaped opening was left. There were patterns on the armor, a design that told the story of Titiana from birth to this very moment.

If one looked closely, they could see two girls sneaking from a castle, flames at their backs as a fire burned. In another area, they could see a woman holding a child, the light in her eyes once dim now brightening. These scenes and more were carved through the armor, telling the story of Titiana—telling the story of the Demigoddess of Love.

The armor looked and appeared impractical, but it was anything but. Titiana's strength doubled, then tripled—a wary wyvern watching her. The Demigoddess of Love held the [Heavenspear], its form also changed, in her right hand. On her left was a pink whip with a heart-shaped fall at its end. Her black skin flourished, shining in the light of her radiance.

"Thirty Law points," Titiana sighed, checking her HUD and judging the changes. "The plan was to limit our point usage against these Calamities and save it for the finale," Titiana smiled, a soft gentle thing to her allies, but to her enemies?

It showed the traces of [Iron-Blood] that ran through her system. Titiana continued to speak, seemingly to no one but herself. Liana and Margret remained behind her, unaffected by her change in form. They were no longer mortals and possessed the qualifications to gaze at her.

"Back down," Titiana commanded, as Liana adjusted her body, ready to return to the fight.

"My Queen I ca-"

"Back. Down," she repeated, a wary gaze on Krystyna as the wyvern finished adjusting itself. It appeared to be fully healed, but more than that it grew stronger with each passing second. Titiana recalled the contents of (World Bound), unlike the Thunderwing Lord, Frigid Lady was fully acclaimed to the world and would be a terrifying threat once ten full minutes passed.

Cost:

None, Frigid Lady has firmly bound herself to the realm.

Description:

Becoming bound to the world means being its guardian, the protector of her oceans, forests, and biomes, ensuring its sanctity remains protected and growing.

Titiana planned to end this in one.

Calamities were dangerous to demigods and Prestiges solely due to (World Bound) and its ability to make them neigh invincible. That is why they were called Kingdom Enders. Should one wish to, all it would have to do is activate its (World Bound) skill, wait ten minutes, and then begin its massacre. Fortunately, most Calamity level beasts were content with staying in their rich, high-energy magical zones.

A full minute passed since Krystyna activated her ability and she was now twice as strong. If Titiana didn't end this creature in the next minute then the three of them would find themselves in a fight no longer invading Wyvern's Roost, but defending Edryan from the rage of a Calamity.

Titiana inhaled a single deep breath; her eyes were now held an outline of gold and pink—giving her red-gold eyes a startling appearance. Then, she disappeared, her body moving at an extreme. The world slowed, the gently falling snowfall due to (Winter Realm) became nearly paused in the air, Titiana simply moving through them.

Her spear was outstretched, with a pink-tinted flame igniting alongside its edge. She was in Krystyna's domain, so the wyvern reacted immediately— but they were centered in Titiana's domain —an area where her love ruled supreme. Titiana didn't have to parse through her Intent to know her army was winning. Their strengths surged several folds from her enhancements of Love.

These were her countrymen—her soldiers that she bred in battle after battle. For some, this was their final battle; their ascension into the Promised Land began today. For others, a long-awaited breakthrough happened. The taste of leveling many hadn't felt for years returned like the gentle embrace of a loved one.

Frigid Lady roared, a beam of concentrated ice attributed to destruction spewed from her mouth as she forced Titiana back. The wyvern hurriedly flapped, shooting backward at speed beyond mortal capacity. Her eyes showed a malignant, glaring malice as she dodged with flaming spear tip of Titiana's weapon.

"(Divine Skill: Love Flight)," Titiana activated, bright wings like that of a [Messenger] appeared on her back. They followed her theme, portraying the same hot pink as Titiana's third eye.

Love guides your wings allowing you to appear wherever your feathers may drop.

A burst of feathers spread from her body, falling in all directions as if gravity held no sway on them. Titiana paused in her chase, allowing a wary Krystyna to gain a modicum of distance. The beast hadn't left the range of its skill (Winter Realm), preferring to stay in an attempt to camouflage herself. Titiana waited… one second… two… then three …, but as the third second ended, and her feathers spread a distance across the battlefield, Titiana disappeared. The only thing left in her wake was a feather gently floating.

In the fourth second, a whip wrapped around the neck of Krystyna yanking her toward the divine form of the Demigoddess and her outstretched spear.
