Infinite wealth In A New World

Chapter 254: The Beginning Of The End

[Star Nation - Castle Grounds. Some years back.]

The air on the castle grounds was heavy, thick with the scent of ozone and the grim resolve of powerful warriors. Vancouver stood clad in his sleek, grand-class armor. Beside him stood Patrick, Miami John and Olivia Falcon; Queen Elizabeth of the Xenon race, and lastly, King Hell and Queen Rosita, the formidable rulers of the Beastify Nation—Josephine's parents. All were encased in their protective armors.

Draco, the current Ruler of the Star Nation and Sunny's father, took a step forward, his gaze sweeping over the assembled group.

"We all know this is a very dangerous mission, but I want to ask again," Draco said, his voice deep and solemn. He focused his question primarily on Elizabeth, Hell, and Rosita, knowing these three had entire nations and families relying on their return:

"You are sure about this? You know we might not come back alive. Why don't you—"

"Cut to the point, Draco," Hell cut him off, his tone uncompromising and firm, a testament to the deep bond of respect between the two kings: "We know and agreed to be here. If we don't take down the Wendigos' King, our children's and families' future will be in danger. We choose to fight now."

"...?!"

Olivia blinked, turning to Miami John and whispering, "It seems they're closer than I thought. No one dares speak to King Draco in that tone."

Miami nodded. "Yeah, the Beastify Nation is strong, and this wolf king is an alpha. What do you expect?"

"Shhh." Vancouver immediately shushed the two younger women, his demeanor strict. He looked them over, noting their slightly unnerved expressions.

"You two know what we are walking into. Although you are both enhanced in the tube, you must still focus and close ranks."

"Sir Vancouver," Miami asked, her curiosity overriding her caution.

"Everyone here is a Heavenly to Celestial Rank warrior. Olivia and I are just Grand Masters. What exactly can we do in a mission like this? The strength gap is enormous."

"You two have something in common," Vancouver whispered conspiratorially, a cryptic hint of their true purpose.

"What is that?" Olivia pressed, her sharp mind immediately trying to solve the riddle.

"Okay then! Let's get going!" Draco's voice interrupted their conversation. With a nod, he and his wife, Miranda, walked toward the main warship, followed by the seven warriors.

_

The group entered the massive warship, which immediately ascended into the air. Hundreds of escort warships and battleships from the four allied nations followed in their wake, a unified military might sailing into the void.

[In The Ship.]

Miranda, Queen of the Star Nation, smiled warmly, moving toward Miami and Olivia, her motherly nature seeking to ease their tension.

"How are you two holding up?" she asked.

"We are good, my Queen," Olivia answered respectfully, her eyes focused.

"We will get rewarded, right?" Miami asked, her pragmatic focus on the tangible benefits eliciting a soft giggle from Miranda.

"Of course! You two will receive two Territories each, not only that, the King will bestow personal titles upon you both," Miranda answered, her smile bright and encouraging.

"That will be nice," Miami said with a genuine smile.

"Queen Miranda," Olivia began, cutting to the mission details. "About this mission, what exactly is our main goal? We know it's a stronghold, but what is the strategy?"

"Well..." Miranda sat down opposite the two, her regal bearing shifting into that of a war planner.

"We are going to destroy the Wendigos' first and strongest stronghold. We all received crucial intel that the Wendigos' King will appear today. We want to kill him." She smiled, the simple statement hiding a monstrous ambition.

"No matter how many Wendigos we kill, as long as the king is still alive, he will keep sending more to our world. So we're cutting the trouble from its roots."

Olivia processed Miranda's words, nodding in understanding of the high-stakes objective. She returned to the earlier riddle.

"Sir Vancouver said we have something in common. What may that be?"

Miami leaned in, her curiosity now fully engaged.

"What you have in common is very special. It is—"

"—We are here," Patrick's voice interrupted their conversation, his tone grave. The crew turned their heads to the main screen, staring at the ominous, red planet in the distance—the Wendigos' stronghold.

"Okay, Let's get to work," Miranda said, immediately standing up and walking towards her husband, the lightness in her voice gone.

"I am still curious. What do we have in common?" Miami whispered urgently to Olivia.

"I also don't know," Olivia sighed, her smile replaced by grim resolve. "This is one dangerous mission. But we must return alive! Our families are depending on us."

"I don't have a family; I am the only one," Miami admitted, styling her hair into a practical ponytail.

"Hey, we are in this together, so we are family now," Olivia countered, placing her hand firmly on Miami's shoulder, forging a bond of camaraderie. "Come on. Let's deal with these Wendigos. Bella is waiting to hear our journey story," she added with a hopeful chuckle, thinking of her bestfriend.

"Fufufu... Okay," Miami nodded, the thought of survival now linked to a shared future.

[Wendigos' First Stronghold.]

The allied ships landed precisely on the scarred surface of the planet. The hundreds of soldiers and the nine warriors—the backbone of the coalition—jumped down. Without hesitation, they began unleashing a deafening barrage of fire on the Wendigos' visible base.

"Kill them All!!" Vancouver roared, his sword raised high, leading the charge with savage intensity.

Patrick stared at the main gate, which collapsed from the continuous bombardment, and his instinct screamed a warning. He raised an eyebrow. "Something is not right."

Draco knelt on one knee, placing his palm on the barren ground. "Not only were we not attacked, but I can't feel a single life force in there..." he murmured, his face tight with concern.

"Is this planet deserted?" Rosita asked, bewildered by the lack of resistance.

Miranda slowly raised her head to the sky above the Stronghold. Her face, moments ago bright with confidence, turned utterly pale as the awful truth dawned on her.

"No... We... We just entered a trap," she whispered, her words stunning the group into a fearful silence. They all raised their heads to the sky as the celestial fabric tore open. Tens of thousands of flying, monstrous Wendigos poured down from the new gateway, descending like a nightmare horde.

"Shit!! Attack!!" Hell roared, the war finally beginning.
