Wizard: Adventures in Two Worlds

Chapter 269: 118 Desecration Knight Yana (Please bookmark)_2

"The Star Gate given by the Divine Domain is a wizardly creation from long ago. Not only can it lead to the Wizard World, but also to the Magic Forest. Although it's not as prosperous as the Wizard World, it's not too shabby either."

"The Magic Forest?" Carl's eyes flickered slightly. "Does it belong to the Wizard World?"

"No!" Marian shook her head. "The Magic Forest is located to the north of the Slo Kingdom. You can think of it as the border between the Wizard World and our continent."

Having said that, she sighed and said, "I will also be going there. If you're willing, you can come with me to the Magic Forest. Stay there for a few years before heading to the Wizard World."

"And..."

"There are other benefits to going to the Magic Forest."

"Other benefits?" Carl asked. "What benefits?"

"There's an organization in the Wizard World called the Six Rings Tower. They have an outpost in the Magic Forest," Marian began. "We can enter the Magic Forest as representatives of the Six Rings Tower and help the people at the outpost with their tasks. Afterwards, we can head to the Wizard World as members of the Six Rings Tower."

"Carl!"

"With your Wizard Talent, you can't join the Six Rings Tower. This is the only way, the only chance."

Carl's face showed deep contemplation. Although she hadn't specified what the Six Rings Tower represented, the fact that it made an Official Wizard speak with reverence meant it had to be a significant organization, perhaps wielding considerable influence in the Wizard World.

Six Rings Tower? Could it be that there are Six-Circle Wizards? Six-Circle Wizards are beings who can rival the Divine, immortal existences!

"As compensation for losing your spot," the Storm Wizard Turayan said, expressionless, taking out a potion and setting it down. "This is a bottle of Grimm Potion."

Grimm Potion!

The blue potion was something every Advanced Wizard Apprentice dreamt of.

"Not enough!" With a glint in his eyes, Carl said, "Add a Silence Potion to it."

Grimm Potion and Silence Potion together are the perfect combination, greatly increasing the chances of a breakthrough.

"Silence Potion?" Storm Wizard Turayan shook his head. "You may not realize how rare the materials needed for this potion are; even Official Wizards don't have them."

"Perhaps..." he continued, "you could try your luck in the Magic Forest, where the Magic Materials are much more plentiful than here."

"Just a bottle of Grimm Potion does indeed seem too cheap," Marian seemed to side with Carl, saying, "You can make another request, or... Turayan could compensate with some Magic Stones."

Storm Wizard Turayan frowned slightly, yet he did not dismiss the idea.

"Then..." Carl thought for a moment and said, "I'd like an Advanced Magic Item."

"What?" Turayan's expression changed. The spiritual power of an Official Wizard surged out as if tangible, enveloping the entire room. "An Advanced Magic Item, you really dare ask for it!"

The room seemed to be swept up by a storm. The invisible pressure tensed Carl's skin, and his body constantly signaled danger.

This time, even Marian shook her head slightly. The value of an Advanced Magic Item was even higher than that of a Silence Potion, and even Official Wizards didn't possess many.

"I could pay with Magic Stones," Carl said in a muffled voice. "Three hundred Magic Stones!"

"Hmm?" The Storm Wizard Turayan raised an eyebrow. The price for Advanced Magic Items was in the range of hundreds of Magic Stones, so three hundred was indeed a fair offer.

After thinking it over, he took out a dark golden amulet. "This item is called the Phantom Amulet. It consumes a certain amount of spiritual power to let your body become intangible and dodge attacks."

"An intangible body can become immune to most physical attacks and some Spell attacks, but it has no effect against psychic attacks."

"It is an Advanced Magic Item I acquired some years back. It's not very useful for a Wizard, but as a Great Knight, you should be able to put it to good use."

Phantom Amulet?

Carl fixed his gaze on it. The amulet was the size of a palm, with complex patterns engraved upon it, showing obvious signs of wear and tear. A mysterious power was accumulating on it.

"Good!" He nodded and accepted the offer.

Facing the 'request' from two Official Wizards, a mere Wizard Apprentice had no capacity to resist.

「Otherworld. Jiliu City.」

With the path to the Wizard World blocked, Carl's spirits weren't high, so he decided to come here to clear his mind.

"Respected Guardian!" The Holy Knight Brown came to visit. "To ensure your safety, the Holy Hall has sent a Desecration Knight over. Should I let her in?"

"A Desecration Knight?" Carl, who was reading a book, looked up. "Let her in."

"Yes." Brown, with a smile, stepped back and brought someone in.

This was a person completely swathed in a black cloak from head to toe, a Great Sword hanging at their waist. A Great Sword, a size larger than a broad sword.

The cloaked figure has a slender build—could it be... a woman? Brown had mentioned that the Holy Hall would send someone. After several months, someone has finally arrived, and it's a woman?

"Yana." Approaching Carl, the cloaked figure knelt on one knee. "Greetings, respected Guardian."

Her voice was neutral, steady to the point of lacking any emotional fluctuation, akin to an emotionless machine.

"Rise," Carl said. "Could you let me see your face?"

The cloaked woman stood up, unwrapping her cloak.

Golden hair like a waterfall!

As the cloak fell away, light scattered like the golden glow of the rising sun from each strand of her hair. The sunlight filtered through her hair, touching her cheeks and reflecting in her profound and resolute eyes.

Her face was handsome and strong, with clear and powerful contours, deep-set eyes exuding a forbidding sharpness.

Underneath the cloak was a tight-fitting armor, gleaming with the harsh luster of metal, her agile form radiating explosive strength.
