I Become The Richest Man With A monthly Salary of Twenty Thousand Yuan

Chapter 260 Seeking Help

"It's all your fault! I don't care! I won't pay!"

Xia Liang turned around, picked up a brick from the roadside, waved it in the air, then smashed it forcefully onto the already wrecked Porsche 911. He looked at the young man with a cold smile.

"Tell me, which is harder: the steel pipe from before, the brick in my hand, or this Porsche 911? Of course, you could also argue your bones are the hardest!"

"Stop talking, bro, I'll pay! I'll pay!"

Stared at by Xia Liang like that, the young man felt he was in the exact same position as the Porsche 911 had been just moments ago. If it had been someone else, it might have been fine, but this was the ruthless man who had just smashed a Porsche 911 to smithereens.

He quickly cowered, terrified that if he was a second too late, the brick would be testing its hardness against his bones.

A grin touched Xia Liang's lips. He casually tossed the brick aside, patted the dust from his hands, and nodded in satisfaction.

"Ah, that's more like it. Making mistakes isn't scary; what's important is being brave enough to admit them and take responsibility. We're all civilized people here. Don't worry, I detest violence. Why resort to force when we can talk things out? Right?"

The young man nodded with a miserable expression. Yeah, right. If it weren't for the pile of junk that used to be a Porsche 911 right behind you, I'd actually have believed that crap!

"Good. Since you see things my way, transfer the money."

"But... I don't have any money!"

"Hmm? Are you messing with me?"

Xia Liang's expression darkened instantly, and he turned to pick up the brick he had just tossed away.

The young man, now on the verge of tears, waved his hands frantically. "I don't have money, but... but my sister does! I'll go home and ask my sister for it!"

Xia Liang raised an eyebrow but didn't press him further, simply nodding.

"Fine. Write an IOU."

"Okay!"

Afterward, the young man borrowed a pen and paper from the hospital and wrote an IOU to Xia Liang. The amount was clearly written: twenty Yuan.

Once he had the IOU, Xia Liang didn't give the young man any more trouble. He waved his hand and let him go, as he still had to continue his DiDi shift. He had just checked the man's status panel and already knew all his details.

Xia Liang wasn't worried about him running away. For one, the money wasn't significant to him; he just couldn't stand the kid's arrogance. For another, given Xia Liang's current standing, there was no one in his turf of Qingyun City that he couldn't find.

He then called for two tow trucks: one to take the essentially totaled Porsche 911 to the scrapyard, and the other to take his own Mercedes to the repair shop. Xia Liang then went home to switch cars; he couldn't let a minor incident like this get in the way of his DiDi career.

At the entrance of a high-end residential community in Qingyun City, Dong Jian walked in with a dark expression on his face. His mood was absolutely foul.

This morning, after much pleading and pestering, he had finally managed to borrow the Porsche 911 from his sister, planning to pick up a girl and get laid. The process had gone smoothly. If you pick the right spot, a sports car has a near-perfect success rate. Driving a Porsche was as good as having the hotel room key in hand. After all, materialistic girls had no resistance to luxury cars. Once they had a chance, they would latch on like a cat that smelled fish. And so, he had successfully arranged a date with a busty, curvy girl.

However, while he was out for a drive with the girl, feeling cool and carefree, he just so happened to encounter another sports car, a rare model with an astronomical price tag. To make matters worse, because the car was so rare and he knew nothing about such things, he failed to recognize it.

And to top it all off, for some goddamn reason, I just had to get cocky and block his car!

Great. Now he'd suffered a double loss. Not only was the borrowed Porsche 911 gone, but after emptying his bank card, he was still thirteen Yuan in debt. Thirteen Yuan! A full thirteen Yuan!

As a modern-day deadbeat who had never worked a day since graduation and survived by sponging off his parents and sister, Dong Jian had absolutely no way to repay a debt of thirteen Yuan. Forget thirteen Yuan; it would take him three to five years to earn even a fraction of that.

Thus, he had no choice but to trudge over to his sister's apartment, ready to confess and beg for her help. Of course, he knew his sister definitely couldn't repay a thirteen Yuan debt either. But just because she couldn't, didn't mean the rich second-generation heir who was keeping her couldn't.

And Dong Jian's ultimate target was that rich heir.

A guy who can casually give my sister a Porsche 911 to drive around probably wouldn't sweat a mere thirteen Yuan, right?

With this thought, Dong Jian knocked on his sister's front door.

The woman who opened it was dressed in pajamas and looked rather lethargic. Her face was plain, but she had a charm that grew on you. Her figure, however, was absolutely perfect; she practically had the word 'seductress' written all over her.

This was Dong Jian's sister, Dong Xin.

Even Dong Jian, who had grown up with her, couldn't help but feel a stir in his heart whenever he saw his sister dressed like this. Of course, it was just a fleeting impulse; Dong Jian still had some boundaries.

Seeing Dong Jian at the door, Dong Xin was startled. "Why are you back so early? You just borrowed the car this morning. Giving up on chasing girls tonight?"

Dong Jian gave a wry smile and walked straight into the apartment. "It's a long story. To put it short, the car is gone, and I owe a lot of money."

Dong Xin's brow furrowed. She closed the door and followed him, asking in a serious tone, "What happened? Did you get hustled in a honey trap? Or did you go gambling?"

Dong Jian shook his head. "Neither."

Then, sitting on the couch, he recounted the entire day's events from beginning to end, in painstaking detail.

After he finished, the room fell silent. It was a long while before Dong Xin finally spoke.

"So, you want me to help you repay thirteen Yuan?"

Dong Jian nodded slowly, looking at her with a pitiful expression. "Sis, you're the only one who can help me. You know our family's situation. Forget thirteen Yuan, we'd have trouble scraping together even three Yuan. And you know my situation even better—my pockets are cleaner than my face!"

After a long silence, Dong Xin finally sighed in resignation. "Alright, alright, don't panic. Go on home for now. He'll be over tomorrow night. I'll talk to him then and see if there's a way to sort this out for you."

Upon hearing this, a grin spread across Dong Jian's face. He leaned in closer and said, "Heh, I knew you were the best, Sis! You're the only one who helps me out when I'm in trouble! I'll head back now, then. Don't forget to ask him!"

"I know. Now, hurry up and go."
