Transmigrated as An Extra In My Novel's First Draft

Chapter 48: Dungeon Exploration [2]

Yet...despite being at the minatour's two undefended legs, Liam could do nothing, uselessly swiping his katana at its leg and dealing no damage.

Perhaps because of his shock, Leo was caught off-guard when the minatour suddenly rushed his right foot forward, hitting him right in the stomach,

Like a baseball upon being hit by a bat, Liam's body flew through the air in a perfect arc, landing at the edge of the stone platform.

Blood poured out of his mouth as he lay down on the ground, clutching his stomach, while his katana lay a few meters away from him.

With Leo no longer in the area, the minatour shifted its attention to me, raising its axe to the sky before rushing it down at my left.

Simultaneously, the bull kicked its right leg forward, blocking my escape from both directions.

Dodging backward was futile as the long axe would still hit me, so I rushed forward, leaping on a tile sticking out of the ground.

As the axe embedded itself in the ground behind me, I took the moment to position myself right in between the beast's two legs.

Unable to hit me with its axe, at the risk of hurting itself, the minatour wildly stomped its two feet around, attempting to crush me.

Yet, with perfect footwork, I easily switched between the minatour's two legs.

Right as one was about to crush me, I leaped next to the other.

As a result, the stone-brick platform below began to sink further and further inwards, making the minatour's two horns descend from an unreachable height.

Leaping to the left, barely managing to avoid being crushed, I glanced at Leo, who was simply gazing up at the sky, which was blocked by vines and leaves.

"GET UP AND HELP ME!"

Of course, he did not listen.

Out of breath and exhausted, I thought for a moment before screaming.

"DID YOUR PARENTS RAISE A LITTLE FOOL LIKE YOU!?"

Of course, just like any other main character, Leo had a tragic past, where both of his parents, both of humble origins, had died in a demonic monster invasion.

After living on the outskirts, surviving by stealing food, fighting other children, and sleeping on concrete, Leo had awakened and been discovered, joining an academy for heroes.

Slowly, but surely, Leo staggered upward, grabbing his katana and using it as a crutch to hold himself up.

*BANG*

Caught off guard, I found myself right below one of the minatour's descending legs, like a nail about to be crushed by a hammer.

However, a line stretching from the tip of Leo's katana appeared, aiming right at the leg about to hit me.

Not even bothering to attempt to dodge, I simply put down my sword, crouched, and waved at him, just like I had on the beach.

"Hey, Rank 1!"

His speed increasing to an inhuman level, Leo leaped forward and thrust his katana right at the leg, nearly centimeters away, pulverizing my body.

However, unlike last time, a blood-red hue suddenly covered his sword, and as the katana's tip met the minatour's skin barrier, it did not bounce.

Piercing through the blue hue surrounding the beast, the blade embedded itself deep into the minotaur's skin, splintering the bone.

Shocked by the immense pain surging through its body, the minatour stumbled backward, its body collapsing right behind me and sending a shockwave through the ground, as if they were an earthquake.

Leo had done it; he had formed his mana blade.

But, unlike any other mana blade in the world, Leo's had a unique characteristic: anti-magic, just like his eyes.

However, all the lines from his sword instantly vanished from my sight; the katana's anti-magic attribute prevented my holographic lines from appearing.

He was my trait's direct counter.

Leaping and rolling out, away from the minatour's collapsed figure, I repeated.

"Go for the horns."

The blood-red hue around his sword glowing even fiercer, Leo charged forward at the now-standing beast that now had a vicious scar on its right leg.

With a lunge forward, I vanished from sight and caught up to Leo as the minatour swept its battle axe horizontally at the ground.

Appearing right in between Leo and the axe, I held my Willow-Leaf Dao vertically, feeling the axe instantly make contact.

After a short moment, I was instantly sent flying into the air, my fragile body not able to handle the pressure of the axe, but for that moment, the axe had been slowed.

Leaping into the air, narrowly avoiding the axe, Leo easily reached the height of the minatour's head.

After all, it was standing on lower ground because of its stomping rampage earlier.

Without skipping a beat, he landed on the minatour's head and sliced through the beast's right horn, like a lumberjack cutting down a tree.

With its right horn turned into a stump, the beast let out a blood-curdling scream as its entire body shook uncontrollably.

*BANG*

The fragment of the pitch-black horn Leo had cut off landed at the edge of the stone-brick platform, as Leo's body flew off the beast's head and crashed into the ground a few meters away.

But I was there.

Grabbing Leo's collar, I lifted him back onto his feet as the one-horned minatour turned to face us, its eyes shining with vengeance.

It no longer held any need for defense as it charged at us like a bull, head first.

Leo and I doved in opposite directions as the bull rammed past us, crashing into the colisuem wall and causing the entire building to shake.

The coliseum's pillars broke apart, falling onto the platform and crumbling like glass.

Ignoring the fragments of stone-brick dropping from the sky, Leo and I sprinted toward the minatour, who was dazed by the impact.

Instantly, Leo stabbed his blood-red sword into the beast's other leg while I simply stood behind him, watching.

At that moment, as I predicted, the bull's right leg flew back, aiming right at the surprised Leo, ready to crush his face into pieces.

Grabbing Leo's collar, I yanked him backward and fell back myself, narrowly moving the two of us out of the range of the kick.
