From Slave to King: My Rebate System Built Me a Kingdom With Beauties!

Chapter 98: Gifts?

Byung knew he had to get out of here right away because there was a chance Borg had sent information about everything that was going on.

This would also explain how Rodell knew he was there with Maui, even though they had never met or come to the mines.

The humans had no idea about their connection, so it had to be someone on the inside.

He remembered Murkfang saying something about being responsible for the attack on the mine, which would mean the deaths that happened were ultimately his fault.

Byung had no idea why Murkfang trusted him with this secret, but it wasn't one he felt good keeping.

Did Murkfang work with Borg? How else did the orcs know to attack at that exact time? And then he vanished, leaving Gribnox to face the mess from his choice.

He was a coward, and Byung was starting to wonder if he was even worth saving.

Rodell had let them spend the day there, and they got stares everywhere they went.

The feeling of freedom was quickly gone as Byung could feel many eyes locked on him.

They were being watched closely, but he was still surprised by the welcome he got from these humans.

He expected them to tie them in chains and drag them to some dark prison, but something interesting caught his eye.

The wanted posters. There was one that had been torn off the wall, and a few others were blurred from time.

Byung could only wonder how long these posters had been up, but his eyes finally landed on the goblin known as Vrognut.

"Huh? A goblin is wanted?" Byung muttered under his breath, and rightfully so, because a goblin's power shouldn't reach this far out.

He noticed the reward was much smaller than the others the humans had labeled as outlaws.

The highest was the dwarf, but he noticed Maui's body tense as she got close to the poster.

"Know someone?" Byung asked her, and Maui wasn't going to lie—she knew the person in one of those posters.

"That is Vrognut," Maui pointed out, like Byung was supposed to know him.

"Who is Vrognut?" Byung questioned, and it hit Maui that he had no idea this goblin was even coming. She thought Gribnox or someone else would have told him, but clearly that news hadn't reached him yet.

She knew because Kragg had told her and even wanted her to fight him before she was attacked.

"He is a goblin you will soon meet. Last I heard, he was on his way to the Western Province where you live," Maui told him, but Byung could tell right away from her voice that this goblin was bad news.

"Why does he sound like bad news?" Byung questioned, and Maui took a deep breath.

"There is a chance many of your friends will be dead by the time you get back," Maui told him.

Byung didn't say much. His eyes narrowed as he stared at the wicked grin on the poster's face, a grin born from the evil he had spread into the world.

"I see… Then I will kill him myself if that happens," Byung said without a second thought.

Maui was surprised by his strong words because he had seemed unsure before, but something had changed since she came back.

She couldn't quite figure it out, but his determination had grown stronger.

This brought a smile to her face because he was no longer a scared boy unsure of what he wanted.

But he wouldn't need to worry about Vrognut if he could bring the Stonehide tribe to his side.

There would be no goblin that could stand against him, and he would be able to match some of the strongest tribes.

However, it would take a miracle for him to come out of that fight alive, but that one percent chance was what she was betting on.

This was a do-or-die situation, and there was no room for doubt. She was sure Byung knew this, but unlike him, she had seen the orc's strength with her own eyes.

She was a different kind of monster, and Maui understood right away why she had been banished from her tribe.

And like Kragg said, the full moon was coming soon. It fell on the day of the duel, which meant she would be at her strongest.

-

Murkfang was hidden well. He was relieved because he knew it was only a matter of time before Byung found him.

He just had to stay low and spread his scent by peeing around himself so Byung could smell him easier.

But Murkfang knew this could be a trap to use Byung to find him, yet something told him that wasn't the case.

He was unimportant, and they already had all the information they needed from him, so there was no point worrying about it anymore.

He wanted to get out of here, and judging by how Maui and Byung were treated, they had made a good impression, which could help them.

Murkfang had no doubt Byung could do it. His plan had failed, but it worked out in the end.

He hadn't been sure if Byung would come, but luckily for him, Byung was smarter than he was.

Murkfang kept looking over his shoulder because he knew his hiding spot wasn't safe.

There was a chance the humans would find him first, but this was a risk he had to accept.

Murkfang was starving and worn out. He could feel his eyes closing to save some energy since his body had gone past its limit.

He couldn't stay awake all day and night, but Byung being here pulled his body out of survival mode because he just knew everything was going to be alright.

-

Byung and Maui finished their talk with Rodell and were led to their shared room.

Byung understood right away that humans were on a different level when it came to buildings, but they hadn't discovered electricity.

This was something that seemed out of their reach, which was a bit disappointing because he had higher hopes for the humans.

This showed the goblins weren't as far behind as he thought. They could catch up much sooner than he expected.

"What do you think of Rodell?" Maui questioned, but Byung knew things weren't going as planned.

"He is dangerous…" Byung answered right away, partly because he couldn't read Rodell and also because he had admitted he might have a spy among the orcs.

If that was true, he knew a lot more than he showed, which meant their lies could easily be proven or disproven.

"Do you think we will find Murkfang?" Maui asked him, but Byung raised an eyebrow because she should be able to smell him. Then he quickly remembered the scent was a little different from his usual smell.

"I know we will. I have his scent. He is alive," Byung told her, and Maui let out a sigh of relief.

"I'm glad to hear that," Maui replied. Byung thought about telling her his suspicions but decided to keep them to himself.

He had to figure this out on his own, but before they could talk more, a soft knock on the door stopped them.

Byung quickly cleared his throat. They had been speaking in low voices so it would be hard for anyone outside to hear what was said.

"Who is there?" Byung questioned.

"I'm the lady from before," the person answered behind the door. Byung looked over his shoulder to see Maui's reaction.

The nature of their relationship was unclear to him beyond the fact that he owned her.

There was nothing else she could do but accept his actions, but Byung wanted to take a different path with their bond.

The only way to earn true loyalty, but Maui didn't look upset, even though Byung knew why she was here.

"Come in," Maui answered, and the door creaked open to show both of them.

The man and lady from earlier stood at the door, but they barely had any clothes on.

"Is there something we can help you with?" Maui asked, but the see-through gown the lady wore already showed her purpose. The man wore something similar, but of the male kind, and his cock was hidden.

Byung gulped, and Maui looked at him. She instantly knew what this was when she did.

"Oh," Maui muttered awkwardly before turning her eyes back to the two humans in front of them.

It was no secret most orcs felt honored when a human chose to mate with them.

The humans had perfect genes that made their growth endless, unlike their own limiting genes.

"We are here to serve you, just as Rodell ordered," they both lowered their clothes to show their collarbones, like they were dolls.

Maui's eyes were fixed on the lady. She had such soft features. She looked at the man and then back at Byung.

She wasn't going to share her body with anyone else, but finding mates for him seemed normal to her.

Maui walked toward the lady and ran her rough finger along her collarbones.

She looked over at the man. There was nothing special about him.

"You, leave…" Maui ordered him, and the man was confused for a moment but obeyed anyway.
