" The nobles on the other hand can simply operate from the shadows, running several fruitful businesses and at the same time, also reaping a constant stream of revenue, while doing little to no work at all."
Su Ping turned silent after hearing all Rugard had said. The more he thought about it, the more he found his words plausible.
To think that something he found strange was actually due to a series of strategic planning by several other's.
' He's also not simple either... To think he's even aware of such a grand ruse, which makes me wonder just how shrewd this human is and whether it was actually a good idea to have him tag along.' Su Ping said to himself.
" We must be almost halfway through since we've encountered a hobgoblin. From here on out, we should run into far more monsters than we did when we began." Rugard wiped his bloodied weapon on the hobgoblins body before returning his focus back to Su Ping.
The necromancer was still helpless when he noticed the silent look on the demons face.
What he said prior to their conversation, was right, no one usually traveled through roads like this in the night because there was a high chance of monsters popping out during the journey.
Lion heart Kingdom was a nation governed by humans yet that didn't mean only humans could be found within it's boarder's. One of their most troublesome matters was the constant infestation of monster's.
These monsters didn't only plague the Lion heart Kingdom but all other kingdoms within the continent. They didn't belong to a nation of their own but simply inhabited certain areas, breeding and trying to survive. Like wild beasts, they wouldn't pass off the opportunity to devour another, though some higher leveled monster's were able to think as well as other cognitive races like humans, elves and the like.
Su Ping sighed in the end, he had thought about summoning more undead to deal with the monsters ahead but that would instead become another problem since he didn't know of a way to get rid of them.
" If your thinking of using your aura to keep them away, I would highly advice against that... Your aura might not be the best thing children should be exposed to, especially when they're enjoying their slumber." Rugard said.
" You might not like it, but the only option we have is to keep moving forward." Rugard casually twirled his spear with his fingers before tossing it up and skillfully catching it when it came spinning down.
' I hate to admit it, but he's right. We'll just have to keep moving like this. No matter how irritating it is to stop constantly on intervals.' Su Ping stared into the distance, silent.
' At the very least, I get a constant supply of meat so it's not a total waste of time.'
Rugard watched Su Ping silently, he let out a smirk when he saw Su Ping head back into the cart without a word.
" Fortunately, he's sensible when it comes to his kids." Rugard mumbled beneath his breath as they continued the journey.
A lone goblin was creeping through the forest when it's ears suddenly perked up. It's eyes brightened the next moment when it realized that the sound it had heard, was that of cart wheels rolling across the soil.
Kekekekeke
The goblin chuckled beneath it's breath, as it stealthily approached the edge of the forest. It hid behind a tree and peeped down the road to see a caravan of undead.
The goblins happy expression turned wary at the sight of the undead but when it suddenly caught the sent of food and the sight of a human amongst the caravan, a disgusting grin emerged on its face.
The goblin licked it's lips, Seeing the human, he was no longer afraid of the undead following the caravan. It had already dealt with several caravans and carts passing through this roads with its nest members on several occasion. So long as they killed the human summoner, the undead would naturally return back to whence they came.
Kekekekeke
The goblins large pointed nose, shook as it did well to stifle it's laughter, not wanting to alert their prey.
" You even have the gall to laugh, now do you?" The goblin stiffened when a chilling voice came from behind it. It didn't bother turning around but fled in a panic, goblins weren't bright creatures but they weren't complete fools either.
Since whoever it was, managed to get behind it without it noticing, it knew that it wouldn't be able to survive facing such a person.
Keke?!
The goblins soul seemed to have left it's body when it's feet didn't move even though it desperately tried to flee. It glanced down at it's leg's only to cry out in surprise when it noticed that it's feet was stuck in place by tendrils composed of darkness.
URRGH!
The goblin chocked when Su Ping's hand clamped around it's neck before lifting it upwards.
" Don't bother resisting... Your not making it to see tomorrow either way..." The struggling goblin suddenly went limp when it's gaze met Su Ping's.
Su Ping then tossed the goblin aside. The goblin crashed onto the earth but it slowly got up the next moment before standing Infront of Su Ping like an obedient soldier.

[Y/N]
' Yes...' Su Ping easily controlled the goblin and had it submit.
" What is it you desire master, this useless servant is ready to comply." The goblin prostrated before Su Ping.
Su Ping eyes were filled with disgust but he didn't say anything. He had used his psychic abilities and Dark Dragon Eyes to put the goblin under a permanent illusion that forced it to see Su Ping as someone it revered unconditionally.
Seeing the goblin easily become complacent, Su Ping sighed, thinking to himself that if he had done the same with Qingwa Yi and his swamp region subordinates, maybe he wouldn't have lost so terribly back then.
