' I can't do it...' Su Ping felt dissatisfaction that his ability proved unhelpful this time around, from the looks of it, he really couldn't do everything just by seeing it.
" We'll just take them along" Su Ping let out a breath.
' I don't see anything wrong with taking them out in the open, they could even help us ward off unwanted attention. '
Su Ping had the 8 undead skeleton solider's manage the carts with the remaining 12 forming an encirclement round the carts, as for the 5 wandering wraiths, he had 4 of them remain close to one cart respectively. While the last was made to stay at the foremost front of the group.
The horses were spoked by the undead but with the help of Su Pings permanent illusions, they perked up like eager working beasts of burden.
Like that, Su Ping led the caravan and got Melinda and the kids before they all left the devastated village and the ruined villagers behind.
" Darling, are you sure we couldn't have just left in the morning." Melinda held the kids while leaning onto Su Ping. Su Ping simply shook his head.
' Staying any longer would only put us in even more danger. We don't know when anyone would arrive at the village nor do we know who it'll be. Leaving tonight increases our chances of survival.'
' I'd rather not fight any troublesome opponents with the three of you around.' Su Ping secretly glanced at his wife and kids without saying a single word.
He let out a light sigh before gazing out the back of the tarped cart at the silent night sky. As their make shift caravan moved forward, the only sounds they heard where the rhythmic marching of the undead and the nights own natural lullaby.
A cold draft suddenly blew into the cart causing Melinda and the children to shiver but they quickly calmed down the next moment when Su Ping got up to get several layers of warm blankets which he used to wrap the three of them.
The night stretched on as they continued to move forward. Su Ping continued to watch over the three of them in silence, his draconian eyes glowing in the dark.
He quietly made his way to the edge of the cart, Su Ping popped his head out to glance at Rugard who was walking along side the moving cart.
" Aren't you tired from walking so much." Su Ping said, eyeing the human strangely. Since they had begun this journey through the night, Rugard quietly followed their cart without complaining even while Su Ping had already allowed him to rest in one of the other carts as they traveled.
" Does my ears deceive me, or does it sound like your actually worried about me." Rugard snickered.
" If you wish to walk then go walk alongside the other carts... I'd rather you not disturb their rest." Su Ping had no idea what his aim was, whether he was trying to show of how resilient he was, or whether he had something else in mind. Ever since Rugard remained unfazed, even after he had killed jack, he didn't like this humans company.
Rugard simply chuckled before stopping, till the cart behind reached his side, only then did he continue his silent walk.
Su Pings eyes squinted yet he didn't say anything else, instead retreating into the cart once more.
" Do you wish for me to head farther back?" Rugard said when Su Ping's head popped out of the carriage once more.
" Stop trying to irritate me and use your ear's properly." Rugard was confused but did as Su Ping said.
Rugards expression suddenly turned solemn, realizing what Su Ping really meant.
" It seems like there's more than one. Can you deal with them on your own without causing too much noise."
Rugard didn't say anything but quietly left the caravan and walked into the forest on their right.
Su Ping retreated back into the cart but his expression suddenly turned displeased as he peaked outside the carriage again.
" There's more than one group... Looks like we've run into a swarm of maggots." Su Pings eyes glowed coldly underneath the night sky.
He silently leaped out of the cart, the instant he landed on the ground, a shroud of darkness blended in with the night and spread outwards, towards the left forest, from his feet.
' They don't seem to possess much magical power.'
' Since that's the case, let's get rid of them, all at once..'

The next moment, he suddenly heard several stunned cries one after another followed by consecutive thuds, similar to the sound of several dropping bodies.
" Go gather the bodies." Su Ping ordered two skeleton solider's to head into the left forest, which they did.
They soon returned with two creatures in each of their arms which they dropped at Su Pings feet before heading back in.
Su Ping took a closer look and noticed that the creature had blood stains leaking out of it's mouth as if it had vomited blood before dying.
This was due to Su Ping using the touch of darkness skill to imbue the creatures with an overwhelming amount of concentrated magical power within one spot in their bodies, their heart's. He did want to cause a commotion by doing what he did to the late captain, By doing this, he forced their hearts to burst.
After the two skeleton solider's completed several trips, Su Ping found lots of dead bodies lay'd in a small mountain Infront of him.
At the same time, Rugard came out of the right forest drenched in blood and holding a bone spear with several decapitated heads, stuck to it's tip.
" What are these?" Su Ping glanced at green skinned corpses the size of children with pointed ears and noses.
' They kinda remind me of the imp demons back in the Abyss, only these guys look way too weak in compa
rison.' Su Ping recalled the energetic Imp demons and couldn't help but sigh due to the nostalgia.
