Mythical Era: My Evolution into a Celestial Beast

Chapter 1011: The Passage of Time and a Malicious Gaze (I)

Unlike the Eternal World, which had been sacrificed to the Dark-Red World, the ancestral homeland of the Faeries had been completely blown apart by Purgatory demon gods, leaving behind a destruction zone spanning over a million kilometers.

In this land, the laws were in chaos, space was torn apart, and the ground had crumbled into countless floating shards, drifting aimlessly in a vast sea of demonic qi. Within that endless, churning darkness, terrifying auras hid in the shadows, and massive, grotesque figures occasionally flickered into view. This place felt like the very embodiment of infinite hell.

Just then, at the edge of the destruction zone, heaven and earth shook violently. With a thunderous boom, space split open, revealing a black rift stretching over a thousand kilometers. From within it, a towering figure of a demon with wings slowly emerged.

It was Tyretis, standing hundreds of meters tall. A dreadful pressure of principles radiated from its body, causing the tremors in the realm to intensify at once. The overwhelming presence instantly drew the attention of countless true demons.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Nine demon-god-level auras erupted deep within the destruction zone, shaking all of heaven and earth. Waves of dark demonic qi surged like mountains roaring and seas crashing.

The nine demon god pressures were split into three factions. One of them was relatively weak, its aura unstable, as if it had only recently broken through to the beginning stage of the ancient titan level.

The strongest of the nine, however, was equal to Tyretis. Its blazing demonic force surged like a dark red pillar piercing the heavens, taking the form of a towering phantom manifested by its will that reached the sky.

Dark red light bands formed from surrounding principles swirled around it. The phantom of the demon god cast its gaze across hundreds of thousands of kilometers, landing on Tyretis at the edge of the region. A low, slow voice rang out. "Tyretis, have you come because of that Human Alliance?"

Tyretis nodded slowly. "That's right. It's become powerful enough to threaten our Purgatory Clan. The speed at which their strength has grown feels almost as if they are one of the mythical world's chosen races. They need to be dealt with soon. More importantly, there might be a primordial origin involved. Don't tell me you're not tempted."

The demon god phantom said in a detached tone, "Stephenel already told me about it. Of course I'm interested. Once I finish refining the Faerie Race's foundation, I'll head to the front lines myself."

"There's no time to waste." Tyretis responded. "That human has become a Child of Fate. The speed at which his strength is growing is so fast, even I find it shocking. Just one day-cycle ago, when he appeared on the Heavenly Feathered Battlefield, his cultivation was only at the peak of the demon king level, yet his combat power was already comparable to the peak of the great demon king level. Now, his cultivation has already broken into the demon god level. And his power... even I can't say with certainty that I could suppress him."

A ripple of will surged from the demon god's phantom. Its voice was heavy with seriousness. "Tyretis, are you certain about this?"

"Do I look like I'm joking?" Tyretis replied coldly.

Although they had successfully destroyed Chen Chu's summoning altar in the previous battle, the combat strength Chen Chu displayed in that fight had still left Tyretis shaken.

"Most importantly," Tyretis continued, "Constantine had already begun preparations to forcibly awaken the Primordial Ancestor in response to the threat from the Human Alliance. Although I managed to stop it, regardless of its reasons, we must act quickly to suppress the Human Alliance and crush this threat before it grows any stronger."

The demon god's phantom narrowed its eyes at that, now filled with a chilling, murderous intent. "That bastard. It actually dared to awaken the Primordial Ancestor by force? When I suggested we join forces to kill it back then, you should've agreed. We wouldn't be in this mess now."

The voices of the two great demon gods were cloaked in principle power, so none of the other demons within the destruction zone could sense their exchange. Tyretis indifferently replied, "There were too many uncertainties in killing it. The risk outweighed the reward. Back then, we didn't even know the true extent of its injuries. This time, when we destroyed Chu Batian's summoning altar, I managed to see the Primordial Ancestor's form. Its injuries have mostly recovered."

"That's troublesome."

"It is. We don't have much time left. Our only chance is to suppress the Human Alliance and enter that primordial world before the Ancestor fully awakens. If we can seize a trace of origin... then there's still hope for us."

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Soon, the entire destruction zone began to shake. Nine towering demon god figures tore through the darkness and slowly emerged, followed by billions of True Purgatory Demons.

These legions were led by individual demon kings, with great demon kings serving as their generals. Under the vast, sky-darkening shroud of demonic qi, they marched forth in overwhelming force.

More than a million kilometers from the Human Expansion Division, a dangerous region stretched across the land. Raging winds swept through the area, and all life had long been erased. There was nothing but desolate, gray-white rocky mountains.

High above the weathered mountain range that stretched for tens of thousands of kilometers, Chen Chu appeared out of thin air. His long black hair draped over his shoulders as he stood atop a towering peak, tens of thousands of meters high, surveying the land in all directions. "This should be the place."

According to the intel provided by Heavenly King Jiuyou, the entrance to the ancient ruins was located at the highest peak of this wind-eroded range. As for how to enter it...

Boom!

Chen Chu stomped his foot, and a surge of power erupted. Space within several dozen kilometers shattered, and a black shockwave burst forth, sweeping through heaven and earth. The mountain beneath his feet erupted with a thunderous roar, shattering into countless fragments and clouds of dust that blasted outward in all directions. It was a scene of overwhelming power and destruction.

In that instant, the entire world seemed consumed by the deafening roar of the explosion. Amid the collapse caused by Chen Chu's near world-shattering power, an ancient and mighty force began to surface from the mountainside.

Buzz!

Waves of white light rippled out from the mountainside, dispersing the dust and calming the space. Slowly, a weathered stone gate emerged from the void. It stood less than a kilometer tall, modest in size compared to the towering structures that often reached tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of meters. Carved into either side of the gate were two blurry alien figures, both of whom were kneeling and had wings on their backs.

One of the aliens held a broken stone tablet in its hands, while the other held nothing at all. Mysterious patterns surrounded both figures, and a faint aura of temporal power radiated from them, distorting space and time. Although the gate appeared to be standing here, it didn't truly exist within this moment or this plane of reality.

"Power of time, huh?" Chen Chu's eyes lit up with interest.

Originally, he had only come to deal with the cult god, Gai. This so-called minor ruin was nothing of real importance; even if it contained valuable resources, Gai had likely refined them long ago.

Hum!

A broken stone tablet appeared in Chen Chu's hand, trembling slightly. The residual power on its surface stirred to life, releasing faint ripples that resonated with the gray stone gate. The entire gate began to tremble at once. Ripples of invisible temporal energy spread outward, surrounding Chen Chu and the stone tablet in his hand. The tablet slipped from his hand without any resistance and flew straight into the grasp of the winged alien figure carved on the gate, the one that had previously held nothing.

Boom!

With a thunderous rumble, the gate swung open, revealing three straight, wide white passages, each shrouded in thick, swirling white mist. Even Chen Chu couldn't see how far they extended. Confident in both his strength and his ability to anchor himself through his hell coordinates, Chen Chu didn't hesitate. His figure flickered and passed through the gate into the ruins.

However, the moment he stepped in, the flow of space and time twisted around him. Though he had aimed for the passage in the middle, he found himself appearing in the left one instead. Then, the other two passageways vanished without a trace.

"These aliens seem particularly skilled in manipulating spacetime. But I didn't come here to explore." Standing in the wide passage filled with thick white mist, Chen Chu released an explosive surge of power.
