Chapter 162: Yahoshi II

Plump~

Tai Hun's headless body slipped into the deep pit until she was gone from all sight, into an eternal slumber not many knew about.

The crowd was shocked, in awe at the sudden event that had just played out in front of them.

Before they could fully understand what was happening, another figure slipped out from the dark hole.

Even before her head had surfaced, a dark mist scattered through the crowd in a matter of minutes, causing everyone to freeze in shock.

Fear.

Anxiety.

These emotions were etched on the faces of those who watched, as they wondered who could be growing out of the mysterious hole and sending such terrifying fright into their hearts.

As though answering their hidden questions, the veiled woman stood right on the platform, her body covered from head to toe in transparent black fabric.

All who had their eyes on her were immediately intrigued by her presence.

Her face and body were fully covered, but her purple eyes were not hard to miss.

If anything, one could say those purple pearls were the first thing anyone noticed above all else.

Dorian remained behind the ladies, his eyes narrowed as he tried to figure out who that could be.

The only reason he was not as restless as the others was due to the dragon aura and god aura, both working to strengthen his fortitude.

The women around him also shared this blessing since they were all connected to him—all but Revina, of course.

She stood there, barely able to summon her sword, with her eyes widened and sweat trailing down the side of her face.

Finally… with the help of his skill [Super Vision], he was able to see the face hiding behind the fabric.

"Yahoshi," Dorian forcefully spoke, staring at the woman with an even bigger shock than the others.

He wasn't mistaken.

It was definitely Yahoshi.

He would never mistake that blue hair and gut-wrenching purple eyes.

Suddenly, the figure looked at him, then she pointed. "I found you."

Dorian didn't flinch, but he felt that eerie, dark feeling suddenly swell inside him. Before he could even think to react…

"Damn you! What the hell are you doing here?" Maria yelled, drawing her golden blade to the side, arching forward and getting ready to launch herself.

She had a twisted look on her face, one born from anger and nothing else.

As soon as the system notifications came pouring in, Dorian held Maria's hand, halting her from moving even a step.

Though it was subtle and very unnoticeable, the figure did react to Dorian touching Maria.

Her lips separated for a bit before she bit them.

"Maria, do you hate her?" whispered Dorian, keeping a straight face the entire time.

Maria somewhat calmed down, slightly turning her face to her lord.

She didn't respond; instead, she carried a sad look on her face.

Seraphina reacted the same way to the question, only she looked to the ground, holding both her hands in front.

"Fine. You don't have to respond to me now. For now, my instinct is telling me she won't hesitate to kill everyone here if she feels like it. Your first task is to make sure everyone makes it out of here. Keep them away from this… vanity."

"My lo-" Maria was about to protest this, but Dorian stopped her before she could.

"That was an order," he added. "As long as she is not provoked, she won't act. So I need you to be ready for that, just in case. Ciel and Celes will join you soon."

Seraphina only nodded her head as she walked away, attending to the order Dorian had given them.

After much hesitation, Maria did as well, her gaze lingering on Yahoshi for a while before looking away.

Dorian sighed. 'The fact she hasn't attacked yet means she isn't planning on being violent. Not unless we force her hand. The question is, how long can that last for?'

He locked eyes with her.

[The skill Analysis has been activated.]

[Name: Yahoshi.]

[True Identity: Witch God of Evernight.]

Dorian chuckled a bit. 'My ex is the God of Witches? That's not something I ever thought I'd be hearing.'

He stared at her for a while. Yahoshi had not moved a step ever since she slipped out of the dark hole.

Glancing to the side, he noticed Revina had somewhat managed to maintain her cool, though her fingers were still shaking.

As for the rest, both the knights and the audience were all frozen in fear, not moving a single muscle.

It was as though they were hypnotized.

Soon, Dorian began to take slow steps forward. Not only did he want to make sure he didn't provoke her, but he also needed to understand what was going on and how much, exactly, she had been controlling behind the scenes.

Had she always been the God of Witches? Even while they were dating in their former world? Did she recently get this power? Does that mean she also reincarnated like him? These questions hung in his mind with every step he took.

After a while, Dorian stood only several feet away from her, his eyes calm and collected.

"Yo-"

Not even a word after, and Yahoshi had flickered to his front in the blink of an eye.

So fast that even Dorian could not react in time. She cupped his cheeks with her hands and then kissed him so hard their moans could be heard across the silent crowd.

Yahoshi made sure to shove her tongue into his mouth, licking him back and forth while fighting the urge to reach for her lower part.

Dorian was way too surprised to understand what was happening.

While he was active enough to be prepared for an unexpected attack, the kiss still caught him off guard.

Maria and Seraphina watched from a long distance, a slight frown on their faces as they noticed how intensely Dorian was being kissed.

Pop~

Yahoshi moved away, stumbling back a few feet, with her hand on her lips.

She didn't say anything, but Dorian could hear the excited mumbles from under the fabric.

"Y-Yahoshi, is it really you?" He immediately started a conversation right after. If she kissed him, it must mean she doesn't hate him. Most likely.

"Of course. I have come for you. Just like I promised." Her voice was void of life, sending only chills to his body. "Did you miss me? I missed you. I missed you so much. I missed you all the time. I missed you every day."

An uncomfortable look played on his face right after. 'It's Yahoshi, alright.

Only she could say something like this and get away with it.' Still, he played it off with a fake smile.

"O-of course I did. How are you here, though? And why are you all covered? I thought you hated it when you couldn't expose your skin?" He spoke the first few questions to graze his mind in that moment.

Yahoshi tried to take a step forward, a smile on her face as she hugged her hands around her chest.

However, upon taking that very step, she stopped, a small frown playing on her face before she looked down.

She noticed a small, glass-like substance growing on her feet.

"Tsk. Too early," she blurted out.

Dorian noticed she had stopped, and while he didn't know why, he still had a bad feeling about it.

So, to affirm that the others were safe, he looked around, scanning the ground to make sure everyone was safe.

From what he could see, Maria and the rest had managed to secure the safety of everyone, down to the last knight.

All that was left was Seraphina, a worried look on her face as she stood in the middle with Celes right behind her as a guard.

'Good, they are safe. I can just-'

"Why are you so heartless…?"

Dorian immediately looked at Yahoshi after she spoke those words. "Eh?"

"Looking at another woman even though I went through all this trouble to get here. Why are you so heartDless? It's me, your love. The 'other mes' are nothing compared to what I can do for you. Look at me instead…" Her voice was shaky but scary at the same time.

'Other mes?' Dorian questioned, only to notice the dark shadows grabbing his feet a moment later.

'Fuck.'

Dorian found himself suddenly kneeling to the ground. But that wasn't the strange part.

The moment the shadows had gotten hold of a good amount of his body, Dorian lost all connections to all of his powers.

The dragon aura.

The god aura.

And even the system was nowhere to be seen.

It was as though they had all gone nonexistent.

"Darling!" Seraphina didn't hesitate to charge forward, Celes immediately using her mouth to lift her up and place Seraphina on her back.

One thing was obvious: Yahoshi wanted to take Dorian away, just as she did Tai Hun.

The shadows had begun pulling Dorian deeper into the portal, and it seemed like he was truly going to go in, seeing as Yahoshi was also sinking into a different shadow as well.
