Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 1178: Encounter_2

Why suddenly return to Mardis? This is easier to understand. Clearly, the Federation forces in Valan realized that the Titan Elves were not an easy target. On the contrary, staying here longer would only result in greater losses. Therefore, they decided to withdraw and found themselves a good excuse.

In contrast, the Flames Legion's actions were much more righteous. Not only did Mardis accept fifty million Rekart refugees, but he also actively made contact with Rekart. Even the Speaker couldn't fathom what kind of sinister cards the Federation was playing?

Is the Federation trying to annex Rekart? I have to say, it's not an exaggeration to think this way. Rekart in this period is in turmoil. Once, it was the strongest nation in the world, but with the Titan Elves' invasion, Rekart's refugees will be dispersed worldwide.

They might return after the war ends, or settle directly there, or... any possibility.

But don't overlook one point. Rekart has been the strongest human nation. If it falls, will other countries fare well? This reason is invalid. The Speaker is utterly puzzled as to why the Federation would accept Rekart at this critical moment. Although it's humane to accept them, the Federation is closer to Diya. Could it merely be because of John's words that he doesn't like Diya?

If what John said is true, Rekart should indeed remember the Flames Legion.

Yet, in every way, this seemed more like a political maneuver from the Federation leaders, willing to make this move to strengthen ties with Rekart.

But this reasoning also doesn't hold. At this juncture, it's uncertain if humanity can endure. Why would the Federation extend aid during such a time? For a moment, even Speaker Lei himself was conflicted. Could it be that John is just genuinely dissatisfied with the Diya Alliance?

This... this would be too capricious. Coupled with John's status and the geographical location of the Mardis war zone, he soon linked it to another possibility. Perhaps the Flames Legion or John himself had some unpleasantness with Diya, but this wouldn't affect Rekart's gratitude towards the Flames Legion.

Unexpectedly, even Kexiao appeared at this critical moment. Hadn't he already retired? There were rumors that he was dead, but regardless of his status, his appearance directly facilitated the pivotal breakout of the scattered troops, which was a favor no less than the help from the Flames Legion.

In contrast, Diya forces showed no indication. Bear in mind, we're supposed to be back-to-back allies, yet when my people want to send supplies to you, you claim you're transporting them elsewhere, which truly feels like heaven and earth apart.

At this moment, the Capital Planet of Rekart received urgent news. The fringe planets were lost, and some Titan Elf troops remained on the fringe planets while some advanced towards two other planets.

The Speaker abruptly stood from his chair, "What did you say!? They are advancing to the other two planets."

"Yes, Your Excellency the Speaker."

Too fast, too fast! The speed is simply too quick. Even the Silver Alliance Speaker, having abandoned two star sectors in advance, was startled by this news. At this rate, isn't it likely that in just over a day, the Titan Elves could reach the Rekart Capital?

Though considering previously, two days to reach Rekart was the most conservative estimate, the probability wasn't high. Who knew the enemy was so swift? It truly aligns with the saying, 'Speed is a soldier's finest asset.'

Due to the direct abandonment of two planets, there was no resistance in between. In fact, these two planets were initially uninhabited.

First, developing star sectors is far from building structures, requiring countless resources and manpower, and they carry unknown risks. It requires extended observation to determine if a planet is suitable for development.

Secondly, because of distance, the inland star sectors haven't been fully developed, let alone taking the time to embark on such long journeys to extract resources from distant planets.

Watching the dense Titan Elf forces soar across the sky, Sky Shadow was surprised too. They never expected Rekart to fall so swiftly. How long has it been, and they've gotten this far?

"Hmph, all good."

The sinister smile on Sky Shadow's face sent a chill down the two children's spines, causing fear without understanding why, just sensing this eerie smile was terrifying and spine-chilling.

Detecting signs of human life, several Titan Elf warriors descended from the sky, surrounding Sky Shadow, Feng Luo, and Feng Wu in no time at all.

Upon seeing who arrived, Sky Shadow was equally surprised. These Titan Elf warriors looked so similar to humans, except for their pointed ears. Even their physiques were similar. Of course, their skin was white, and their entire bodies were wrapped in an unknown material, seemingly soft yet immensely resilient.

Additionally, they had hair, though far longer than humans, and it could move, seemingly possessing sensory nerves.

"Human!"

The Titan Elves showed brief surprise, but Sky Shadow's insight couldn't miss it.

"Are you from the Fairy Clan?"

"Humans, cease resistance, surrender immediately."

They conveyed human language using a sound akin to speakers while adopting a stance, seemingly ready.

Feng Luo and Feng Wu trembled in fear, while Sky Shadow smiled, "Young ones, take this."

He handed each of them a piece of light transmission.

Feng Luo and Feng Wu already knew the function of the light transmission; it was part of yesterday's lesson taught by Uncle Sky Shadow. But they never expected to receive the crystal the next day.

Though Feng Luo was scared of Sky Shadow, he also worried about him: "Uncle Sky Shadow, what about you if we leave?"

"Young ones, you'd better worry about yourselves. Today's lesson is temporarily suspended, you leave first."

"But..." Feng Wu tried to say something.

"Stop wasting so many words! Leave here!"

Sky Shadow's roar had its intended effect. At his words, Feng Luo and Feng Wu acted without hesitation, and directly activated the light transmission.

In the blink of an eye, both disappeared, reappearing in Sky City, where the Blade Warrior resided.

Sky Shadow, however, did not move. It's not that he couldn't leave, but he simply didn't plan to.

"Fairy Clan, I suggest you all attack me together."

The female warriors exchanged glances. This was a human male, yet they felt a special kind of impulse! Fortunately, the female warriors leaned more towards combat. Though the two children escaped, enslaving an adult was still a gain.

"We won't kill you, cease resistance, surrender immediately."

'But I will kill you,' Sky Shadow intended to say, but he changed his mind, "Apparently, you're capable of communication. Answer me, what's the purpose of invading humans?"

"Courting death!"

Hearing this, Sky Shadow's rage surged, and he charged straight at the Fairy Clan warrior with a punch.

Yet, with just one hand, the Fairy warrior blocked all of Sky Shadow's attacks. Their warriors possess First-Order combat capabilities. Humans are merely insignificant against this.

"No! Impossible!"

Sky Shadow's astonishment was fully evident, unable to believe their mere punch easily neutralized his attack.

The Fairy Clan warrior, with an ambiguous expression, almost disdainful yet seemingly pitying, withdrew her hand.

"You cannot possibly possess such power."

"Every Fairy Clan warrior has strength akin to mine."

"What! Is this standard among your warriors?"

"You could say that, come with us."

"Wait!" At that moment, Sky Shadow halted, "Going with you isn't impossible, but I want to know your purpose."

"No comment, our mission is merely battle."

"Oh, tools, are you?"

"Tools?"

"Saying more wouldn't make you understand. Seems you're truly unaware. Then, let us continue our battle."

"Foolish, you know you lack the strength for resistance."

"The fool is you. Earlier, I was just joking." The aura around Sky Shadow suddenly changed. If their average strength spreads only to First-Order, then no matter how many come, he wouldn't fear.
